Written by Raji Lukman. Boko Haram obstructs the past administration with their devilish agenda "Western Education is a Sin". They kill so many people in the North Eastern part of the country by killing their brothers in Islam and Christians, they abduct men and women, young and old. In this process, young school girls are forced into sex slaves, they engaged some into marriage while some are being used as shield by making them a suicide bomber. They damaged properties worth millions of naira, countless lives were lost. Churches, Mosque, Police Stations, Government Offices and Houses were burnt in which it had rendered thousands of people homeless while many are dying of hunger in the IDP centres. Some able youths abducted are recruited into their group and were trained to be a killer and a professional terrorist. It is quite confusing how this terrorist gets the sophisticated weapons they use in carrying out their devilish activities. We all believe they have strong backings in the Politics and god fathers in the Oil Sector. The havoc does not just happened in Nigeria here alone but, also occurs in neighbouring countries such as Niger, Republic of Benin and Chad. These killings and abduction of school girls attracts international audience and went viral globally but it doesn't affect or decrease our GDP as at then. Instead, the price of crude oil increases to a higher height. The past administration in his best did all he can to fight terrorism in the country but no good result. Fast forward to this present administration, we are all shouting change, change, change. I could remember how I and my elder brother suffered under the shinning sun to vote for the man of our choice with the hope that miracle will surface in short time and everything will be change to good as they campaigned. Immediately the new administration was sworn-in, we all see a slight change especially, in the power sector whereby we enjoy light for at least 20 hours daily. Right now, another group had taken over, the "Niger Delta Avengers” from the oil rich region, Niger Delta. It is believe that this group is more deadly than the Boko Haram from the North Eastern part of the country. They embark on bombing the national assets of this great country installed in the Niger Delta region including some states in the east as soon as the new administration took over power. Nevertheless, their aim is to cripple the Nigerian Economy to zero until the Federal Government grants their wish. They vow not to stop as they continue to bomb major oil installations in their region. Unfortunately, they are not only bombing or trying cripple the economy, they are polluting their farm land and water in which a common man cannot go out there to fish in the river, and farmers cannot cultivate their farm land and harvest their crops. The whole environment is jeopardized. Yet, they keep on bombing. We all know that the only source of income that drives more revenue to the Federation Account of this country is from the crude oil export. The more we earn, the more the government will be able to create jobs and put more infrastructure facilities in place. These will boost the economic development and growth of our nation. Right now, the case is reverse, our production has decreased drastically, and the price of crude oil has dropped vastly. Our National Reserve has declined while our debt is fast-tracking. All these occurs due to the havoc that's being done by the Militants. However, the present administration has recorded a clear success in the fight against terrorism in the North East part of the country whereby the so called "Boko Haram" that is using the Religion of Peace (Islam) as a cover to carry out atrocities. It is quite clear that the Insurgent is now reduced to its minimum within just a year of the present administration took over power while the last administration spent years to fight them. So many suggestions about the way forward to end the “Niger Delta Avengers” menace have filled the sky and one of it is that the Federal Government should seat down one-on-one with the Militants and dialogue instead of using force or waging war against them just like the Boko Haram in the North East were dealt with. In view of this, the Federal Government has made the table available for the Militants to come forward and dialogue with her and settle the disagreement once and for all. Unfortunately, the Militants turns deaf ear to the peaceful talk and insist on bombing the oil installations on a daily basis with the aim of crippling the Nigerian Economy to Zero and also disrupt the present administration tenure until they achieve their goal. There's a proverb that says and I quote "the patient dog eats the fattest bone", should this present administration patiently wait for the Militants to come forward for peaceful talk while they keep bombing the oil installations and reducing the economy to zero or should the government use force and wage war against the them just like he did to the terrorist in the North Eastern Part of the country? #who_say_no_government
