THE CROSS-MANIA SERIES
Finale Méros

Hello! Happy Easter Monday! We have been on THE CROSS-MANIA SERIES since good Friday, Just a few thoughts I would love to leave with you even as we round up the series. Be blessed!

CELE-FLECTION

Right from time immemorial, I have known easter monday for celebrations, get together, wining and dining, church/family gatherings and the likes .But you see, even after all of these celebrations this season, I see “CHRISTIANS” wonderfully slide back into “lukewarm & part-time mode” form of Christianity automatically! Without even flinching! Lately, I began to ask myself  that don't “WE” understand and believe in the power, purpose and the place of the CROSS.
As Christians, we have been bought with a price! CHRIST paid it all! Because of the love the FATHER has for us, HE sent HIS only begotten son, CHRIST, to redeem and reconcile us back to HIM! He is our LORD and personal saviour. The victory CHRIST won has made us untouchable for the devil! Sickness, barreness, lack, sin and all sorts has been defeated! HE has all power in His hands.
Do you also know that the accomplishments of CHRIST on the CROSS is so great and overwhelming that it has also made U and I a partaker of the ABRAHAMIC blessing?(gal3:14&16). In other words, I am destined to be a blessing to nations,I am blessed beyond measure, beyond imagination, beyond what my human mind can fathom,  I am destined to FLOURISH like Abraham did. Wow! What an accomplishment of CHRIST on the CROSS . The law has been erased. GOD'S unending grace fuels our race now because  of the accomplishments of CHRIST on the CROSS. We are overcomers and victorious over the schemes of the devil! BUT you see, before u can be a “PROFES-SOR” of these things, you've got to have faith in, and also have an understanding of the power of the CROSS, and that of RESURRECTION. You MUST also have a relationship and regular fellowship with KING JESUS. Are u still in “luke-warm mode”, “Spiritually indifferent” as a Christian?  As you celebrate the resurrection of CHRIST this season, reflect; CELE-FLECT!(as u celebrate, ponder on the GRACE u have received from the work of JESUS on the CROSS). Also, Confess and Connect to the accomplishments of CHRIST on the cross for you. Christ has simply finished and conquered EVERYTHING(jhn19:30), and all we just need to do is receive by faith. HE absorbed the curse that we might be blessed(gal3:13-14). Hallelujah!
Lastly, no wonder Paul said in phillipians 3:10 “That I may know him and the power of His resurrection.......”. That means there definitely must be a “KNOWING” before u can experience the “POWER” inherent therein. Ponder on these things and ask the HOLY SPIRIT to reawaken your spirit-man. I pray your heart would yield to the work of the HOLY SPIRIT in jesus name! God bless you.

Hello! Happy Easter Sunday! I celebrate you!! A continuation of the series. Be blessed.

EULOGIZING THE RISEN KING!

According to divine election, he stepped into the world
Declared the son of God, He ruled in the affairs of men
Conquering all obstacles He journeyed to the cross
Selflessly filled with love, He laid down his life as a ransom for all
With closed eyes, he appeared in the other world
He entered courageously into the zone of death"fearless he was"
Shocked the devil was to see his foolishness displayed
He has been outsmarted by the only wise God in the plan of redemption.
He placed a demand on the keys of life and death
He made a public display of  the devil, heaven and earth been a witness,‎
He broke the chains of wickedness and without reservation he obtained the victory.‎
In a fierce battle, he emerged winner to prove his supremacy over all things.‎
He emerged our crowned king and ultimate saviour
He rose in victory, death couldn't place a hold on him
Truly he is the God of the living and not the God of the dead.
His reign is forever established by the Godhead

THE CROSS-MANIA SERIES
Méros 2

Hello! Happy Good Saturday. Just a few thoughts I would love to
share with u this season.

