It started out as an idea on the 20th of November 2014 and here we are on the 13th of December launching the first edition of this event.
Did I just hear somebody echo out what they say about ideas? Yeah, that's right - "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can be achieve" - Napoleon Hill.

Welcome to the first round of Nairaland Couples' Competition 2014.


Without further ado, I present to you Contestants the proceedings for Round One:

➜ This round is solely a Question & Answer Segment ranging from How well you know your spouse to How well you know Nairaland.

Here, we have with us Questions numbered 1 - 40 from where each Contestant (A - G) will take turns picking a number to questions they will be asked to respond to.
Simply put, Contestant A will be asked to pick a number from 1-40, from number picked, their question will be posted on the thread for them to answer.

➜ Once the question is posted, BOTH spouse and NOT one of them are expected to post in their answers on the thread and within same timing.
Point to note here, where we have just a spouse answering after the time elapsed, the couple will be awarded zero mark and where it won't be necessary for both spouse to post in their answers, they will be told so.

➜ For easy posting, Answer format should be,

For eg, your Question reads - 'What is the height of your partner and yours as well?

Your answer will be written thus:

My partner: 5ft8
Me: 6ft

➜ This round will go in 4 stages with each Couple answering 4 questions in totality.

➜ Correct answers will be awarded 10 points and close to correct answers, 5 points.


Timing:

➜Each Contestant has 60 seconds from AFTER the question is posted to post in their answers on the thread. Hence, all Couples should please avail themselves in areas with full network coverage as no excuse will be welcomed.


➜ For bonus questions like, 'What is the username of your spouse?', the timing will be changed to 30 seconds.

➜ Timing begins AFTER the question has been posted and ends when the Time Keeper post 'STOP' on the thread, all couples needs to be on alert.

There will be no elimination in this round. All contestants will proceed to the next and final round of the contest.
