tackle your brother's poor performance and not the university's standard.

You can be an average student in Nigeria, but you will get admission abroad as long as you can afford the schooling.

This UI issue is very sensitive for you obviously.

every school has standard. Some schools will accept scores of 180 in JAMB, some others if you don't have at least 250, don't waste your time.

For these 56,000 that chose UI, maybe only 2,000 chose BUK or 1,000 chose UDU....there will be a higher percentage of entrants from those schools. A lot of Nigerian students punch above their weight in these things.

And reading hard does not guarantee passing exams. It is one thing to read, it is another thing to understand what you read, it is another thing to understand the questions in exams and it is another to answer it satisfactorily. So, no, not everyone who reads hard is good enough to enter UI

No harm in trying tho, but students should note their standard and go for schools they could easily gain admission

A lot of people ignore less popular schools for the popular ones because of some allure. This is what they get when they want "school wey get name", just wasting their own time
