I do not know the precise date for the new Visa lottery, but I guess it should be before the end of this year

@akambijm, you can still reclaim your confirmation code. Yesterday, I was sent a mail from Kentucky or so. They informed me on the cancellation of the previous results and that anybody that has lost his/her confirmation number should follow a link.

There is still hope for you. Sign in to your E-mail address to retrieve your confirmation number. Some other people also received this e-mail but I do not know if it is everybody.

I wish us all the best of luck,  I did not win the previous time but I hope that by the Lord's grace, I will win this time around in the new random selection

@gendebs, Well the previous visa lottery has been cancelled and there will be a new random selection.

Kentucky notified people on their e-mails and in this mail, they included a link where one can retrieve one's confirmation number. Once you click on that link, you will see your confirmation number.

So, there is still hope for you. I did not win the last time but I hope that I win this time around

Good day, everyone, I am not sure Osama's death has anything to do with the cancellation of the previous results. I do think it could truly be as a result of COMPUTER ERROR. Let us remember that NOBODY and NOTHING is perfect. Even COMPUTERS are not perfect. So, It could truly be the computer, though I do not know how.

I really feel pity for those who HAD already won. It is TOO PAINFUL. Even the thought of them not being chosen in the new selections. I do know how it feels but please do not let your anger take control over you. There is a reason for everything in this life. Also think of the people this new selection will favor.

To tell you all the TRUTH, I still think that MAJORITY of the previous winners will be SELECTED again. Please, Do not loose hope. Possibly, the number of NIGERIANS that will be chosen MIGHT even increase. This time around, who knows? It MIGHT be more than 6000 Nigerians. Let us keep our fingers crossed. The Almighty has a reason for everything. If He  says it is your time to be in America, You will definitely be there. So, there is still hope. Please, do not loose hope. I WISH US ALL GOOD LUCK!

First and foremost, I am so happy for you. You are indeed a lucky person. I also participated in the2012 dv lottery program but unfortunately, I did not win.
I was very sad, looking at my entry status as "NOT SELECTED",  The Almighty knows best,  Now, for you,  The advice I can give you is CONTACT/MAKE A CALL/GO TO THE AMERICAN EMBASSY for inquiry. This is very important. I will confess to you that I do not know much about processing admissions abroad or processing papers abroad but I want to help with the little way that I can.

If I were on your shoes, I will take a bold step to the American Embassy. I heard it is around V/I or so,  I have never been there. Go to the reception or section where they ask questions and ask them If you can still use your visa lottery along with your already given admission? The point here is that you will not want to waste this lottery by securing a visa with your given admission, but You want to use your Given Visa lottery to travel to the States and begin ur sch which u have already been granted admission. So that you do not have to apply for a visa again COS  American Visa is so hard to get. The best thing for you to do is ask.

Be courageous. Don't wait for people to make suggestions that they are not sure of. . . I will not want you to miss this. There is no harm in asking. The earlier the better. Start moving to the Embassy and process your Visa and admission. Best of luck,  LUCKY FRIEND,  Loverencha
