iamloyalty: I tried this and it came out wonderful next time i will substitute the garri with grounded corn.Tanks fot sharing.
Glad you tried and enjoyed it! Corn is a great substitute and comes out delicious too. If you are on the fitfam journey any healthy grains etc are great substitutes. I have also tried ground brown rice (ofada in naija).
This is so sad! I could NEVER break bread with anyone who eats dog meat. Dogs are the most domesticated of all animals with unparalleled loyalty. Sickening!
originally: caterers don't even go there when you ask them for suya among other delicacies to be prepared, but why?
Depends on the chef/caterer. There are lots of non-northerners who make suya, myself included. Granted, you are more likely to find Northerners making it, because it is their dish - just like you are more likely to find people from the South South and South East making Banga soup. However, there are exceptions to the norm.
This is something I will NEVER understand. I think it is so unnecessary. Not all animals should be eaten. To those who say it's no different than eaten cows and goats, it is different. Cows and goats have not been domesticated to the extent that dogs have. They are not man's best friend. When last did a goat save a man?
Of course, I am a dog lover, so let me just get out of here, before I start feeling sick. Imagine someone comes to your house and starts looking at your pet like food.
