Lol. I hate to be in your shoes boy coz it's obvious you and your ilk are desperate to find a way to get the rest of the country's attention via the pity parties you call protests but too bad y'all appear too insignificant to command the level of attention you seek. You cleverly failed to address the fact I cited that Onitsha market is dependent on imported goods that enter Nigeria majorly via SW ports, without which the market ceases to exist. In other words, the part of the country that owns and controls the seaport where imported goods that are the lifeline of the likes of Onitsha can easily replace Onitsha in a heartbeat -- we'll simply import those goods ourselves and cut y'all off and problem solved. So don't flatter yourself, boy.

Looking at the map, I can now understand why Ibos want the forced SS/SE relationship and their renewed claim on Ijawlands.
If I may ask, why did the FG carved Obigbo an Igbo territory out of Abia state into Rivers state? Is it because Obigbo has the largest oil well?
Hmm! Pure marginalization... Why the injustice?

OP, thanks for this inspirational message. Thanks.

If there was ever a time it was easier to become great and successful, it's NOW. Like you correctly said, the greats like Bill Gates never had the enormous opportunities and information we have now. I even read somewhere he had to travel very long distances to have access to the massive mainframe computers that were available back then.

We have all it takes to make it. But we have to think differently. I think differently. My definition and notion of success is totally different to what obtains with thousands of people that cross my way. I question beliefs. I challenge customs. I dare to be different. I dare to think in an unconventional manner.

The major reason our nation is this way is because almost everyone thinks alike. Only a few Nigerians think differently. Only a few Nigerians are truly troubled with poor infrastructures, poor health care, poor educational system, deplorable roads, etc. Only a few even THINK!

To be great is to be misunderstood. All great men were misunderstood at some point in their life times. This is because they choose to reason and think differently; they refuse to conform to the expectations of society; they refuse to be mediocres.

My dear Nigerian student, wake up and smell the coffee; you're responsible for your life. Dare to be different. Dare to dream.
Nice one! Inspired by this thread and your post too in particular...

The Criminality Hausa/fulani/yoruba government are trying to divide Igbo land, but they failed woefully...

Why was an Igbo territory(obigbo) in Abia state secceeded into Rivers state? Is it because Obigbo has the Largest oil well??... Why the Injustice?

Where do you Ibos get all these nonsense statistics from? You should get some education about revenue generation laws in Nigeria before displaying your ignorance publicly. Lagos state does not generate majority of it internal revenue from seaports, markets and entertainment.

All the ports in Lagos are operated by the federal government and the Nigeria customs service is in charge of administering the duties charged on importation and exportation. State governments have nothing to do with with levelling taxes on imported and exported products. States are only allowed majorly to administer personal income tax, capital gains tax (individual), registration of business premises etc.

And your argument about Lagos state generating huge revenues from markets and entertainment is very funny. Those traders pay little or nothing as taxes to the state government. Their contributions is very insignificant when you look at the average monthly revenue generated by Lagos state.
Oluwole statistic..

Fact is that Lagos generates most of its IGR from port..
You forgot that oils in Niger-delta are also operated by the same FG...

You guys don't wanna accept the truth. I remembered when the Gov. of Nasarawa said that Igbos contribute massive IGR into the state coffer. He never mentioned yoruba..
Going by your logic, Nigeria has its citizens in every country of the world, how come Nigeria is not as developed as China ?
Tribalism, Injustice.. A house that is not unite, will dwindle...

And to think that you cannot use ccommon sense to differentiate between migration as result of economic, social, environmental hardship to migration as a result of sharing expertise or expanding your businesses..
Igbos businessmen are doing the second option you gave...

Hownmany Chinese have you seen selling gala or pirated CD on the street on Lagos just to build China ? ...
You are so naive! Have you ever heard of "Chinko"?..

Brown roofs are still present in alaibo. plus you people don't have enough land, hence the destruction on the old settlements to build new houses that would have served has tourist attraction or for business....
Yorubas are yet to adapt to modernization.. If not for Igbos and the present of Lagos in SW. The SW region would have been good as the North East...
We have old settlements and our new settlement still beat all of alaibo hands down..
Hahahaha! Joke of the century...

Ebonyi state(least in SE) has more modern buildings than Oyo state... (sorry, Igbos don't do media propaganda)..
How much are nnewei , aba or innoson contributing to the GDP? The last time I checked, 85% of non oil revenue comes from south west ..
Out of the 85% non-oil revenue.. Lagos state alone is about 80% out of 85%.. Out of the 80% from Lagos state, 77% is from Seaport and Tax(markets)...
Now ask yourself, who the most users of lagos port is? And who Owns all the Largest Markets in Lagos?... (truth is bitter...

The rest of the rants ... do not deserve response ..its the usual chest beating lies from a typical Igbo ..
These is how you people have been ranting about our oyel and finally turns out SW is the second largest producer of oil in nigeria ..
The Largest Oil well in Nigeria is in Afam, Obigbo LGA in Rivers state. They are 100% Igbo people.. The criminality FG secceed Obigbo which is formerly in Abia state into Rivers state... Just to make sure that SE states are left out... (INJUSTICE in Nigeria)...

LETS DO MATHS on Lagos. Lagos state generates her IGR mostly from the Sea-port, Market(tax), and Entertainment industry.. 1) Seaport - 85% of Seaport users are Igbos in which most of the INTERNATIONAL IMPORTERS are Igbos... Because there are no Ibos in Adamawa trying to claim them and their lands, most of other parts of Nigeria are live and let live. Ibos are the opposite! The SW also has many dialects and minor variants but all Yorubas are very comfortable about each other, maybe due to hundreds of years of living together in an empire. Ibos are thieves, and the more they try to claim these ND groups, the more they will be wary of Ibos and try to run away from them. Ibos are land grabbers and covetous people. Their land is so poor it self destructs itself in what is called massive gully erosion. This is why Ibos are looking for other people's land and then overwhelm the minorities by their greedy numbers and dire love for money!!!!!

One can only speak for his people.

The Ikwerre i come from originated as the son of Akalaka who migrated from benin kingdom..i know ive heard the Okpo Wagidi story some other ikwerres use as their origin and the link with IsiOkpo.

Dunno if you noticed the Emohua people are usually fiercest in our stance that we arent Igbos because we are very certain about our ancestry as our brothers the Ekpeyes are a readily available proof to our claims.

Irregardless, Ikwerre has come a long way in gaining separate recognition.we have set ourselves on a path.i believe Ikwerre should be left alone and allowed to grow at her pace and also to chart her destiny. This undue interference and unwanted brotherhood is nothing but distraction to us.
I really don't want Ikwerres to be part of Igbos..

But I will advice you guys to stop using the word Akalaka..

Akalaka means destiny in Igbo language, but means nothing in Bini language..

If you are a good student of History, you will know that The Benin Kingdom were "EXPANSIONIST"..

According to bini encyclopeadia, the word Akalaka doesn't exist in her history nor was their any Prince, slave, outcast or commoner with such name in her history...
