Danny and cersei are different. Cersei has the issue of entiltlement while danny has to fight for what she wants. Danny is reasonable while cersei isn't . Cersei demands complete subservience while.Danny demands loyalty
True but I wasn't referring to all that, I was talking about how they each take on their world's - like nothing could befall them.

We all know how it would end though.

A song of ice and fire.

Danny ... fire of the dragons

Jon snow .. ice of the north.

Interestingly I wonder if Jon snows frozen seed can fertilize dannys hot eggs for a heir.

I look beyond the now.
Yeah

Looking forward to their first meet.

As far as i know you wait for someone you are aware is coming.

I dont know how Jon was to wait for more men he didnt know existed
Exactly, so why blame her when the men finally pulled through?

She herself wasn't even certain of their coming hence her silence on the matter.

So I don't get what the hate rant is for, even after she saved their arses.

To Danny haters. The principle of her taking over the entire dothraki horde was simple. She killed all the khals in one blow and walked out of fire unhurt.

They look at her as divine a goddess not an ordinary woman. Do you honestly think the dothraki would follow a woman leader under normal circumstances.

That being said the only reason I am on her side is becaue of the man who drinks and knows everything and the bald unregistered unsullied.

Those are my peeps
Am also indifferent about her but still, I love the fact that she's got a huge army.

She started from no one to thousands? I give her that.

Plus her aura, I like that about her too. Cersei used to have that as well - the not giving a fvck persona

what nonsense. Ppl keep raising this same trash over and over again. LF sold her to the Boltons. Contacting him was just an act of desperation. A case of try your luck. If she had told jon abt her plan and then the vale ppl didnt show again nko ?
I tire o

What's with these hate rants? She would have blown her trumpets when she wasn't even sure of littlefinger? Like she didn't tell Jon to hold on and he listened not like her opinion didn't matter.

Guys just getting all emotional, SMH!

All sponsored by Nairaland
This is what they are paying the contestants for their beauty pageant.
No wonder Nigeria is not moving forward.
A big thanks to Luxane, Fynestboi, Jarus, Dominique, Jaybee3, Ymodulus and Ifyalways for appreciating intelligence and promoting the sagacity of Nigerian students.
Just a pity that Seun appreciate beauty pageant more than intellectualism.

It's a sad one really. On reading that, I couldn't help but wonder why Mr. Seun didn't do likewise for the debate.

Yay! Finally we got winterfell *where is the dancing emoticon when you need one? cheesy

And he ran, the bastard frigging ran, lmao. I kept replaying that scene to my utter delight. Ramsay the coward, he will def be missed tho.

And that moment where Jon bragged about making ramsay angry on his one on one battle offer only to be made furious on seeing rickon killed right in front of him, heee. On seeing that rope with ramsay, I immediately knew he was going to kill rickon right in front of Jon, dude has always been predictably insane. Sansa was right about that.

@Gj22, was your prediction on the cliffhanger episode on point ? 'cus I recall reading something on that from you.

GOODNESS GRACIOUS! Episode 4 of season 6 is the best episode of GOT I have seen in a LONG time!
Seriously? undecided

I recorded this and saved it to see later, cos of a busy Sunday. Boy am I glad I didhuh

Some of my best moments that got me shrieking like a banshee:
(a) Jon Snow meeting Sansa
(b) Tyrion Lannister's management of the crises and suggestion of a peace truce
(c) Theon Grayjoy reuniting with his sister
(d) Daenerys Targaryen's EPIC coda finis

The only thing I wanted to see and didn't was some more news about Arya's progress in enlightenment. Can hardly wait for the next episode. This is LIT like the fire that consumed the Khal and his Khalasar. Lol
At a, b, c, I concur but d? I wasn't the least thrilled.

"Book of the stranger" . More like "The Reunion" to me.

And inasmuch I dislike the ramsay character (what the directors wants), he sure knows how to spice GOT up anytime, I give him that...i don't expect anything lesser even his letter wasn't.

"a wise man once said"

Haha. Still Team Tyrion anyday...

And brienne of tarth. I love that convo and that of Ser davos and melisandre as well.

