You guys should stop being sore losers.

What is all this negativity about. It's draining and killing.

Support the boys as they step out. That's the minimum you can do. Rather than spewing venoms

South Africa have played really well. No doubt about that. They came third at AFCON while Nigeria came second. The consistency and growth in their national team is obvious for all neutral to observe.

Sadly, Nigeria is in a precarious situation, we missed out of the last world cup to an African rival. Missing out of another world cup to our anglophone rival again is a hard pill to swallow.

Football isn't just a sport for us, it is a lifestyle, it is an escape from the struggles of our society. It is our little hope and joy. We may not have played well from the beginning of this qualifiers, but we know what we have to do right at the end. We are more than capable of grabbing the maximum 12 points in our remaining fixtures.

That's what defines us, that's what defines the Nigerian spirit. The Nigerian mentality. We are a people of struggle and we know how to crack the egg from the inside when it matters most. This is the Nigerian spirit. We'd never give up.

But now, it will be a game of politics and law. We in our character and element will not let go of South Africa's foul play that allowed for a suspended player to participate in a game where he should be on suspension.

It's the law, not bullying. We can't bully south Africa, they are not Lesotho or Swaziland for us to bully. They are an economic giant of Africa. But it is rather unfortunate that the law is supreme. We have equally been on the receiving end of the law. So at the end of the day should Nigeria finish with the maximum points it is only right that South Africa loses their 3 points .

I wish the south African side success, I know they are a good side. Well funded and on the right trajectory. But this world cup is not for them.

They shouldn't have waited that long to deduct Nigeria's point after our last game against Algeria since they sent us a mail that shehu couldn't play and we played him , they could have instantly on the pitch or after the match annulled our points. Rather they waited till a fortnight before the world cup draws to announce our point deduction.
JohnBullMySon:
That’s not how FIFA rules are applied. For example FIFA rules are very clear on what constitutes a goal. But when the referee makes an error, does the goal get cancelled afterwards ? Even when it is technically not a goal. Today we have VAR to assist the referee but if he doesn’t change his mind, nothing will happen.

Usually, when an error has been determined to be from officiating, the result will stand regardless of what any rule states.

Christantus Uche to Crystal Palace 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Tolu Arokodare to Wolves 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Samuel Chukwueze to Fulham 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Osimhen may not have gone to the EPL but he gets to play at a top side where he is fully appreciated and mega valued.

Uche's move is the one that actually makes me go gaga. What a move!!! Under Glasner, I expect more improvement tactically. He is EPL-suited and will hopefully be a fine and physically stronger replacement for Eze at Palace.

Welcome to the EPL, Uche. Yaya-regen.
Interesting take. I take a more conservative approach to his move. If really the player was thinking of staying back in getafa for one more season. Shouldn't that mean that he thought of himself as not ready for the journey. Or was it just a smart move of loyalty to Getafa who made the decision to sell him due to financial constraints

Great move!
I really want to see how he interprets the game in England. I know he is a power player.
He has his style which is quite distinct from Eze. Wolves was rumored to play him as a striker , but at Palace, Mateta will strike. Will his power playing style work in England which has faster paced game than the tactical driven Spanish league.

I think Palace is a decent club and already on an upward trajectory. They have won 2 trophies in the space of 1 year and this season they have drew Chelsea without conceding and already beating A.Villa 0-2... They are also playing in Europe
How good a story would Chrisantus' be if he could play well for Palace in Europe and the EPL and it leads to another transfer for a bigger club in Europe who then pays three times Palace paid for him

“Mikel Obi was not ever seen eating in everyone’s house like an Almajiri. That is why he played for the best club in the world and went far in football. Gen Z super eagles should learn from him”
As a matter of fact Mikel actually moved, lived and operated like a white boy during his playing career. The recent controversial video of his where he shook hands with his former colleagues from the national team and he had struggled to remember one of them cracks me up. Running a podcast now is one thing I find very amusing about his personality because he came of as a reserved and quite soul. I guess there are many ends to this . Osimhen on the other hand might turn out to be an introvert after his career, I mean we can never tell. the more he stays in those climates , the more it refreshes his soul and imagination of life. He grew up in a tough and rough climate that demanded you to toughen up and be extroverted . It was his early survival skills. Today he is in a better climate with a blend of European and Arabic ideals. This will most definitely change him.

Time and time again Boniface keeps screaming he is okay where he is. He enjoys his life how it is. He has fought his battles and many more we wouldn't know about to get to where he is. We shouldn't take what he post as anything personal about him. It's his own guilty pleasure. If two deals collapse within a space of months. He is not complaining, he still has a club where he can go back to. And the club will readily accept him. He recognizes his career could have been over a long time ago when he first had this career threatening injury, through resilience he bounced back and has gone on to make a name for himself in Norway , Belgium as well as Germany as he was a core member of the Leverkusen that went undefeated in that season to win the league. He is ever grateful for that career limelights. He has represented his national team, something every footballer dreams of. Yes he has an eye for social media frivolities, that's just the extra perks of his wholesomeness.

TheLoneCitizen:
The sheer daftness of this Gen z crop of players need to be a lesson for the next set.

Your move to a top club collapses and the whole world uses it to push a narrative that you're unprofessional with social media

Instead of you to read the room, you go ahead to score a cheap post with an IG post which rebounds on your face after the world's most popular journalist misconstrues it.

You now have to go even cheaper by posting DMs of your chat with the said journalist to prove a point, indirectly blacklisting yourself from further reporting by that journalist. All cos of a lack of professionalism

In other words, proving that the world was right about your unprofessionalism.

Even Naira Marley against all odds was able to clean his image because he shut up at the right time

A sight you should get used to seeing onward.

Onuachu first to double digits.
He knows what he has to do to get back to the national team ...and he will do it easily here again. All he need do is score as much as Osimhen since they both play in Turkey and he will make a case for himself. He has done it before there and he can do it again

It's always like whenever this people interested in switching they always employ a professional to write out this request speech of calling out to the national team and appealing to the fans empathy.

And as fans we are always ready and happy to give them an opportunity if they are good enough.

Anyways who needs a writer ??

It's well
They've upped their bid to €45M
Looks likely that Atalanta will take the deal
I doubt Atlanta will bulge. If Atletico Madrid actually offered 50m for him and Lookman turned it down because he prefers a move to Atalanta's league rivalry?? Then Atalanta might as well milk out every possible money they can and give him their blessings on the basis that they get the maximum 50m. Football is business.
