Previously Nigerians had to get special permission from the commissioner of the Tanzanian Immigration Service before they could travel to Tanzania. That is, Nigerians had to be referred before they could get a visa. You had to apply months in advance.

But now Tanzania says that Nigerians can travel to Tanzania with a normal visa, no need for referral
