The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has lifted ban on students’ unionism at the Nsukka Campus of the University after nearly three years it was suspended as a result of students violent agitation. Elections have therefore been scheduled to hold into various offices of the Students’ Union Government.

A breakdown of the election time table and guideline signed by the secretary of the University of Nigeria, Electoral Commission, (UNECO) Barrister Innocent Amuzie, indicated that the first phase of the election will be held in different halls of residence, where students are expected to elect their Hall Governors, Deputy Governors, Secretaries, welfare officers, financial secretaries and hall games captains.
According to the time table, collection of nomination papers for the available positions will start on the 27th of November, 2012; names of cleared candidates will be published on the 4th of December, followed by the electioneering campaign and the election on the 5th and 6th of December respectively. Elected officers are billed to be sworn-in on the 12th of December after all appeals and complaints had been treated.

Further, the guideline for the election stated that only candidates with at least cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 in the session immediately preceding the election would be considered while all candidates for the election are expected to submit original copy of an affidavit of non-membership of cult groups.

The second phase of the election, according to the release, would involve elections into the senate, House of Representatives and the Executive Council of the Students’ Union Government. However, the circular indicated that the detailed time table for these elections would be announced in due course.

The Payment Rates (Transcript Processing + Shipping) are as follows;

Local Transcript Delivery (within Nigeria) – 15,000 NGN
International Transcript Delivery (Outside Nigeria) – 35,000 NGN

How To Pay:

The beauty of the UNN iTranscricpt is that everything is done electronically. No need to rush to banks for the payment, payments can be made with any of a Master card, a Visa card or the regular ATM Verve card as long as the card has been enabled for web transactions by the issuer bank.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Visit the University of Nigeria online portal (portal.unn.edu.ng), log in your Registration Number to generate and download a unique Payment Invoice for Application Processing Fee. Take the invoice to any branch of First Bank, Diamond Bank or any other bank on the e-tranzact platform to pay Five thousand naira (N5,000) Processing Fee. Ensure that the Invoice Number is keyed in appropriately at the bank and get a Confirmation Slip containing a Confirmation Number and your Invoice Number.

2. Visit the University of Nigeria online portal (portal.unn.edu.ng) again and login your Registration number, the Confirmation and Invoice numbers, and then complete the application Form online.

Odunnu: University of Nigeria is 'naturally ahead' of every other. Making it a 2nd choice is limiting your chances. They wont give it to you. The most they can do and that is if you are related to Goodluck J. is give you a course like Music or religious studies or culture or gardening, lol. and the very next opportunity they have at screening, screen you out for one useless reason

You only need to put more effort in your post ume, a little above your JAMB score is fair. But, wouldn't it be nice if you scored 300 in your post ume?

@lizzy; Last year, the University of Nigeria invited both first choice and second choice candidates for the post utme. But the School is yet to make any statement as regards this year's post utme. So I suggest you continue to work & prepare very well for the Post utme, praying that the school will still invite second choice candidates as was the case last year.
By the way, no amount of knowledge is a waste, so preparing for an exam shouldn't be a waste of time.
And there is no form sales yet.

I always tell students that ask your type of question to stop judging themselves. Of what benefit will it be if I tell you; yes you will surely get pharmacy with that score? May be you would just go to sleep and forget your forthcoming exam.
Now what if said you can never get pharmacy with that score, does that really add anything positive to you?
