Kemi Was Completely Out of Line Let’s set the record straight: VP Shettima had every right to call Kemi out. His position as a Vice President and holder of the GCON title obligates him to defend Nigeria against baseless attacks, especially from someone who ought to know better. 1. Kemi’s Actions Were Unnecessary and Disrespectful • Kemi exercised her rights, yes, but with rights come responsibility. Criticism of Nigeria is valid when constructive; hers was neither. She chose to disparage the country in a manner that adds nothing to meaningful dialogue. This isn’t “free speech”—it’s self-serving drivel masquerading as activism. • If Kemi had a real grievance, she could have addressed it respectfully or through a forum where her opinions might foster solutions—not global embarrassment. 2. VP Shettima’s Role • VP Shettima didn’t respond as a private citizen throwing a tantrum. He acted as a defender of national dignity. It’s his duty to protect Nigeria’s image on all fronts. Criticizing him for doing what his office demands is misguided. • His response is a reminder that leadership doesn’t mean tolerating every baseless attack in silence. Nationalism isn’t a crime; it’s a virtue, especially when representing a country like Nigeria, often unfairly maligned on global platforms. 3. National Pride Isn’t a Joke • Using an analogy “If someone urinated on your sick mother, would you smile or fight for her dignity?”. Kemi didn’t merely criticize policies—she insulted the essence of her own country while benefiting from the privilege of being associated with it. If that doesn’t anger you, your sense of national pride is questionable. • Patriotism demands that we hold our leaders accountable while also defending our country. Kemi failed on both counts. Instead of raising valid concerns, she chose to demean. 4. Tribal and Feminist Excuses Are Baseless • The anti-feminism claim is an attempt to deflect from the real issue: Kemi’s actions, not her gender, were inappropriate. If Shettima asked her to drop her Yoruba name, she should disassociate herself without urinating on Nigerians willy nilly. Even that still pales in comparison to her public insults to Nigeria. Stop making strawman arguments to distract from her disrespect. 5. What About Other Countries? • If Kemi were from the USA and disparaged it with such venom, a leader like Trump wouldn’t let her breathe without a public takedown. Yet because it’s Shettima—a leader known for his measured approach—you question his response. Hypocrisy much? • Nigeria, like every country, deserves to be defended. Shettima’s critics often conflate patriotism with authoritarianism, which is intellectually dishonest. 6. Kemi’s “Worst Association With Nigeria” • The sheer disappointment in her behavior. People who benefit from Nigeria’s identity, directly or indirectly, have an obligation to protect it—not tear it apart for cheap clout. She represents the worst kind of national betrayal: one driven by ignorance and self-importance. • Your questions about why Shettima is upset reveal a lack of understanding of leadership responsibilities. He isn’t “pissed off” for personal reasons—he’s defending Nigeria’s image on the world stage. Kemi’s actions warrant criticism, not indulgence. • Instead of whining about Shettima’s response, ask yourself why Kemi felt entitled to insult her homeland while hiding behind foreign privileges. That’s the real issue. Kemi was wrong—entirely. VP Shettima was right to call her out, any Nigerian with national honors should follow suit. Criticism of a country should build, not destroy. Kemi’s actions achieved nothing but ridicule, and VP Shettima’s response was justified, necessary, and, frankly, overdue. I hope this answers your questions. An insult to One is an insult to All. Look at the attachment below, Kemi has been reported by her own staff to being a bully and 3 of her staff quit because of her inappropriateness at her workplace. Shettima has a fulfilling career in the banking sector, as governor and now VP. He is not the one known for bullying and work place toxicity.

"From her statements and actions she comes through as someone battling with internal demons leading to a crisis of identity, inferiority, cultural orientation, knowledge and education, and above all manners and etiquette." "An impulsive person with a propensity to speak before weighing what she has to say." "Mrs Badenoch’s erratic nature" "Badenoch has serially demonstrated a disgraceful level of uncouthness and unbelievable lack of manners and etiquette." "she wrote back in a silly and contemptuous manner saying rudely she had no time for Nigeria." "she denigrated Nigeria the land of her forebears by saying that she was glad to have escaped childhood in a land where she witnessed the horrors of daily living where ‘’lizards flowed from water pumps’’. "she was not contemplating doing a Public Relations job for Nigeria and that the country was full of thieving and corrupt leaders. The unkindest cut of all was her statement that she did not share any link with the northern part of Nigeria where the VP came from which was a haven for ‘’Boko Haram terrorists’’. Kemi is the worst thing ever to be associated with Nigeria. If Kemi was a White person, she is the type that would spit on black people on the streets on London with impunity. Nobody likes her, not her political party, not her staff, probably not even her own family with this toxicity and impulsivity.

yommen:Kemi is delusional, so many things wrong with the UK as well. Why not harp on those, as she keeps saying she is not Nigerian She is a self hating, self deprecating black person, with utterly low emotional intelligence and self awareness. Probably narcissistic as well.

