TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Lovesexy: 7:09am On Feb 14, 2020
Am sorry for always posting on this group, I am just desperately in need for my family to be together because I have no help, I pray I don't fall into depression regarding this paper process, Anxiety has already kicked in, I just want to be strong for my kids. I am super worried that travel ban will catch up to my husband in Nigeria, his Visa Status is still saying AP and the Consulate Officer didn't take his passport from him. NVC accepted all the documentation that I submitted online for immigrant visa. But he said that Consulate officer took some documents from him and told him that he will hear back from them within 90 days. I can't survive any longer with 3 kids by myself all alone (8 years old and 10 months old twins). It is too much for me to handle. May God help me and give me strength, to take care of my children alone. My only option now is to take the kids to Nigeria that is where all my family is because I can't anymore because I thought this journey was going to come to an end soon. But 90 days and with this travel ban God help me.

Please Officers, I wanted to ask if my husband can still go for visa, even though I have petitioned for him, which I know will still take about 6 months or so. The reason why I asked is because I just put to bed (Twins) and I have no one to help wanted to see if he can come to help me for about 4 to 6 weeks. I am doing it alone, my mom went for visa before I delivered but she was denied. I am a US citizen, I want my mother in law to try and see if they can grant her one she will be going for interviews soon, since my mom didn't get. I don't know what to do and I really need help, I just hope i don't lose my mind. Please any suggestion will be gladly appreciated.

Last year she went to Abujaand this year she went to Lagos. Is it advisable switching embassies like that.

seyewest:
You can get March in Abuja or apply for emergency citing the need to be available for his interview.

I filled out the DS 160 application for her, I am her only child. She is 54 years old. She doesn't really speak English, both times she went she needed an interpreter. If I may ask, in what space of time did your mom do hers. I really want my mom to come and help me out. I can petition for her, but it will take longer than the visa and also she doesn't want to live our dad al by himself for that long. That is why she doesn't want to stay long.

Don't stop trying, The more she tries shows some extent of desperation and her desperation will be considered.

In Life, good things don't come easy.

Her composure may give her away though, her responses to the questions asked may also play her apart from the intent on the application.
Get her to keep her mind at rest apply and smile often, look into the VO's face more.

My Mum did hers for 3 times before finally being considered, it is nothing to worry about but i wonder what could be the issue, you said you are a Citizen, so... are your younger ones or elder ones citizens too?

How old is she?

Please I wanted to ask immigration officer's in this forum, is there anything that I am doing wrong trying to invite my mother to the US. I first applied for Visa for her last year 2018 in May for my graduation, they didn't issue her. This year 2019 again (this past monday) I applied for her again and still no avail with all the necessary documents giving to her, like ultrasound, doctors note, affidavitsof support (i-130), bank statements, and verification of account and so on. She told me that the officer didn't even collect the documents from her. Even I mailed some documents to the embassy as well. I just wanted her to come for a month to help me because I am pregnant with twins and I am a US Citizen. My husband is still in Nigeria awaiting his papers. I am the only one here, the plan was if my mom comes and after her stay we will all go back to Nigeria. But I don't know what else to do, is it advisable to try and apply for visa again for her within two weeks. I really need her help. Any advise will be gladly appreciated.

Note: I filled out the DS 160 application for her, I am her only child. She is 54 years old. She doesn't really speak English, both times she went she needed an interpreter. I am the one sponsoring her trip. I know she will not be a liability to the USA government, that I know for sure I work two jobs and I make enough to take care of her expenses when she arrives. I provided all this proofs. I really want my mom to come and help me out. I can petition for her, but it will take longer than the visa and also she doesn't want to live our dad all by himself for that long. That is why she doesn't want to stay long.

Help a sister please and thank you.
