Every time Australia concedes in this world cup they end up conceding thrice. Against Nigeria and against England. |

BascoVanVeli: Oh boy Basco, leave this talk we, do u want to go there with a player to break world cup appearances or u want to go there with a full strong squad to win the world cup. Well I know definitely you wanna win the world cup with a full solid team whereby when a player is hurt in the tournament or is suspended from next match you are very sure of the backups on ground. Please don't let people hate Ebi, she has had an excellent career. We appreciate her efforts. We appreciate her sacrifices. We appreciate all that she has done for the green, white and green. God bless her for her strong patriotism of wanting to represent us in the next world cup. However, 4 years time from now is a different ball game. She will most likely have a decline in speed and abilities and that's not want going forward. We want everybody in the team justifiably there to win the world cup. We don't want no records on appearances. What's really special about that to the nation. We need to medal up. Since 1991 we have been present in all world cups. That record sef don do. 3 Likes 1 Share |

E still dey pain me say we don jaah.. I can't look forward to the game on Saturday. How is wish it can be Nigeria 🇳🇬 vs Colombia 🇨🇴. How I so wished . So many whys buy we can only move. Why was Oshoala trying to perform bicycle kick on two occasions in that game. Just as Osimhen was doing against Ghana in our world cup qualifier. So many whys but then I hope this team spirit can be kept alive and burning. I hope the NFF will keep giving this girls the support for invitational tourney in Europe asia and America. That is the only way we can keep up with this other nations. From there I hope we can fix our goal-scoring problem, we need clinical strikers. I remember the days of Perpetual Nwokocha, that lady was a finisher. We need a striker in the mind of South Africa's Kthalana. You can feel her spirit when she moves. Sadly Oshoala has tried. And there is no place to hide anymore for her. She is no longer it. She has played her part. We need to create a striker for this team's style of play. The likes of Sebastian is there, I still believe so much in her, technically she is up there, maybe her physique might not be too strong but we can slowly mould her. 5 Likes |

lovewins: Explain to these people ..let them know. We have shows that we have the capacity of a top 10 team. But can we do it again in the next four years. That should be our goal. Can we perform at this level in the next world cup to show it is no fluke? What and what can we do to be more solid going forward? I can now believe that we can play any team with today's performance. The real problem for me is the African mentality that makes us go back and relax without any concrete plan going forward. Watch teams with concrete plans next four years like the USA. Watch where they will reach, they are more likely to end up in top four. That's to tell you they went to the drawing board to fix things. Let's also have the same plan like them, it's not so hard. This is what I define as a winning mindset that comes from consistency. It's not the one we played today where we are supposed to be underdogs and still lost as underdogs. but the pain is quite understandable. Look let me tell you all here, even if we had played Denmark it might not have been any different at the knockout for us. Four years means a lot, we can hit the quarter-finals or semifinals there. Back to back we have played round 16 now. We have shown consistency there. Last time we lost 3 nil to Germany. Today we lost via penalty kicks. Thumbs up. And we can't take away some credit from the glass house for this too. But then we are more than satisfied with the round 16 result even when we play Germany, the USA, Brazil or England again in the next round I want to believe our game should be on the ascendancy. That's all. 1 Like |

ThePresenceWtf: Bro nothing u said there did I not understand. And u are limited by your own knowledge. We played Morocco at WAFCON we were two players down and Morroco did everything and couldn't break us down even after extra time. We still had the threat when we attacked. Why did u think it played out that way, we are always ahead of Morocco in female football and we were not gonna give in to them even though they were the host nation and seemed to enjoy some officiating decision. In fact that tournament was our worst outing we probably wouldn't have qualified for the world cup for the fact that we finished 4th. Here is a similar situation with England whose football level is ahead of ours and you talk of breaking them down because they are a man down, however bad England played today and we couldn't get the kill punch we needed doesn't take away anything from our girls or those of us who support them for trying. It takes consistency. Today they were lucky we had them on the edge let's consolidate on what we have and work on it, it was good game play from. That's what we are saying. We want to be at the top of the food chain, and that comes with continuous grinding and hard work. I'm sure if we play England tomorrow again we can now beat them. Today before the game was played I never expected that we will have them on the edge. Based on their reputation in comparison with ours. All we have to do is work on what we have today to fear no team again. I hope we keep closing the gap at least and not expecting us to win a game we weren't favored to win. That's my own point. 1 Like |

