Pls boss help me out. My acct was hacked yday bay one Yang Hoo. I couldnt log in thru out yday cos fb couldnt recognise my email. It kept telling me to join as a fresh member cos my acct does not exist.
Today,i went to my yahoomail which is what i used to register on fb n realised my acct has been compromised n was asked to follow some steps to retreive it. I did all dat n gained access. I changed my email n password n secured it. But my problem now is dat i cant change my user name,its still d chinese man's name. How do i do dat. Although i was told i cant change it cos i justr did dat recently. I have reported d issue sha to fb. But i want to know how soon i can change d name.
The man do me strong thing. Deleted all my pictures n info. Am so sad but also happy i have regained it. But i need to change dat weird name asap. Pls help .cc: jieta

Firstly am sorry about what your facing, yeah according to facebook policies you can only change your name every 60 days approximately 2 months, so bro I'm still guessing how he accessed your account.

Luckily you will get your account back but I will advice you to us two way authenticationn whereby any log in attempt on your facbook account requires a code that will will be sent to you before they can access.. Its very safe and reliable.

I wish lala and his team could make this post a thread for facebook users

About the two way authentication, I've tried it, in fact i won't be here seeking for help because i know this is the most easiest way to retrieve your account but the problem is Facebook is sending the code to the number I've misplace, had it been I'm still using my old line all this won't happen. i even tried to change the number to my current phone number yet no success asking me to insert password



about your second paragraph I've already don that I use Facebook lite to activate it day before yesterday. how do i ask Facebook about the three trusted friends using opera mini.

the problem is, as you have said that you misplaced the number you signed up with facebook, its gonna be a little bit difficult, or only if you added a functioning mail address, it happened to my first account, i was still young then, i misplaced the number and forgot it... later when i was trying to access my facebook again in 2013, i found out i could'nt only if i can get that number back..... its not funny then bro, i have to create another account which am currently using and secure it with 3 emails, 2 phone lines, three contacts, and anything possible te o regain my account if anything funny happens... or if you can retrieve that line it il be better idea.

please throw some lite on the two way authentication.

Two way authentication simply means for every log in attempt on a new device, a code will be required to gain full access to your account and they code will only be sent to your phone, so which means even if your friends spy and got your password, they won't be able to gain full access to your account, they will be prompt to enter the code...

And again, another way is having trusted contacts incase you were locked out of your account or blocked, you simply go to privacy settings and choose three friends you trust very well on facebook, might be your mom, dad, sibling in most cases, whenever you were locked out or blocked from facebook, when you ask for three trusted friends, facebook will send a link to the three people, these links will help you gain access to your facebook account bro.

So do one of this on time before things go out of hand

Bro this also happened to a friend too, he has been blocked from his real facebook account, the only solution you have is if you added any contact on your facebook profile like email and phone number, it will help you get back online in case you mistakenly log out from your lite or you use two way authentication which am using and its very safe and secured. Else facebook isn't smiling, I heard a rumur that its due to the numerous scams going on, was the reason for the recent malfunctioning...
