just2endowed:Uk police are also corrupt. Kemi was elected to solve UK's problems. Kemi was not elected to focus on Nigeria's problems. Kemi is using Nigeria as a diversion because she is completely clueless about her job. |
toprealman:She was not elected to point out Nigeria's problems She was elected to solve UK's problems |
UK police steals and is also corrupt. Kemi was not elected to identify problems in Nigeria. Kemi was elected to solve problems in Uk. Kemi has not clue about her Job or what to do, she is deflecting by focusing on Nigeria.

A lot of negative reviews have been heaped on Kemi Bad-Enoch by british citizens online, in different fora. I am so proud of Vice President Shettima and Femi Fani-Kayode. Thanks for standing up for all Nigerians. If Kemi thinks she can say whatever she likes.......Nigerians will show her, we also have the same DNA with her. Fellow Nigerians, turn up the heat. Let this girl know we are not to be messed with. The opposition parties are already calling her "unpopular" in her home country and "unpopular" in the United Kingdom. |
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has told the leader of the United Kingdom, UK, Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, that Nigeria doesn’t need her. Fani-Kayode made the statement in a post on his X handle on Thursday. He said: “No you are not & neither do we need or want you to. You are however doing PR for the House Ni*gers Association & the racist, fascist scum that constitutes the far right wing of your adopted country. Do us a favour by shutting your foul mouth, dropping ‘Kemi’ as your name & changing it to ‘Aunty Jemimah’ instead.” The statement comes after Kemi replied Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, saying she stands by her remarks about Nigeria despite criticism that she is denigrating the country. Badenoch had allegedly described her upbringing in Nigeria as being overshadowed by fear and insecurity in a country plagued by corruption. Reacting to the statement, Shettima on Monday accused Kemi of denigrating Nigeria. Shettima spoke on Monday at the 10th Annual Migration Dialogue at the State House in Abuja. The Vice President went on to ask Badenoch to remove the “Kemi” from her name if she was not proud of her nation of origin. Replying Shettima, the Conservative Party leader reiterated her position on previous comments. She insisted that she was not doing PR for Nigeria.

Godwin4444: ![]() You don finish this guy....He will be pained Osu.... ![]() You be Osu abi you no be Osu ? Na simple question ? Zeuss |
1. Self-Sabotage as a Politician: • One of the cardinal rules of politics is understanding and consolidating your base. Badenoch’s comments alienate Nigerians, a group that, regardless of geography or ethnicity, could be critical in her political ascent. Her apparent disdain for Nigeria, while embracing her Yoruba heritage, reflects a lack of strategic foresight. • Politicians typically avoid divisive rhetoric that targets their own roots, especially when their heritage forms a key part of their public identity. This lack of awareness underscores her ineptitude. 2. Alienation of Diasporic Voters: • Nigerians in the UK, whether immigrants or descendants, constitute a significant voting bloc. By disparaging northern Nigeria and the broader national identity, Badenoch risks alienating a demographic that would likely support her based on shared heritage. • It’s a textbook example of political self-harm. Even if her statements resonate with a narrow segment, they harm her broader appeal. 3. Double Standards and Contradictions: • Badenoch’s attempt to selectively embrace Yoruba identity while rejecting broader Nigerian identity is nonsensical. Ethnic identity cannot exist in a vacuum, especially for someone in a global diaspora. Her argument sounds akin to saying, “I am part of London, not England,” an absurdity that undermines her credibility. • She later pivots, portraying herself as a “warrior” protecting her adopted nation, yet she does so by rejecting the very origins that shape her story. This hypocrisy makes her rhetoric seem more self-serving than sincere. 4. Ignorance of Cultural Nuance: • Badenoch’s remarks about northern Nigeria are inflammatory and reductive. By equating a region with extremism, she ignores the rich cultural, economic, and historical contributions of the north. It demonstrates her lack of understanding and sensitivity toward her own country of origin. 5. Unnecessary Antagonism: • Politicians thrive on unity and bridge-building, not division. Badenoch’s combative tone and dismissive attitude reflect poor judgment, especially given that even casual voters expect diplomacy and respect from leaders. 6. Global Perception of Nigeria: • Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, succinctly countered Badenoch’s dismissive stance by underscoring Nigeria’s global significance. His remarks highlight what she fails to grasp: Nigeria is a powerhouse of black excellence. Her denigration of this reality is not only shortsighted but deeply disrespectful. 7. Missed Opportunity: • Instead of using her position to champion Nigeria’s diversity and promote its global contributions, Badenoch reduces her identity to an insular narrative. This reflects not only intellectual laziness but also a lack of appreciation for her platform. Kemi Badenoch’s comments are a stark display of political immaturity and shortsightedness. Her rhetoric alienates a critical voter base, exhibits cultural insensitivity, and undermines her own heritage. Politics is about unity and strategic vision—qualities she appears to lack. Whether she acknowledges it or not, her Nigerian identity will always be part of her story. Running from it, or disparaging it, only diminishes her stature.

Skoonheid: They are paying some people in nairaland money to feature this kind of posts, This particular guy @botragelad, he is always bringing up only incitory posts like this and @nlfpmod will bring it to the frontpage. This one was written 2 years ago. Look at the date in my screenshot. But @nlfpmod decides to put it on frontpage after 2 years. This are just inciting actions to destabilize the security in Nigeria, we are not arabs we are not jewish but these people are trying to rile people up against each other. Not until the likes of the office of the National security adviser warns about these kinds of posts. I am sure he is paying them, there is now way we are reading an article from 2 years ago on front page in nairaland. |
Donchieli:I agree with above writer, the heading is different from the content of the post. And this article was written 2 years ago. Why are we Front paging such an old article. This is old and stale news. @mods @nlfpmod @op