I did enjoy the episode.

My suggestion

Scores and figures alone from the judges doesn't cut it anymore.

It promotes doubt, assumptions and controversies
The judges should back up the results with comments
It'll show that the results aren't mere sentiments but logical assertions

When a person is awarded low marks, the judges should comment on why the score is low and where the contestant got it wrong

And when a person is awarded high marks, likewise should be done.

It'll by far decrease the lack of trust of the audience in the judges.

OKAY,

Before I go head on into the topic of this thread, I want to first acknowledge everyone that took part, albeit painstakingly in this competition from the essay submission stage down to the finals.

To Mr. Seun, we say thank you for the opportunity given us to do this.

To our judges, we love you all, thank you for your time, resources and commitments all the way.
Hidentity, Obinoscopy, Jarus, Uj sizzle, Caracta, Ishilove, KingTom, Herexg, Xynerize, Adeaks, Larrysun, Isacolukay, Rocktation, Crazyman, Joseph1832, Ask4bigneyo, Tonyebarcanista, FreemanDave, Naijadeyhia.

To our coordinators, your time and resources are also well appreciated, thank you.
Fattybabakay, Tosyn2much, Dygeasy, Scentmarlc, Aminat508, Naijaboiy, Miscallenous, Honeydear.

And to our sponsors, words are never enough to appreciate you all, but we say thank you nonetheless.
Ymodulus, Ifyalways, Jarus, Jaybee3, Amiloaded.com, Dominique

And finally to our estemeed debaters, there is no you without us. If only we could make you all winners, we wouldn't hesitate, but since this is a competition, a winner must emerge, regardless, we still celebrate you all. I mean, all essays from the submission thread to the finals were hits back to back.
Thank you for your time, energy, commitments and resources.
And I will want to appeal that no grudges be held against any fellow debater, the judges or the organizers.

And if there was any way we have erred in serving you during the course of this competition, do accept our heartfelt apologies.

Your suggestions anytime are most welcome, and as some of you are about to become graduands, NISD doors are always open for you to come in and be a part of.

Yes!

The Fourth edition promises to be more exciting than the previous, hence, if you belong to any tertiary institution and you are interested in repping your school, now is the time to indicate interest and build up your team.

Note.

Only undergraduates are allowed to participate.

Lapses.

I will be lying if I said there was none encountered. After each stage of the competition, we had lot of criticisms and suggestions expressed, and now that the competition is done and over with, we intend to sit and deliberate on each of them in order to come out with the best and fair way to serve you.

However, one thing I will not fail to mention is the fact that we gave our best in this
competition. And the judges picked out, they are all tested and trusted - and were never in any way biased while discharging their responsibilities (if in doubt, feel free to go through their respective profile on here and judge their e-persona). Also, none of them, I reiterate, none of them was ever slotted to judge their alma mater, no not one of them, hence, we are using this medium to apologize personally to any judge who felt offended by negative comments written about him/her during the competition.

This piece will not however be complete if we fail to also talk about one of our judges who passed on, by name, Freemanan or FreemanDave as he was fondly referred to on here, rest on dear friend, we are glad we got to know you, your capabilities and what you represent before your demise, your heartfelt impact towards NISD will be forever remembered.

You will surely be missed...

Adios Friend, till we meet to part no more.

Who said this?

Me.

Just now.
adexsimply:
They think you're some kind of god. a man who returned from the dead
I'm not a god
I know that. I saw your pecker. What kind of god will have a pecker that small?
I also enjoyed the convo between the three-eyed raven and bran stark.

Lord umber and Ramsay as well.

But am yet to understand why bran needs to go back into a past, one he wasn't part of, what's the motive? And isn't it about time he flies or that speech wasn't meant to be taken literally? I just hate to see him crippled.

Arya stark! I also can't wait to watch her play out, gonna be an interesting one

And Daenerys among the Dosh khaleen was like cercei right there or maybe they've àlways been that way, alike - strong and assertive until they get broken down.

If only olly had said something, with that look, dude was still bull beaded as ever, Jon loved him.
