JAkpayen:Am I Kemi or Buhari's spokesperson? I know the CBN are initiating monetary policies. I don't know for Buhari and Kemi. They need not inform me/us of the fiscal policies they initiate/d |
erico2k2:Monetary and fiscal policies are not magical enchantments that work at the twinkle of an eye. It takes time before the impact are felt so tarry a while. |
abhosts:The Foreign Reserve has depleted immensely. The CBN had enormous reserves as at July 2015 and were selling $30,000 to over 2000 BDCs nationwide twice a week. So the black market was awash with dollar liquidity. Too much supply lowers the price ~~~ Basic economics rule. Now the Foreign Reserve is almost gone from the greatly reduced forex earned from oil because of the shocks. CBN stopped selling FX to BDCs. They now source from other avenues and sell. Demand is outweighing supply now so price has risen ~~~ Another basic economics rule. That's what happened! |
Man is a social animal that lives in a community where interpersonal interactions are unavoidable. These social interactions transcend various gamut - religious, academic, business, personal et al. When it comes love, the most personalised form of social interactions, it's unarguably the wish of everyone to experience an undiluted form of it - unconditional love. From real life experiences to works of arts such as movies and novels, the virtues of unconditional love is extolled almost to the point of pontification. However, the sad reality is that unconditional love is an illusion. The dictionary defined unconditional as "unlimited in any way. Complete and absolute". All forms of love - even the putatively purest forms such as God's love for man and a mother's love for a child - are with conditions; although the conditions admittedly vary in degree and severity. God's love for man is predicated on the condition of total obedience to God. As contained in John 3 vs 16: "For GOD SO LOVE THE WORLD, that He gave his only begotten Son. THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM should NOT PERISH but HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE"(Emphasis mine). The bible is replete with countless passages harping on the commandments and conditions that man must strictly adhere to before he can reap the rewards that stem from God. This is in stark contrast to populist Christian view that God's love is unconditional and free for all. If this were true, then Jesus needed not have died and Hell wouldn't be in existence because all men will go to heaven irrespective of their deeds on earth. A mother's love for her child, even though the closest expression of strong affection, is still not without conditions. At least, part of the gentleman agreement that underpins mother - child love is that the child loves the mother in return, obeys her, and generally be a good child. Although mothers do not go tossing their wards into waste bins when their love overtures are not requited, the tendency for a mother's love to wane or even be completely eroded in the face of constant disobedience or unrequited love is ever present. This is buttressed by countless instances where mothers have denied their children... Some going extra miles to disown their children in extreme cases. It is therefore hilarious when people in romantic and other forms of relationships talk about the "unconditionality" of their love or their partners'. The mere fact that we must love someone for a reason dismantles the very foundation of unconditional love. The feeble nature of the unconditional love viewpoint becomes more illuminated when we consider the very selfish nature of man. Nobody likes to partake in ventures where they do - at least not when they're privy to knowledge of such impending loss before commitment. Even the much vaunted love at first sight has a "point of attraction" that strikes off the initial sparks. Unconditional love is a myth. We all love for a reason. The question is: Why do we love who we love? The answer to that question nails the coffin of unconditional love. https://crystalviewsblog./2016/07/10/the-myth-of-unconditional-love/ |
He shouldn't read the bible from a phone? Because? But he can preach using a microphone instead of his voice? He can drive cars to church instead of riding an ass? He can don suits instead of wearing loins and garments? He can eat shoprite bread and apples instead of unleavened bread and fig fruits? The thought - process of some Christians beats me silly. |
She's probably trolling. |
Love na wash! Compatibility guarantees a relationship. If I were to rank, I'd say Compatibility > Finance > Friendship >>>>>>> Love |

ThaThinka:You have the time, if the means is available, get the Masters. Like you said, it could come in handy tomorrow. Nigeria is still a "certificate country". I like that you're looking at self-employment. Way to go. People in the corporate world with discerning minds are already working towards that. Cheers! |
I wish I can print this and email it to some ladies. Some puss.y stenches can cause a World War III |
ThaThinka:You necessarily do not need a Corporate experience before you can go for your Masters. The major question is WHY DO YOU WANT TO GO FOR MASTERS? To boost your CV and up your chances of clinching an offer letter? Or you aim to dabble into academics/lecturing? Your response will determine my advice. |
Non - availability of their works is the major bane of contemporary African writers. E - books like the writer suggested here is the way to go now. Hardcover books rarely cut it anymore. |
Just like them petite... |
I will become more strict with my amalar prescription as this only shows that the malaria has gotten stronger to be inducing this kind of Nollywood dreams |
Portugal buoyed by the two goals lead... Wales currently rattled. Joe Allen looks clueless some times. Sanchez pulling the strings in midfield for Portugal. Ronaldo finding the back of the net with a thumping header when it matters and an assist to cap it. Bale looking like he's asking all the attacking questions on behalf of Wales. Fonte and Collins have both been formidable in defence for their respective teams so far. Lively half... This last 45 mins. |
Ronaldo gone MIA so far. |
Whatever she decides to do, let her and the husband go for HIV/STDs test before any sexual encounter. It's obvious the guy wasn't really ready to settle down now. Shagging his wife's two friends just after 3 months after tieing the knot? Damn! |
