They thought we were gone. They thought their gone and bullet will silence us. They thought we would forget. But they never knew we are seeds that never die. We multiply and grow stronger and stronger. We have just concluded the midnight candlelight vigil in honour of Biafra’s heroes and heroines. Today, the 30th, IPOB worldwide will officially remember Biafra’s heroes and heroines with our usual rituals.

As long as we live, we shall never forget Biafra’s fallen heroes. We have immortalised them in our hearts, and we shall pass their legacy on to our children and our children’s children to remember every year. This memory shall linger until the end of time.

Remembering Bruce Mayrock: A Heart That Burned for Humanity

In 1969, a 20-year-old student, Bruce Mayrock, set himself ablaze outside the UN with a placard that read: “You Must Stop the Gen0cide – Please Save 9 Million Biafrans.”

He died because he could not look away from the suffering of others.

57 years later, what has changed?
Today, 39 schoolchildren and their teachers are trapped in the dungeons of terr0rists.

Across the country, innocent people are being kiĺled like flies. Life is gradually losing its worth among Nigerians.

And painfully, many of our own "heroes" ,today’s men and women of influence and power , find themselves either with actions or inactions, defending a government that has refused to defend the lives of the very people it swore to protect.

Bruce Mayrock died for a people he never met.
May his courage remind us what true humanity looks like and how far we have drifted from it.
May his name never fade.

Actually, Awolowo didn't starve anyone, he was part of the Government that allowed Caritas trucks into Biafra, trucks that were forcefully diverted into Biafran barracks to feed soldiers instead of the starving children that they were meant for.

The ones that diverted those aid trucks from their intended destinations are the ones you should blame, God will of course never forgivr them for their atrocities.

We are not here for Yorubas lies.

I remember vividly when professor akuyili was beheaded, nobody from any tribe posted it to mock anybody.

The late prof and other prominent men from the east were not even killed by bandits but by their own people.
Don't force people to resurrect those videos. Remember, you are not dealing with buhari brothers.

I placed a call to a very good friend who works with Fr. Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry to find out why they cancelled their normal every friday adoration vigil prayers. She told me in confidence that after a meeting of the ministry, they considered that the next day, being May 30th, was Biafra Heroes Sit-at-Home Day. They therefore decided to cancel the prayers for the safety of their members, many of whom would be coming from different states and locations and would need to return home on the morning of the 30th.

According to her, In honour of Biafra Heroes and Heroines Day, the ministry decided to cancel the midnight prayers so as not to pull people out of their homes.

Personally, after her explanation, I understood that their decision was the right one. I thank them, and most especially Fr. Mbaka, for taking this thoughtful decision out of respect for Biafra Heroes and Heroines Day.
