That's sooooooooooooooooooo true lipsrsealed

rajiade:
This cause for a deep thought.

For one to betray any of his loved ones as an escape from being betrayed. What do u think?
The only way I would EVER betray a secret  or any other personal info would  be if I were in court. More fool me sad

Hi guys! How's everyone doing? Hope the Val celebration is bringing loads of love and happiness. . . Wink

Please what are the common problems that young children and pregnant women face in Nigerian hospitals? I mean, what problems can charity resolve for these people?

I'm thinking of starting a charity programme for young children and pregnant women in Nigeria - starting with Enugu.
Suggestions and ideas please!

Many thanks! smiley

(I also posted in the health section)
Truly worthwhile cause, I'll contribute when you've got it started.

What about portable Ultra Scan Machines?

I will check back in a few weeks and see what you decide.
I hear you Madlady.  However, genetic disorders can and are discovered before pregnancy.  For instance, when a child go through yearly visit with their pediatrician the disorders are discovered because the parents are asked questions concerning family history.

Routine tests determine red flags medically and the patients are informed.  It is highly unusual for a genetic disorder to slip past the keen eye of doctors.  A century ago, the only known disorders were retarddation, blindness, and deafness.  With the rise of advanced technology, new disorders are being discovered and through routine medical examinations and testing the patients are informed.
Now let say if they didn't know and become pregnant.  These ladies are married and do you think that it is fair for the husband to lose their child because the mother do not want to bring a defected child into the world?
That's not always the case, some heredity conditions can and does go undiagnosed.

Some families who marry within the family are prone to certain conditions, I am sure lots more cases can be found.
RomanceRe: Is There Any Good Reason For Committing An Abortion? by madlady(f): 3:08pm On Jan 28, 2011
Some women do not know they have a genetic condition until they are pregnant.

An extremely  intelligent young woman @Ikeke-IdI  gave the most succinct explanation but I will add the following.

Some genetic conditions may not be evident until after the first trimester, i personally could not bring a child into this world to suffer. lipsrsealed

SA Goddess:
Happy New Year Ejada cheesy

At least you can wash your braids, I had flat plaits that I could not wash and I was getting rather uncomfortable so I managed to keep them in for two weeks only. . . . .

I will get braids in winter (I think) if I am over the trauma I went through the last time when I eventually cut my hair. . . . .

Nerd where are you girl? Madlady?
Hi SA Goddess, hope your well.

So you had flat braids, i think that's what i call cainrow

I did cut mine but it did not suit me, it made my flaws more obvious, I ended micro braiding it in the end. It's easier and cheaper to maintain ,saves me money now that i am between jobs.

drrionelli:
This thread encompasses two ideas:

1. What would you like to see happen in the year 2011?

2. What do you THINK will happen in 2011 that you don't wish to?

These can be on a personal level, or they can be more broad.

Thank you for your input!
1. That  I'm able to help my lipsrsealed get what  lipsrsealed needs/wants.

2. Unnecessary evil,to anyone, life is too short.

@oyinda the information on that site was eye popping. I had no idea it could be attributed to so many ailments. I just assumed it was lack of sleep, which I really need. I gave the tea bag tip a go, worked like a dream. A big thank you.

@Topic I didn't know men dislike spike heels.
