Today's hint but it might not be useful for u now until later in the process of admission but it worked last year for him.
Yes, My score was 213 and My post ume is also 213, avrage is 213 also, and I chose Geology as my course.

Finally i heard about the sup form and i browse to jamb site and check the number of candidate in each course.

So i found out that SOIL SCIENCE has only but 87 candidate's, both 1st & 2nd choice candidate, so I filled it as my supplementary course for me to have more chance of ADMISSION.

Finally futo also mark SOIL SCIENCE, 180 as dia cut off mark, so this meant I still have a great chance, after all this, it was submitted by My Uncle, NO STRESS AT ALL.........

Now I finally made it as FUTOCRATICAL FUTOISM material.

Note: soil science is not my DREAM course, but i did it to just get my self in FUTO, but by God grace i will SWAP to another FINE COURSE

Do Not Apply For 2013 JAMB UTME Online Until You Have Read n understand n have all necessary information
It is usually said that admission start from application. The experience I have had in the admission game has proven this statement tot be true. Statements like “if I had known when I was applying …” or “I never knew this before my application” is very common. At that point though, they have already lost the admission. So, the point I am making is that, if you want to win the battle of admission, you have to start from application.

EducationRe: 2013/2014 Utme And Admission Process by macmos(op): 7:07am On Nov 13, 2012
Today's hint
Never put ur egg in one basket. This means that never choose a school as ur first and second choice. Am saying this due to some experience. This year a man promised a guy admission into a school and told him to choose it as first and second choice. He had a good post utme but on is post utme day he was not feeling fine so did not do well n the he does not want to go to the polytechnic. Fortunate for him he came on nairaland saw a post of mine on uniosun supplementary post utme called me and he did the exam now he is a student there in the department of chemistry. But what if we never met n no sch did supplementary it would have been a wasted year for him just because he chose a sch as 1stand2nd. Don't put ur egg in a basket. Explaining JAMB’s e-testing for 2013 UTME

As the Federal Government, last week, formally launched Computer-Based Test for the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, Clement Idoko writes on the initiative.

As part of the ongoing reforms in the education sector, the Minister of Education, Professor Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufa’i, formally launched Computer-Based Test to be employed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with effect from 2013.

The first of its kind in the country, there however, are fears of the feasibility of the concept, given the low level of knowledge in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Nigeria. The fears being expressed by both stakeholders in the education sector and some would-be UTME candidates are further heightened by the inadequacy of infrastructure to support the scheme.

Computer-Based Test is administration of an examination using a computer. When fully implemented, it will come to replace the Paper-Pencil Test (PPT) used by JAMB in the conduct of the UTME.

However, Professor Rufai, and the Registrar, Chief Executive of JAMB, Professor ’Dibu Ojerinde, dispelled whatever fears that may be entertained by the people, as due diligence, according to them had been taken in the development of the initiative.

One unique feature of the e-exam, as announced by Professor Ojerinde, is that the 2013 UTME will be staggered and will hold for 17 days, obviously because of inadequate computers for the examination to hold in a day, simultaneously across the nation and in some foreign countries, as it used to be. He also disclosed that every candidate will get his or her score instantly as the examination is concluded, while the final results would be released by the board later.

The flag-off, according to the JAMB registrar marks the beginning of intensive campaign of CBT, for Nigerians to get acquainted with the scheme before the examination is held next year. Car stickers, flyers and posters have been produced by JAMB for distribution to the public and candidates during registration. The board said it will also employ radio, television jingles and newspaper advertisement to properly educate people on the scheme.

The minister, while unveiling the scheme in Abuja, announced gradual phasing out of the paper-pencil test. According to her, candidates will be presented with three options in the UTME from 2013 to 2015 when the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be fully implemented.

She explained that apart from the CBT, candidates have two other options, namely; the traditional Paper- Pencil Test and Dual Mode involving the use of Computer and Paper-Based Test.

In the case of CBT, an individual will be electronically tested. In other words, you see the questions on the screen and you answer on the screen, while in the case of Computer and Paper, candidates could see questions on display on computer and use the paper and pencil to answer.

Rufa’i, who was exhilarated at the initiative, described the e-testing as a unique and very transformative effort of the Federal Ministry of Education, through JAMB. She said: “Under the present administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, we are targeting the transformation of the entire education sector between now and 2015. Part of the effort is to look at the issue of quality of education and then to also look at the issue of access.”

She noted that part of the issue of quality was to ensure that “we do our testing and assessment properly,” adding that the concept would help address some of the challenges faced in the conduct of examination in the country.

According to her, the CBT has two major advantages. “First, we are moving in terms of advancing the nation technologically, like is obtainable elsewhere in the nations of the world. And of course, the major advantage is to reduce or completely eliminate the issue of examination malpractices.”
