Corruption or Negligence?
Do you not know that it is due to the corruption in the international community and the carelessness of our government that Nigeria is not regarded as an english speaking country

Firstly, the use of English in Nigeria dates back to the seventeenth century but some of these countries that make huge profits from us through these English exams know this truth but won't acknowledge it. This is because they don't want to stop milking Nigerians, as we are one of the highest travellers in the world, just imagine the tons of cash they are making from us the programmed customers. This is Corruption 1.

Secondly, how can the british who colonized us, set up our education system and also made english our official language then turn around to come up with we are not "native" english speaking country! This is corruption 2. That "native" is a big deception since the colonial masters integrated everything about English into us even before the amalgamation of Nigeria.

Thirdly, they know our government care less for us, and they won't stand up to defend us in the face of such injustice, that is primarily why these people have continued to milk us. Our government officials have other priorities & self interests when dealing with the international community.

Lastly, we the travellers, international students, job seekers and immigrants have not united to speak up for our right as we did with endsars. #endenglishexams We are individually afraid of being rejected or accepted when dealing with the international community asuch we can't or won't hurt a fly. Besides I won't blame us given the situation of the country as opportuned citizens are on exit mode. Realistically, when we individually and collectively bombard our government officials and the international community with emails, online campaigns and viral videos pointing them to the truth that we are English speaking people without any need for English exams; they will definitely hear us because they can't stay wrong forever. Truthfully, it's long overdue!

Chimamanda Adichie if it will help our case please tell them something about your history of english. Any person of interest should make this a priority. Let's end these english exams online like we ended sars. We have done it before, we can do it again!
