My appointment date at embassy is very near amd I am not based in Abuja, I intend to get my documents legalized as soon as I get to Abuja... Can I get it done same day??

Although, I have never been to the Austrian embassy but I will be there in July. I also have an appointment at the embassy for Student visa.

As a Tourist, I think likely questions you will be asked are:

What are you going to Austria for?
How long do u plan to stay there?
Do you have an invitation letter?If not, they will demand for your hotel reservation..

It all depends if you are visiting a friend or family there.. That way it is easier cos u will just show them your invitation letter.

All the same, if u are going there just to tour around Austria, you should show evidence of financial statement..

They should ask for the evidence of financial support.

I do not know your actual situation but I will answer some of your questions with the little information I have.

Normally, you are required to pay at least a deposit of your tuition fee before applying for a visa, this way you have more chances and hope in getting a visa at the embassy..

In order for u to know the best time to apply for a visa, you should contact or visit the embassy's website. Embassies have rules and they advice applicants on when to apply for a visa and how long it takes so u are informed. So, I advice you make inquiry on this in order for you to know the right time to apply..

Sorry, I don't have an idea of good universities in Canada but I suggest u should compare the colleges/universities carefully or wait for other posters that know these universities/colleges in Canada

Well, if you are not sponsoring yourself you should ask your sponsor to show his/her bank statement to the embassy.

You have to be very careful here and specific.. If you are including your own bank statement, well it could help and could also not.. This is because embassies are very attentive, any little thing can make them deny one of a visa, even without one knowing. So, you have to be specific if you are showing your sponsor's bank statement or yours. Don't overload documents.. You can also ask the embassy this question. Contact them and feel free to ask any questions they will surely be of help to you...

If you do not know anyone, I will advice you stay in the campus but it is quite expensive to stay in the campus.. Universities/colleges make money out of this.. A whole lot of money, so off campus is less expensive and you can share with someone...

Please, I need help on the steps to take to obtain a UK Tourist visa. I am 22years old and just returned from Turkey a few weeks ago. I was given a 15-day Turkish Tourist visa, Now I want to apply for a U. k tourist visa, Well, I don't want to get my hopes up just because I already have a Turkish tourist visa as a possible guarantee to get a U.K visa, lol, The difference is clear here.

@Wunmi10, The mail was sent to me from Kentucky or something like that. The email address that sent me the mail is:
no-reply@state.gov

They only informed me about the cancellation of the previous results and that If I won or did not win the last time I checked, that result is no longer valid.

Some other people received the mail. Check your mail from time to time,  You will soon receive yours
