If he loves his mom's cooking then tell him to pay his mother to cook for you all. She could cook in large quantities for you to store in the fridge or something. I am sure you have your hands busy enough with your professional cooking career to worry yourself about whether your food tastes exactly like his mom's or whether he complements you or not. I am certain you get more than enough of that from your customers, right? No need to make a big deal of his refusal to like or complement your cooking.

You talk this way cos u are not a woman and probably not married. I am a guy though and i want you to know that there is a feeling of rejection on display here as someones husband prefers his mum food. Cooking is a skill and one of the pre-requisite for approval as a wife before getting married so if her husband scores her low on that, ofcourse she will feel bad.