ThePresenceWtf:We hold some of the worst records for a team in the world cup, most goals conceded, least number of goals etc. How u want to define progress again now that we are out. We kept another clean sheet in today's game. Sometimes how do you people talk and reason? What bar of expectation? Progress is born out of consistency. 9 world cups for us and this is our best. In 1999 it was quarter-finals because we didn't have a round of 16 then. But in terms of performance this is our best performance in the word cup, yes now that we are out It is our best performance. We left undefeated in 90 mins of all games. 4 Likes 1 Share |

camri: The worst decision the NFF will be making. All of a sudden we have a team playing the European Champion toe-to-toe and we are screaming Randy out. So we could bring in our local coaches who don't have this high and fine level of technical refinement. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Unlimited22: Funny how we didn't end up missing Ngozi Okobi in the world cup. But how I wished we had a player like Deborah Abiodun in the extra time of this game things might have been different. Because she can go forward and create as well as mark, I guess that was why we had ordega. |

elyte89: After the first game against Canada, Alozie had gone to tweet saying two more games to go. That was her mindset. She didn't picture the cup. She could have said six more games to go. That tells u the mindset. She is quite ok with her performance. |

klexycole: Exactly the team was set up to defend. And that is why we are so hard to beat. We shouldn't be thinking of setting up ourselves like USA, and other offensive European nations, if not we will be playing like south Africa because we cannot match them for now. But we can become more brutal in our defense and work better on counter. When we play in Africa we can develop and explore offensive styles that suit the basic background of our defensive team. I enjoy the fact that we don't concede goals, it is very relaxing for me. And we can work on little errors of the opponent to punish them like our third goal against Australia. |

skallion7: Whatever you've just said makes u sound like the group of people from the other country that hates their other African counterparts. I choose not to be on that table. There are still millions of south Africans, Ghanaians and other African nationality supporting Nigeria when they are up against other continent . But of course local rivalry is allowed, I can't support south Africa or ghana when we have to meet within our region and that's fair and good for them not to support us when it is a regiona or continental derby .. We should stop taking cheap hate poison it damages our lives and rationality. |

If you've never watched South Africa play it is no hype, they are a good ball-playing side. They can create, they can entertain and that's why they play high-scoring games. And they can create chances. 1 Like |

One would have thought Nigeria qualifying out of its group was a miracle. But Morocco! Damn. That's even bigger. When Zambia beat Germany in the last friendly, they thought they had arrived. Little did they know Germany was not the standard they will use to determine their status to compete. I guess they went to sleep and relax. Mhen this Moroccan qualified after conceding six goals in the first game against Germany and went on not to concede in the remaining two group matches. 2 Likes |

Congratulations to south Africa. First-ever world cup win that earned them a place in the round 16 for the first time. They averaged two goals per game in the group stage. In comparison with Nigeria who had a better defense but averaged a goal per match. We were in a comfortable position after our second game. This tells you what a good and solid defense gives you in a tournament over a free-scoring side. Nigeria conceded two goals throughout the group stage. And south Africa conceded an average of two goals pregame. The south African girls perhaps play in a manner that allows them to attack and it could have been different if they hadn't scored the winner in today's game in the 93rd minute. However there is need for them to improve on their defense. 1 Like |

Rockyrascal: I think this became our 11 after the likes of Agali, Babayaro, and Yakubu?? were sent out of the team camp for going out to flex with whores. To make their offense look calmer they said they snuck out of camp to party. This happened after the opening game against Morocco where we lost. And of course, a group of players chose that moment to display indiscipline. This opened the door for the fringe players in the team. The likes of Osaze and John Utaka. Both played key roles on our journey to the third-place finish. And this was certainly JJ Okacha's tournament. scoring some beautiful freekick and entertaining us with great football 2 Likes |

If there will ever be a reason why Chukwueze shouldn't go to Saudi if that chance opens up now, it should be out of the need to secure an EU passport for himself. 1 Like |

typicalgamer: Exactly. If Saudi Arabian League offers him 200k a week for 5 years, that's huge. Where will he get that at in Milan for 3 years. After all those who think they know it all like charlesemeka is talking nonsense when Odion Ighalo said we play football for money. Milan wouldn't offer Chukwueze 100k per week sef. Chukwueze is still guaranteed his position in the national team for the next five years hopefully we win a medal at AFCON and that's fine with the national team. The national team is not gonna win the world cup in the next 5 years so don't waste time. We pray 🙏 to play in the next afcon finals which is a more likely reality. Add that to Chukwueze real age and ability. Who could have thought that Taiye Taiwo after all his exploit in Marseille will turn out to be a flop at Milan. Football is unpredictable and what we define as ambition differs. 1 Like |
