We all know that redmi note 7 is a good phone too but all these complains here, whatsapp not installing, rom this rom that, id this id that, u can't find them or Samsung. The only problem am having a second tot on Samsung is spare parts especially the screen when it fall

For whatsapp issue, on Chinese rom, grant permission to whatsapp and Google service. It would immediately start working.

Description of the fault.

A customer bought it from me and after unboxing and updating it, noticed a line impression that runs from top to bottom of the screen. This is not a broken screen. I had to collect back the phone and sent the buyer a replacement.

I'm currently with the phone and after using it for over 2 hours, the line is not there. The screen seems perfect to me. I was almost forced to think the buyer was lying if not that he sent me a picture of the issue. Apparently, it comes once in a while and goes away.

Update: I noticed that the line came up briefly and disappeared again. See the line on picture 2

You welcome baba, unlocking bootloader and getting global rom is the way to go. Seems the pie update is crashing phones that came with global rom but the bootloader unlock wasn't official

I thought the guy who got his own bricked was global version with bootloader sealed.

I got OTA software update notification on my Redmi Note 5 ai (China ROM). I think it was for update to Pie. After downloading from a strong WiFi network, I installed and immediately after, my screen started flickering off and on like every 2/3 seconds. Can't even open beyond desktop and it flickers off back to lock screen. What to do??

Seems this note 5 pie rom has some bugs on some note 5

No, it is still locked. I would advise you to commence the process of unlocking it so that once the global rom comes out, you can flash it via mi flash tool.

if your phone happens to suffer softbrick, you can get it back working if your bootloader is unlocked. If your bootloader is locked and you brick your phone, it's usually goodbye to the phone.
