PoliticsNigeriasubsidy: A Conceptual Platform For Transparent Subsidy Distribution by luksyb(op): 8:50pm On Aug 31, 2025
Hello Nairalanders,

Earlier this year, I worked on a conceptual project called NigeriaSubsidy 👉 https://ngsubsidy.

The idea was to imagine how subsidies in Nigeria could be:

Transparent – no middlemen, real-time tracking

Accessible – Web, Mobile App, SMS & USSD support

Inclusive – available to citizens across all 36 states

Multi-sectoral – covering fuel, food security, agriculture, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment

Highlights of the Concept:

⛽ Fuel Subsidy – up to ₦15,000 monthly support, 50% digital vouchers.
🍚 Food Security – ₦25,000 family food packages (pickup/delivery).
🌾 Agriculture – 70% subsidy on fertilizer, seeds & equipment, ₦50K–₦200K packages.
📚 Education Support – ₦30K–₦100K tuition & digital learning grants.
🏥 Healthcare – ₦20K annual cover, free consultations & insurance (launching concept Feb 2025).
💡 Youth Empowerment – ₦100K–₦500K startup support + vocational training.

This is still a conceptual project (not a government platform), but it raises an important question:

👉 Can Nigeria use tech + transparency to manage subsidies better and ensure they truly reach the people?

I’d love to hear your thoughts, critiques, and suggestions from the Nairaland community.
AutosShooting CNG Powered Car by luksyb(op):
Based on available information, shooting a CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) powered car’s fuel tank with a gun is unlikely to cause an immediate explosion. Here’s why:

CNG fuel tank design:
Modern CNG fuel tanks are designed with safety features to prevent accidental ignition or explosion. They typically have multiple compartments, rupture discs, and pressure relief valves to release excess pressure in case of a breach.

Non-flammable properties:
Natural gas, the fuel used in CNG vehicles, is not as flammable as gasoline or diesel. It requires a specific mixture of air and gas to ignite, making it less prone to spontaneous combustion.

Bullet penetration:
Depending on the type of gun and ammunition used, a bullet may not penetrate the CNG fuel tank’s outer shell or inner compartments. Even if it does, the tank’s design and materials are intended to prevent ignition or explosion.

Possible outcomes:
The fuel tank may leak CNG, which could potentially accumulate and create a hazard.
The tank’s pressure relief valve might activate, releasing excess pressure and potentially causing a hissing sound or minor damage.
In rare cases, if the bullet creates a spark or ignites a small amount of gas, a small fire or smoldering may occur. However, this would likely be contained within the tank or nearby area.

Important note:
While the risk of explosion is low, it’s still crucial to prioritize safety and avoid shooting at CNG powered cars or any vehicles for that matter. The consequences of such actions can be severe and potentially harmful to people and property.

Keep in mind that this analysis is based on general information and might not account for specific circumstances or variations in CNG fuel tank design or construction.
EducationI Now Fully Support The Uk As To Why Nigerians Should Write English Test by luksyb(op): 11:09am On Oct 06, 2023
Even though we were colonised by the British and our official language is English, our level of understanding of the English language is somehow low.

I come in peace. What's your opinion?
