This morning a hero left us and as painful as it is I thank God for a life well spent. This goes to a Man who stood up for what he believes in and in turn made us believe colour doesn't matter, its the thoughts that count. Sun re Mandela a tun pade. I heard that an angel had gone back home I smiled God misses him I said But that smile soon turned upside down It was who? No! I screamed It can't be true So I investigated And as I got closer to the truth My heart sunk further It is true A great Leader is no more I never got to met you But your good works precede thee I seek for words to describe you I found billions Alas I was at a loss I can't chose, you deserve them all My generation weep A light is gone Weep for the light left is dim The Lord who gave him to us Has taken him back We know we shall met again Our joy is assured in that Till we met enjoy life with our Maker May the Lord comfort us his children. An angel has gone home. 1 Like |

emeka94: Forgive? More like continue,am glad to hear you say that thought I was only one of the few weird ones here. Its a Nigerian thing, watch as the next generation do their thing. I can't stop laughing,Art is one of best and you are happier now but curious to know: Is it a part time course? Dont understand how you could combine those two courses together. Except its what am thinking, its better I let you explain before I let my imagination fly as usual. |

It was never meant to end this way Last night was a disaster But it had to happen I look back into time Into space Into you And I found nothing Nothing worthy Of this persistent emotion That blocks my voice And opened the Flood gates Ask me Tell me The words I have been waiting for The words so meaningless Yet people cave to hear it I laugh without the actual joy I smile and you fell Tragedy! Stay far away so you may know no pain The pain that have rob me the joy Of enjoying a simple laugh. Yet I still say Stay. 1 Like |

emeka94: I really don't understand why people like james hardley chase. Seriously! D first novel I read was fatima that was in nursery school, I think Nur3. Then I read little Red hen but I found it boring bc it was simple and easily predictable- although I still read when am bored or can't find any other book to read. I spent almost two weeks trying to finish A journey to The centre of The world by Jules verne. I can't remember which one I read first btw Wale the city boy, drummer boy, chike and the river, Eze goes to school etc. Then I underwent a VC Andrew's phase, although I couldn't understand most of what she said but I plodded on with relish. It was through Vc Andrew that I developed a deep sense of empathy. When I was in primary four my teacher Aunty comfort reported to my mom that I like reading adult book that's inimical to my young brain. But I couldn't be stopped. Currently I have more book than I can remember. My favs are mario puzo- he really can tell a story with fluidity. John grisham- his story moves smoothly and he uses basic language. And Danielle steele cos she evokes beauty. It happens, you will find a way round it,when I was first given Hamlet to read in school I was like what! Then she made us read it like it was the national pledge. Thankfully now I can say its one of my fave Shakespeare's novels. Same for as you like it and Merchant of Venice. I have also been through it o and believe me it is not easy and yes I agree with you age mates bore me too. I have older friends instead,am also the youngest in the Xliq but I enjoy it. We are on the same lane, I also want to be a columnist and an authoress *smiling* My formula for that is to agrue within myself that the book is better than the one I want to read ,That they couldn't have recommend it if it wasn't and the only way to be sure is to read it. Believe me it works As for notes, the fear of falling behind in my grades is the being of reading them, especially if you live with a perfectionist or have them as friends. Good luck in finding a working formula. |
