It was Ejoor that prevented Northern soldiers from invading Biafra by declaring neutrality and telling Gowon that if there will be an invasion of Biafra it won't be through the Midwest.

Gowon respected that neutrality until Biafran soldiers invaded and occupied Midwest region and declared it an independent state and propped up one Maj Okonkwo as its head of state.

Ojukwu had ordered that Ejoor be captured dead or alive (,preferably dead) but Ejoor was able to escape by the whiskers.

This was the third failed attempt at murdering Ejoor by you Ibos.

Ejoor now became a big problem for the conspirators because Ejoor knew the coup involved most Ibo officers including Ironsi and Ojukwu but there was no way to have him murdered now that it was becoming clear it was an ethnic cleansing coup to wipe off both the civilian and military hierarchy of non Ibos.

Ironsi had no choice but to appoint Ejoor as governor of Midwest but plans had been put on ground to assassinate Ejoor using misguided Ibo Midwestern officers.

Ejoor, told it as it is , that the coup was meant to put Ibos at the helms of affairs and the war was fought over the creation of Old Rivers and Old Calabar out of the Eastern region .

Ojukwu went to war over the oil wells in these two newly created states and he extended his greed to occupy Midwest over the oil in Warri.


At no time did northern troops ever invade any inch of your so-called Biafra .

It was you Ibos that drew first blood on Jan 15 and again with the forceful annexation of the liberated Minority provinces under the guise of Biafra and later the invasion and occupation of the Midwest.