Calitoscassius:People will mock you either way, trust me. I am sensitive to mental health. Thats why i didnt use the red ink, when i read your profile. |
DaddyJapan:At least someone else gets it. I understand. I just tend to call Emotional IQ. Thanks for the correction. I meant Emotional intelligence (EQ) which includes Self-awareness,self-regulation,internal motivation, empathy and social skills |
Calitoscassius:Combo of neurodivergent and bipolar is not to be mocked. I am neurodivergent myself. |
Calitoscassius:Just trying to help. |
Calitoscassius:That could worsen your mental health. |
Calitoscassius:What are you on ? Stemetil or prolixin ? |
DaddyJapan:No one has the exclusive right to malign others, while disguising it as saying the truth. Dont forget the real British people are actually known for being very polite, and even when saying displeasurable truths, have been known to be diplomatic. Kemi's Nigerian DNA doesnt make her British in any sense. She was talking like an agbero in mushin. We also have our truths about her and how much of a shitty job she is doing to address the numerous socioeconomic problems in the UK. |

1. BBC: “Kemi, how would you describe the effectiveness of UK policing?” Kemi: “Well, back in Nigeria, the police once extorted my family for simply driving home at night. Let’s talk about that instead.” 2. BBC: “What is your plan to address rising homelessness in the UK?” Kemi: “In Nigeria, people don’t even have pavements to sleep on. At least here we have infrastructure!” 3. BBC: “Kemi, are you concerned about growing NHS wait times?” Kemi: “Do you know how many hours Nigerians have to wait just to get treated at a public hospital? Let’s keep things in perspective.” 4. BBC: “What’s your take on rising knife crime in London?” Kemi: “In Nigeria, you’re lucky if someone doesn’t just bring a machete to a disagreement.” 5. You haven’t seen anything until you’ve lived in Nigeria, where everyone knows someone who has embezzled something!” 9. Kemi Badenoch’s penchant for criticizing Nigeria while turning a blind eye to the chaos unfolding on the streets of London is hypocrisy at its finest. In Nigeria, her finger-wagging is relentless, pointing at governance issues and economic missteps with an air of smug superiority. Yet, she remains eerily silent about the dystopian reality of her own turf—a city plagued by a pandemic of scooter thieves who snatch phones, watches, and handbags in broad daylight. London’s streets are not just unsafe; they’re symbolic of a system losing its grip. Where is Badenoch’s outrage at these criminals who operate with impunity, terrorizing commuters while law enforcement flounders? Instead of tackling the degradation of public safety, she sets her sights on Nigeria, a far easier target—revealing her as more of a bully than a reformer. And the dysfunction doesn’t stop there. The UK grapples with skyrocketing homelessness, with tent cities forming on its streets, a crumbling National Health Service leaving patients to languish, and endemic child poverty rates unthinkable in much of Africa. The systemic failures in her own backyard are glaring, yet Badenoch’s focus remains conveniently elsewhere. The narrative is clear: she chooses to attack Nigeria, not because it is more flawed than the UK, but because it’s a softer target, allowing her to feign moral high ground while avoiding accountability for her own malfunctioning system. If Badenoch wishes to critique, she should first address her nation’s embarrassing shortcomings rather than projecting her failures outward.

toprealman: Kemi has not even solved any of the numerous problems in UK. She should be discussing the homelessness, the crime, the scooter thieves in London, that are snatching phones and wristwatches on the streets of London. We will not tolerate her attempted deflection. She is a certified Idiot. Are you an Idiot as well ? |
just2endowed:They asked Kemi a question : What do you think about the Uk police ? Kemi: I think the Nigerian police is corrupt and they stole from my brother. Nobody asked her about Nigerian police, she turned the question around and answered with Nigerian police, go and watch the interview |