VANITY VANITUM -A SECRET TO KNOWING HIM

I'm very sure it is norms to come across messages about Christ's
death and resurrection at this kind of time because it is d easter
season. But it is dicey to take spiritual matters for norms. Our
anchor scripture Phil3:10 gave an expository quest of a man named
Paul whose total longing was bent on knowing Christ. Am trusting
God this write up will awaken a fresh thirst in you for Christ.
Paul who was known for his ungodly persecution of Christians
suddenly turned out to be an apostle for Christ. It will suffice to see
what Propelled his unequivocal thirst for Christ. Phil3:6-7
”concerning zeal, persecuting the church, touching the
righteousness which is in the law, blameless but what things were
given to me. Those I counted loss for Christ...” Here, Paul
recognised the vanity of his zeal, possession, his chain of friends,
his acumen of knowledge, his non-comparing talent et al. He
counted everything he had as dung, synonymously, he saw
everything as waste. Many of us are caught up in the rat race of
our pursuit at the expense of the true knowledge of Christ. It's
quite saddening that only few of the so called Christians are paying
attention to the work done on Calvary! Many have taken the love of
Christ for triviality and norms without an in dept knowledge of him.
Furthermore, Paul was not only interested in knowing Christ but
was also ready to experience the power of his resurrection. In 1Cor
15:17-18, Paul again tells us about the significance of Christ's
resurrection. HIS resurrection validates our FAITH! It is a mighty
proof of Gods ability to do the impossible and it is a transformation
from the state of few into the state of plenty! (JH 12:24) Many
believers are yet to die to the elementary spirit of the world. The
grip of the flesh still holds us down with great vigour. No wonder
the church which is suppose to be the center for therapeutics from
sin has rather become a tent for incurable hard hearted sinners
who wear the life jacket of grace to them afloat the pool of sin but
not ready to get out of such river! The first step to experiencing the
power of resurrection is the quest to know him. I know you want a
miracle BUT, knowing him bestows blessings! How I wish somebody
will climb on that sycamore tree of his possession, of his wealth of
religious experience, of his glorious beauty, of his ingrain talent
and make an attempt like Zacchaeus to meet and really know Jesus!
(Lk 19:14) Jesus is standing with HIS arms wide open ready to show
you the power of HIS resurrection if only you will make an attempt
to know him.

Who says the Church in Nigeria isn't Growing, & MATURING.
well let me just give u a typical example to explain this. It's Just like you giving a gun to a drunkard. For a Christian to access “POWER”, there must 1st be brokenness! That was what happened to apostle Paul. He was broken with the Damascus experience, and he NEVER remained the same. Lastly, church in Nigeria is actually growing and maturing. God bless you! smiley

THE CROSS-MANIA SERIES
Méros 1

Hello! Happy Good Friday. Just a few thoughts I would love to share with you this season, be blessed!

A COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST
On Palm Sunday, my twin sister and I were on our way to church, and so, as usual, we began our talks. I told her that when we reached church I would tell Pastor before rally begins that I would like to be Jesus; that would mean an ass would be prepared for me, and I would ride in glory during the rally and be given nice treat as Jesus was...
But her reply to me was not flesh-borne! I can even say it was Jesus Himself that I heard through her that day. She said: "David, if you will be Jesus on Palm Sunday, then you sure must be willing to be Jesus on GOOD FRIDAY!"
I was silenced!
You know why? I wanted the  glory that Jesus experienced, but I never wanted the suffering; and there is no true glory void of suffering. Paul said, Philippians  3:10:
"That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection..."
But he didn't stop there. Many of us are ready to experience the resurrection power, but leave out the key: "... and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;"
Paul is simply saying: "I want the power - it's good, but I don't want to stop there. I don't want to be an uncultured power-house!" Cos there is no greater risk than to give power to an unbroken entity. Knowing Christ is not complete in the power alone; it's complete when coupled with the process (the suffering). Jesus Himself never experienced the resurrection power without suffering, and for us Christians to experience that same power, we have to be PARTNERS with Him in His suffering. I'd like you to see it in the Message Translation:
"... so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself..."
Be careful! The word 'know' in this passage is from the Greek word 'gnonai', which means to experientially know or understand something. It's in this same sense that you will read "And Adam knew his wife." The 'know' is simply participatory; not one-sided since after all sex was never originally designed to be one-sided. In the same way, you can't experience Christ's glory without participating in His suffering; it's an intercourse, you have to experientially know it!
'Suffering' in the passage is 'Pathema' (a diminutive of 'Pathematon') in Greek, and according to Strong's concordance of the Bible, it means "Affliction which should always result in KNOWING God's glory." The suffering or Affliction is the key to the 'knowing'. So, if, like me, you really want to know Christ, and the power of His resurrection, you'd better be prepared for His suffering.
Don't be like the first-phase Peter who would go with Jesus up the mountain of transfiguration to see His glory, hail Him on His way to Jerusalem on an ass, with the people calling out: "You know that cute guy? That's Peter, one of His disciples," and with him probably enjoying how it feels to be with Jesus in glory! Your true worth is known when you are tested with His kind of suffering. When you are asked in a tough situation "Haven't you been with Jesus too?" (Mat.14:66-71)
This is an age where Christians should prepare for persecution of the worst kind. God permits the trials just to test your level of faith; your level of strength; your maturity! (James 1:2-4). If you fail in the day of adversity, your strength is small!
Let this Easter season prepare you for whatever may come your as a result of knowing Christ! Be prepared for anything!  This is DISCIPLESHIP  ‎
