Moments after being denied bail, three pro-Biafra agitators, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi, who are standing trial alongside the Director of Radio Biafra and Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Thursday, December 1, showed their true Biafran spirit.

As they made their way out of court, the three men fearlessly kept shouting “Biafra or Death, we are not Nigerians don't call us Nigerians,” in front of DSS agents, prison officials and their supporters.
This was after the Trial Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, declined to release the detained Nnamdi Kanu, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi on bail, citing the determination of an 11-count criminal charge the federal government had preferred against them.
While being led out of the court premises for Kuje prison, the trio of Onwudiwe, Madubugwu and Nwawuisi strongly told the operatives to stop calling them Nigerians but to call them Biafrans, adding that Nigeria is a fraud.

Many people have been wondering what could be the cause of the incessant tyre burst accidents on Nigerian roads. The major cause is that we put too much pressure in our tyres.

How did I know?

I was preparing for a journey, I changed some of my
tyres and I asked the vulcanizer that 'what is the
recommended tyre pressure?'

He said 50. I said alright, he should inflate it to 50 all round.

When I got to where I was going, I was discussing with
some people on the issue of the minister that died on
the road due to a burst tyre and wonder what could
have happened because nobody could imagine a
minister would be travelling with expired tyres as many would think is the major cause of tyre bursts.

A man (lived in US for many years) said that the major
cause of tyre burst in Nigeria is that we put too much
pressure in our tyres and that each car has recommended tyre size and pressure clearly written on it by the manufacturer.

*I was surprised and begged him to come and show me where it's written on my car. To my greatest surprise, it's by the drivers door which I enter everyday without noticing it.*


By the time we checked, the recommended pressure for my tyres is 32!

I just traveled with tyres on a pressure of 50! He took me round his compound and showed me that of the cars (which includes a jeep and a sienna) there, the highest was 32. Some were even 29!

He further explained that tyres are made of rubber and
expand at high temperature.

So, when you are travelling in the afternoon when the asphalt on the road is hot, the tyre will want to expand. If the pressure in the tyre is too much and wouldn't accommodate the expansion, a burst is likely to happen at that time.

Pls check the recommended tyre pressure for your
vehicle and others you know.

The unidentified couple who decided to rock the ‘made in
Naija’ river and not the international fancy beaches posed
completely naked in the river while taking the photos with

not.

In 2018, the issue of whether California should secede from the union could come to a head.
Yes California Independence Campaign, which calls for the state to become an independent nation, filed a proposed ballot measure with the Attorney General's Office on November 21.
If it garners the half a million signatures required to appear on the 2018 gubernatorial ballot, the measure would strike language from the state constitution that would help clear a path to secession.
The measure would also survey voters on whether a "Calexit" is something that interests them. If a clear majority declares their support for a Brexit-style departure, the state would hold a special election in March 2019 asking voters again if they want California to secede.
In a recent interview with Business Insider, Louis Marinelli, president of Yes California, described the plans as a "double opt-in" process.
Far-fetched as it may sound, Calexit started gathering steam as Californians came to terms with a Donald Trump presidency on November 9. The campaign became a nationwide social media trend in a matter of hours, but has since fizzled.
The movement initially found an impressive backer in Shervin Pishevar, a well-known angel investor. He took to Twitter on election night urging California to become its own nation and offering to bankroll a secession campaign. Pishevar has since walked back those claims.
“Yes California isn't giving up hope. It knows first-hand the challenges that lie ahead”
The difference this time is that Trump is headed to the White House, Marinelli said.
"I think that we've seen — in my lifetime — a gradual, but steady deterioration of the system and the health of the republic, basically. I think that at one point or another, it's going to crumble," Marinelli said. "I think a lot of Californians just came to that realization."
Marinelli warns that if the American public could vote a controversial nominee such as Trump into office, the presidential candidates who follow will push the envelope again.
"Who are they going to elect next time? I think the people in California would certainly not like to find out, personally," Marinelli said. "So, let's get out of that system so we can elect fair-minded, rational politicians to office."
In the unlikely event Californians vote to approve the ballot measure put forth by Yes California, the state would repeal one important sentence from the California Constitution. It reads, "The State of California is an inseparable part of the United States of America, and the United States Constitution is the supreme law of the land."

The Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) has directed its members nationwide to commence a one-month additional warning effect strike to commence from Wednesday, November 23 to protest the non-implementation of its 2009 agreement with the Federal Government.

According to ASUU, the strike action will be “total and comprehensive”, adding that while it lasted, there would be no teaching, examinations and attendance of meetings in any of its branches.

The union said it would be going on strike over part payment of salaries, non-payment of subventions and the inability of the Federal Government to provide funds for the revitalisation of public varsities, among other reasons.

The union also accused government of allegedly turning the establishment of universities into constituency projects to score a political point.

The National President of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, while unfolding the plans for the protest, at a press conference after its emergency National Executive Council meeting in Abuja, on Monday, said several efforts to get the government to respect the terms of their agreement had been unsuccessful.

Ogunyemi said, “Our members across the nation are worried that six months after the meeting with the minister of education and a series of letters to amplify the need to respect the spirit and letters of the 2009 agreement and the 2013 Memorandum of Understanding, there has been no tangible results of the issues raised.

“This failure puts ASUU leadership in a severe difficulty responding to enquiries from members of the union about the state of affairs in our engagement with the Federal Government. Following a nationwide consultation with our members, the NEC of ASUU rose from its meeting on Sunday, November 20 with a resolution to ;embark on a one- week warning strike starting from Wednesday November 23 2016.

“The nationwide strike action is total and comprehensive. While it lasts, there shall be no teaching, no examination and no attendance of statutory meeting of any kind in any of our branches.”

He also said the licensing of more universities by the National Universities Commission will not solve the challenge of quality education.
