They can speak to power at anytime but they must come with alternative and suggestions to government rather than condemnation alone and expected hunger to go. The question is, did the bishops expected that removal of subsidy and floating of naira will have no negative effects on the citizens? Has any past government taken such step to have know what the effects will be. But
When churches were building schools, hospitals maternity etc in old days, does it mean there was no government In power then? They should suggest to government how the hunger will be eliminated because all of us are facing it together.

Tinubu was referring to legitimate political competition, not election rigging. In the very same remarks, he reaffirmed that INEC would remain independent and that every party would have equal opportunity.
