President Muhammadu Buhari has
reportedly defeated the candidate of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku
Abubakar at his polling unit.
Premium Times reports that wild
jubilation broke out following the
announcement that President Buhari
scored 186 votes to defeat Atiku.
However, supporters of Atiku claimed
Atiku put up a remarkable showing despite
losing to President Buhari, adding that the
president has always won in the polling
unit in nearly all previous elections.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported
that President Buhari allegedly won his
polling unit, PU003 at Sarkin Yara ward A,
in Daura local government of Katsina
state.
The president scored 523 votes to defeat
Atiku who reportedly polled just three
votes.
The APC candidate for Katsina north
senatorial district, Kaita Baba-Ahmad,
however, lost the president's unit to
Accord Party's candidate, Lawal Nalado.
