Sunnybobo3: Where in the article did she ask Buhari to do something about them and when in the last 4 years and 9 months (not 6 years as ignorant people say) that she's been part of this govt has the fuel situation even this bad? I wonder the kind of Arithmetic ( act of adding figures) that some fellows did in school that made May 6 2010 - May 4 2015 add up to 6 years and not 5 years. |
Politics › Re: Is The Abolition Of Fuel Subsidy Imminent? by luvinhubby(m): 9:09am On May 04, 2015 |
Balyz: the subsidy is here to stay until we achieve self sufficiency in refining crude products for our local consumption. Any attempt to remove it will make the events of january 2012 look like child's play. Your views are those of the minority. You cannot impose them on we the majority They are my views & very proud of it and am not forcing it down anyone's throat. Has it not occurred to you that the same subsidy cabal are still the ones with the capacity to meet local refining consumption demands & have refused to do so, even frustrating moves to do so all because of the lazy profits of subsidy on refined imported fuel. |

Balyz: Subsidy must stay until Nigeria's capacity to refine petroleum products for her internal consumption are met. Buhari recognizes this fact And how do you intend to meet that consumption demand?. Build refinenaries! Who can do that? - private sector! How can they come & do so? - When the price is right based on the forces of demand & supply! What is stopping them? - Govt subsidies that is making lazy fuel importers stupendeously rich! Way out? -- KILL SUBSIDY & FREE THE MARKET. We cannot let the fear of blood & pains of a surgical knife allow cancer to kill. |
Politics › Re: Is The Abolition Of Fuel Subsidy Imminent? by luvinhubby(m): 8:35am On May 04, 2015 |
I will go with the ex CBN governor, SLS, on this subsidy of the a thing, the system is excessively corrupt that eliminating corruption & fraud in the downstream sector of our petroleum industry is a practical IMPOSSIBILITY, same with ending oil bunkering. Govt is only subsidising corruption & not petrol or kerosene and the ONLY way out of it is by totally removing the subsidy & i agree with him now.
I owe GEJ an apology for actively participating & mobilising to do so in the Jan. 2012 subsidy protests, because from every indication now, we encouraged & supported the cabal called 'oil marketers' (both major & independent) to hold this nation at ransome that they are doing today. SUBSIDY SHOULD GO !! |

knightfemi: Rowland, my 2005 Honda Pilot came up with A/T temp today and the gear selector wouldn't engage. I had to turn off the engine at different intervals for the gear selector to re-engage. What could be the cause? Just purchased it so I can't say for sure if the wrong AT fluid was used. Please advice. The indicator is for high temperature level of your ATF. Is the vehicle temperature level abnormal?(rises above half mark on indicator) as that may cause the fluid in the gear to over heat & malfunction. If the D light is not blinking, then the ATF level & condition is a prime suspect. |

MalcoImX: Is it possible walk from Lagos to Abuja on the number of days he claimed? And, is noblezone's experiment standard enough to discredit what was put forward by the Trekker? If you can call for volunteers and reach Abuja in double the time that the fellow claimed, then you too have done what he did – only that you're not the first. Nobody is talking of trekking to abuja, just to verify that you can TREK a distance of 121k in 13hrs, that is all. |
Politics › Re: Challenging "The Traveler": My Walk Experience! I Hereby Stake N100,000.00 by luvinhubby(m): 10:02am On May 02, 2015 |
MalcoImX: 130 kilometers by Google Walk is 27 hours. But know that this is the average speed. It's difficult but not entirely impossible. 1. I researched and found out that some authorities claim you can reach a speed of 6 to 8 hours per hour, which reduces the distance to about 16 hours. 2. Also some authorities say you can reach a speed of 14 hours per hour if you fastwalk or racewalk. Here, your 130 kilometers can be covered in just about 9 hours.
My conclusion is, it's difficult to achieve the feat going by the average speed, but average is just a mean. You can add or subtract depending on other factors. If other authorities are claiming up to 8 hours, then know that few people can reach 10 – 12 kilometers per hour. I think they call it "outliers" in statistics. This group usually has their performance masked by the mass. Let us leave scientific analyses posted on net alone & face realities. Can you go out on a walk for 1hr with a timing instrument (smart phone comes handy) & messure how many km/hr you can cover at what rate & come here & tell us. Thanks in advance. |

All the voters that were registered in rivers voted during the election and this doesn't surprise u? Pdp recorded near 100% in the ss and se when the average turn-out nation-wide was around 50% and you are complaining? Did you result that was cooked frm rivers and delta? Do u know that elections were cancelled in apc st ronghold in edo and nassarawa and this action gave pdp the edge in those states? Gej got over 200k in kano, while buhari couldn't boast of 200k from the entire ss & se. We should by crying of being robbed( though God gave us the victory), and not you guys. God bless our troop! A lot of things is wrong with this nation that needs to be addressed, most importantly is the issue of states like Osun that depend 100% on federal allocations for survival. We need restructuring to address some of these, states that cannot sustain itself internally should be collapsed and merged with others instead of keeping a workforce & political liabilities that depends on Abuja 'hand-outs' for existence & relevance. |

We hated APC and all it brought and voted out Ngige because we want to make sure that Buhari fails and it has backfired big time on us. But the funny thing is that many of us are yet to realize that Buhari has won and that's why you see some claiming that they don't need the government influence to survive. Obiano was cautioned by some people for visiting Buhari and I ask, is this our fate till at least four years to come. We will be the first to cry neglected and whoever that extends his hand beyond our wall is labeled saboteur. @seun @lalasticlala Please we should try to place a limit to some of the things people post on nairaland. NNPC is a corporate organisation that has not been found guilty of any misdoing by any court of competent jurisdiction. Posting pictures of it's employees that are employed to do jobs they are doing for the company in the name of missing $20billion is inciting & an assault on their persons. These people are mothers, fathers & relatives to other Nigerians & nobody has said they have done anything wrong personally, so why this?
