Who would have thought at the beginning of this war that the US would be at a stalemate with Iran. at the beginning of the war, I feared the worst for Iran.

Somehow, it seems, I overestimated the military capabilities of the US. It was almost inconceivable that the US would run out of interceptors, yet here we are, the US seems to have given up on military power, all of a sudden they just stopped, no ceasefire, nothing, they just stopped and Iran is still shooting at ships in the strait of Hormuz.

Now Trump has put all his hopes on economic pressure to make Iran capitulate. This is truly remarkable. It's almost as if everyone has forgotten the Original war aims. No more talks about regime change, nuclear weapons, ballistic missile program, support for proxies. None of that. Strait of Hormuz is now the central theme of the conflict.

This war has seriously damaged the US image of invisibility. If you cannot defeat a mid-tier country like Iran and coerce them with military power, then what is there for China and Russia to be afraid of.

Stalemate? Check the level of destruction and degradation on Iran.

70% of their steel factories gone,
Almost All their petrochemical factories destroyed.

The U.S. has tightens Hormuz Naval blockade as talks stall

The U.S. military has turned 55 commercial vessels away from Iranian ports as of Sunday, up from 35 on Aug. 2.

Last week alone, 20 more ships were turned away under the naval blockade. CENTCOM also said American forces disabled 2 ships and boarded 2 for compliance.

Trump said he’s prepared to wait for economic pressure to build in Iran, stepping back from a renewed military offensive for now.


Iranian Minister said that They'll open the Strait if Trump Remove the Blockage on them. Trump Naval Blockade is "starving" the Economy of Iran.

1. The Caspian sea is full of oil selling nations, Iran would need to use their land, not sea, to get to China. Which will impose a high fee from those nations(they're competitors selling to the Same nation). That's why it's not profitable.

2. Not to talk of the numerous cost they'll pay for Triple handling.

3. After tanker cost, They'll also have to pay for extra transportation through land (which is way more expensive per barrel than tankers).

4. They'll pay sea transportation cost (normal) added to double land transportation fees.

4. We haven't even talked about Port fees and logistics fees for independent companies.

It's more expensive, get it. They'll have to pay 5 to 6 extra cost for one trip


Now how can they comfortable pay those fees when their IEA Chief announced that 80 of their oil and gas industries have been destroyed?

The US blockage has heavily affected the economy of Iran, as it disrupted their oil trade.

Iran continues to impose their own blockage of Homuz, even though the US has secured the Oman side of the Strait for the Gulf regions

Iran says it will reopen the Strait of Hormuz if the United States ends its naval blockade of the Strait and stops other U.S. actions.

"Reopening the Strait of Hormuz is conditional on the lifting of the US naval blockade,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said at a press conference.

Baghaei added that Iran and Oman have reached an understanding on a navigation plan for the Strait, with technical details of a joint statement still being discussed. He said talks are “proceeding smoothly and constructively.”

On fees, Baghaei said no charges for vessels have been discussed yet, but they would “naturally” apply when maritime services are provided.
