The days you set BE, price returns to your BE, the days you decide that it's either TP or SL, SL go hit, and most painfully, the days you cut your winners and took little profit market rallies to you TP and add jara sef....

On an another discipline is very crucial, like me I don't trade exotic instrument during new York session pairs like gold am better off trading them during London session cause they always maintain a trend even though it my go to your BE but it will surely continue in that trend.

Only thing I can trade during NY session is nasdaq, so everything is 50/50, 50% phycology 50% edge or technicals.

They wao me this morning. I have a small account with them that i use to test some strategies, i was just like 5% above daily drawdown limit this morning after loosing some percentages overtime. I was closed out from a winning trades of 60pips on dax when i was trading for a recovery only for me to receive a message that i have violated their daily drawdown limit. Running 2r+ on gold

After the run down on gold to 2324 waited for a run up back sold at the top.

Reason why; DXY was above 50 on RSI indicating a bull trend when we were entering London session, even though Gold was above 50 on the 30 min timeframe, the bull trend of gold wasn't strong cause DXY didn't form a lower low on the 1 hour timeframe and we were approaching London session and they was no sign of reversal.

Without evidence you go explain tire. Send screenshot make I send you 20k, you dey explain. It seems you don't know the meaning of RR. RR is calculated by the value of your stoploss in relation to your TP.

The entry I posted around 7am today with a 30pips SL wouldn't even do a 1:5rr today. So how is it possible that you that entered way later after I had posted when price already moved 30pips further upside had a 1:5rr?

This was the entry I posted @7am in the morning, if I let it run throughout, the highest it went was a 1:4rr.

Yes you entered before me I entered around 2324, and also existed by 2336 in which gold actually reached, so do the calculation on your calculator, I can't upload pictures here on nairaland.

But one thing is that I don't mislead people, I get into position at critical level and if you would have held that trade a little while you would know am not lieing.

If you want to confirm that I lie about my trades I can add you up on WhatsApp cause I post my trades from when i entered to my exist, see it took me time to perfect trading gold, I only trade gold on red news day only in the morning, so am not misleading anyone here I remember when you told me to post my entries and you saw what I posted and it went well.

You see it took me over half a year to perfect my gold strategy cause it's an exotic instrument, went through months of historical data, so if you want to keep slandering me you can continue.

As much as I like the daily timeframe for gold, I also wanted to day trade but never seemed to find the strategy that worked for me. Last week, I saw a gold day trading strategy and decided to backtest and tweak it. I backtested for the last 3 months:

April: 4 trades
May: 3 trades
June: 5 trades
Total of 12 trades with the target of 1000 pips (100 pips for currency traders) each, the rrr is either 1:2 or 1:3 depending on the trade.

Started forwardtesting today and this was my result for this morning. Will continue to work on it. My daily timeframe analysis still remains.

I guess this was during London session took same trade did 5rr on it, never tried swing trade before but prefer day trading, my winners last for hours.

Just don't trade during news best trade during London session New York isn't stable.

But I believe it leans more on the sell side than the buy side in the short term. The buy I called was just a quick scalp when price was resting from selling, and decided to buy to gather liquidity to the upside before doing more sells, it has started selling again as we speak.

The overall 30mins trend is facing downward, so buying is not really a good idea in my opinion unless you just wanna take a quick counter trend trade like I called above.
Collect your 60pips move and wait if there would be another signal for another retracement is all I do.

It was really a good trade but a very hard one.

I don't treat trading as something that starts and ends in a day.
My aim is being profitable at the end of the week or at least in two weeks. If going break even is what I achieve, definitely I will still make it up. I traded CHFJPY buy and took profit and sold same and took profit because I did 1:1. If I had aimed for 1:2. I would still be hovering around with the trade.

I can say 1r is easy to get aiming 1r isn't stable at all at least a 1.5.

If you are a commodity trader like gold and silver you would know on a Red day during London session 2r up is easy to get

Yes, trend trading in London season is good , I prefer Dax when German market opens, it is always smooth ride many times especially after the first 30mins.

When I noticed that was when trading oil, and usually gets 1.5r then noticed silver gives high RR so used the method especially on volatile days aim 3 to 6r sometime 10r on red day's or after one.

one of the easiest strategies to make money in fx, and do RR 1:3 or 4 is to jump into spotting this type of simple set-up whenever you see it:
SIMPLE ENGULFING REVERSAL/BREAKOUT PATTERN in the areas of SR especially indicators that come with alert.
Despite the fact that i have known this for years, and it comes every day in any setups even in multiple folds, gold, index, fx, watever, we always neglect it. This is one of the AA set-ups that a friend that is 7 figures funding and more than 200k payouts repeated to me in recent times. He said just KISS and it will come to you. Most times you cant be wrong.

As for me it even hard, finding reversal I don't chase reversals, I'm simply a trend follower, simplest will be look at silver it gives you higher RR two Three candle stick is ok since I have made 20r before, you can even get 30r if you are lucky cause I have gotten 20r on two trades

So you find a trend before London session, then enter it, first confirm the trend of DXY really important especially on a Red News day but before the news on silver target 2r or even 3r but 2r is the best am telling you just try it, small move from your entry has given you 2r, but identify the trend before London session backtest it and come back.
