Shortly after MTN launched the eSim technology on their network, 9mobile decided to follow suit by unveiling theirs and this time; they're offering free 7GB data to customers who activate eSim technology.

The launch was announced during a press release, describing the concept as a software-based digital chip that comes along with a device directly embedded by the manufacturer. “eSIM replaces the traditional physical plastic SIM card for compatible devices and brings a whole new spectrum of benefits and possibilities” the statement said.
