Honestly speaking Nigeria is blessed with inept leadership. There's no need for this meeting, all the FG needed to do is increase the production of LPG since Nigeria is blessed with enernous gas, flood the market with this product and see all the hoarders scrambling for consumers.

The law allowed Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to use electronic systems for voting and transmission of results. But the Act did not expressly make real-time electronic transmission mandatory for all elections.
This is as reasonable and realistic as it gets.
If you are so keen on live transmission of results, simply as all your party representatives to stream theirs live. No one has stopped that. All party agents present are signatory to the counting and documentation of results.
So political parties have capacity to stream results live but INEC with it's over bloated budget cannot?

What an irony.

Errmmm, because it is not possible in all areas so cannot be made a law. Commonsense prevailed.
But bandits are everywhere doing ticktok video. Even the Telecomm operators told us it is very possible. APC did electronic registration of their members everywhere. Common sense is indeed not common.
PoliticsRe: Kidnappers, Insecurity Forces Obi To Use Helicopter To Visit Anambra Communities by Macphenson: 11:40am On Jun 20
Who is afraid of Peter Obi? Why the attack from Tinubu urchins?

After about three years of Tinubu as a President, he couldn't bring developments that will intimidate Peter Obi's presidential ambition.

Look at what Alex Otti have done in Abia state, no politician is foolish enough to waste his money to contest as governor in 2027 because everybody knows the result already.

Tinubu is the S.I. Unit of failure in governance and administration.

Peter Obi is not your regular politician.

You are the illiterate here. Why will Wike be building houses for judges? The judicial commission should be incharge of everything judiciary including the welfare of judges.

Misterone:
The legislative arm is the one that shares the money and decides on what to spent it on. So they can include theirs unlike the judiciary that has nothing to do with money
All the judiciary needed to do was use their leverage and get a bill for independent judicial funding, that early they won't be controlled by the executive.

We have 3 arms of government. The legislature and executive are given houses. The judiciary does not generate funds. It's the executive that does. Why will the judiciary be different.
The legislative arm of government is not a revenue generating arm so why omitting it to suit Ur bias?
Budgetary provisions should be made to the judiciary so they will be completely independent.

PoliticsRe: Critics Challenge Peter Obi's Security Record In Anambra. by Macphenson: 2:49pm On Jun 17
CharlesCNG:
My friend, you are deflecting again.

The topic here is Peter Obi’s security record as governor of Anambra, not Tinubu.

If you want Tinubu, there are many other threads for that. Stay on the subject.

An IGP praising a sitting governor during a courtesy visit is not the same thing as hard evidence that insecurity was solved. Public officials flatter governors every day.

The more important evidence is what happened after Obi left.

If Obi truly solved Anambra’s security problem, why did Obiano come in and immediately make security a major agenda?

Why did he launch security operations?

Why did he speak about making kidnapping history?

You don’t inherit a solved problem and start treating it like an emergency.

So please, leave Tinubu out of this one and answer the issue:

Was Anambra completely secure under Obi?

Were there no robbery cases?

Were there no kidnapping incidents?

Did Obiano inherit a finished security miracle or a security problem still needing urgent attention?

That is the discussion.
I posted a link for you to read and cure your ignorance.

So you didn't see the link showing what the then IG of Police said about Anambra state as reported by The Nation Newspaper which is owned by Tinubu?

I think your problem is more than I anticipated so I won't dignity you with further response.
PoliticsRe: Critics Challenge Peter Obi's Security Record In Anambra. by Macphenson: 9:13am On Jun 17
CharlesCNG:
My friend, you have shifted from evidence to folklore.

If Anambra was completely secured under Peter Obi, why did Dubawa find **549 armed robbery cases between 2007 and 2011**?

Why did FIJ report that Obi himself admitted in 2009 that armed robbery and kidnapping were rising and that he was taking steps to curb them?

And if Obi solved everything, why did Obiano enter office in 2014 promising that “kidnapping will be history” and immediately launch security operations?

That means there was still a problem to solve.

Yes, Obi made efforts. Nobody denies that.

But effort is not perfection.

Changing Police Commissioners is not a national security blueprint.

Buying vehicles is not a doctrine for defeating bandits, terrorists, kidnappers and separatists across 36 states.

So let us ask the real question:

What exactly is Peter Obi’s alternative security plan for Nigeria?

Will he import a new army, new police, new navy and new intelligence agencies?

Or will he still work with the same institutions he and his supporters keep undermining?

Nigeria does not need security mythology.

Nigeria needs a clear, workable blueprint.
https://thenationonlineng.net/ig-declares-anambra-safest-since-five-years

This is a report from your masters Nation Newspaper. IGP was even advising Obiano to emulate Peter Obi.

I won't respond to you on this matter again as you want to earn your 30k.

The discussion to be having is why Tinubu has failed in all round governance and administration. Tinubu is the President not Peter Obi
PoliticsRe: Critics Challenge Peter Obi's Security Record In Anambra. by Macphenson: 8:25am On Jun 17
CharlesCNG:
# Peter Obi’s Security Myth Does Not Survive Verification

Peter Obi and his supporters often speak as if Anambra was practically crime-free under his governorship.

But “Go and Verify” also applies to security.

Dubawa fact-checked the claim that there was no armed robbery under Obi and found it false, citing NBS figures showing **549 armed robbery cases in Anambra between 2007 and 2011**.

Vanguard also reported in August 2009 that Obi vowed to end “frequent armed robbery and kidnapping” in Anambra within two weeks. That alone destroys the mythology that insecurity was not a serious issue.

Even Obi’s own actions confirm the problem. In 2013, he donated armoured and patrol vehicles to the police because security had become a major concern.

So the question is simple:

If there was no serious insecurity, why the emergency vows?

Why the armoured vehicles?

Why the anti-kidnapping actions?

Why did later administrations still speak about inherited security challenges?

This is not to say Obi did nothing. He made efforts.

But effort is not the same as perfection.

The problem is the Obidient habit of turning a mixed record into a miracle story.

Peter Obi did not govern a crime-free Anambra.

He governed a state that battled kidnapping, robbery and criminality like many others.

So when Obidients weaponise insecurity today, Nigerians have every right to ask:

What exactly did your own candidate solve when he had executive power?

Facts are not hatred.

Verification is not tribalism.
Go and check Anambra was the most secured state during Peter Obi. The then IG said it. Peter Obi never joked with security. He always demanded for a change of Police Commissioner once he feels the one present isn't performing to expectations. Five CPs where change all through Peter Obi's Tenure as a governor.

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Himself Invited Nigerians To "Go And Verify." Fair . Let Us Verify! by Macphenson: 4:15pm On Jun 15
CharlesCNG:
Interesting.

I write about Peter Obi, you ask me about Tinubu.

I question Obi’s record, you demand Tinubu’s achievements.

That is the Great Obidient Deflection.

Is Peter Obi’s record so fragile that it cannot be defended without changing the subject?

Tinubu’s performance, good or bad, does not exempt Peter Obi from scrutiny.

Peter Obi wants to be President of Nigeria. That makes his record, promises and competence legitimate subjects of examination.

You can criticize Tinubu.

I can criticize Peter Obi.

Democracy allows both.

But “What about Tinubu?” is not an argument. It is an escape route.

If you cannot explain your preferred candidate without attacking another candidate, then maybe your support is based more on resentment than confidence.

Peter Obi said, “Go and Verify.”

Some of us did.

The problem is that not everyone likes the results.
You people have not even scrutinized Tinubu for once, both as a governor and as a sitting president.
