Kanye West wants to run for U.S. president with former president Donald Trump as his running mate.

The rapper turned fashion designer recently declared his intention to run for president in 2024. Ye also revealed controversial alt-right commentator, Milo Yiannopoulo, is set to work on his campaign.

Despite the backlash over his many recent antisemitic and anti-Black statements, Kanye West is forging ahead, and has now decided upon a running mate.

The G.O.O.D. Music and Yeezy founder took to Twitter on Wednesday morning, November 23 announcing he had met with Trump, who was Ye’s opponent during his failed 2020 presidential campaign.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele on Tuesday said President Muhammadu Buhari will unveil newly designed N1,000, N500 and N200 notes on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
Emefiele made this known during the apex bank’s Monetary Policy Committee monthly meeting in Abuja.

According to him, the CBN won’t shift its deadline for all old notes to be returned to commercial banks in exchange for newly designed ones.

The CBN MPC also hiked monetary policy to 16.5% from 15.5% while all other parameters remained unchanged.

Emefiele had on October 26, 2022 said the apex bank will issue redesigned N200, N500, and N1,000 notes, effective December 15, 2022, while the new and existing currencies will remain legal tender and circulate together until January 31, 2023.

However, he made a U-turn on Tuesday, saying the CBN won’t wait till December 15 anymore as the President will unveil the new notes on Wednesday.

At least 600 of the hospital’s employees have left in the past year, according to Professor Abiodun Otegbayo, the chief medical director of Nigeria’s premier tertiary healthcare facility, the University College Hospital (UCH).

The news of the suicide of Martha has divided many with some, especially ladies faulting the husband for supposedly leaking the video of his pregnant wife in bed with the prophet.

Police detectives from the Idimu Division, Lagos State, have arrested a dog meat seller, Success Akpan, after a stolen dog was traced to his pepper soup pot, which he was already selling to his customers before he was caught.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Olorunsogo Street, Ejigbo area of Lagos, where Akpan operates a shop.

When the Akwa Ibom State born Akpan was caught, he claimed that he bought the dog for N12,000 from a seller, who was later identified as Abu and did not know it was a stolen dog.

The suspect, Akpan, landed in trouble after the seller, Abu, stole the dog from his mother’s tenant in Idimu, who had refused to pay his house rent.

He allegedly stole the dog and sold to Akpan before the information leaked and he was arrested. He was detained by the Police and told to bring the dog back.

It was during interrogation that the suspect, Abu, confessed and took the Police to Akpan’s shop. But before they got there, Akpan had already killed the dog and used it to prepare pepper soup.

Akpan was also arrested and detained at the station for conspiracy and stealing but he was said to have pleaded with the owner to resolve the matter by paying for the dog.

The bone of contention was that the owner of the dog insisted that he wanted his dog back but Akpan explained to him that he had already killed the dog and was selling the pepper soup before he was arrested.

According to Police sources, both Akpan and Abu will be charged before the Court if the owner of the dog continues to insist that he wants his dog instead of the N80,000 Akpan offered to pay in order to resolve the matter.

A Kenyan lecturer became furious and disappointed when he nabbed his wife having an affair with a student at a local hotel.

It was gathered that the man has been hearing of wife’s infidelity but there was no way to prove it, however, on one fateful day he got information that she was with her lover in a hotel room.

The lecturer stormed the hotel in Mosoriot, Nandi and caught her red-handed with a student simply known as Brian.
Local media reports that the man said his wife did not sleep at home the previous night while the young boy has been absent from regular classes during the day.

The young student is said to be studying at Kenyan Medical Training College where the lecturer works.

After catching them red-handed, the lecturer shamed called the attention of people and shamed his wife by taking photos and videos of them.

A photo which surfaced online showed Brian in only his underwear as he did not have time to put on his clothes when the lecturer barged into the room.

Arsenal and England star, Bukayo Saka, has helped fund 120 life-changing operations for children in Nigeria. Saka, 21, is preparing to take part in his first World Cup after earning a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad – but that hasn’t distracted him from matters elsewhere.

In co-operation with youth charity, BigShoe, the winger played a crucial role in medical procedures for children suffering from diseases like inguinal hernias and brain tumours in Nigeria.

Speaking on the matter, the 21-year-old said: “I feel blessed to be in a position where I can contribute to making children’s lives easier and better through these surgeries.

“I still feel very connected to Nigeria. For me, it is very important to use my abilities to have a positive impact where I can, and I have to say a big thank you to the whole BigShoe team for making this possible.

“For me, it is important that every child has the same opportunity to achieve their dreams. If I can do anything to help then I really want to do this, it was very important to me. It makes me happy when I can see the kids happy and their parents happy.

“I want to do more and more and help as many children as I can.’

The operations took place in mid-October and were a success, thanks to a team of five doctors who treated and looked after the children.

Kano is Nigeria’s second biggest city and it’s an issue that effects a lot of children in the area.”

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said he would support Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate in anyway he can to help him actualise his ambition.

Wike said he would provide logistics support during Obi’s campaign in Rivers State.

He made the pledge on Thursday at the venue of the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover inauguration in Port Harcourt.

The governor also declared that Obi has what it takes to become Nigeria’s president.

According to Wike: “Each time you want to campaign in the state, let me know, all the logistics support, we will give to you.”

Obi, his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, and some members of the LP presidential campaign team were in Rivers for the commissioning of the 9th flyover by Wike’s administration.

In the past few months, Wike has been interacting with chieftains of other political parties.

Wike’s action is not unconnected to his grievance with the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, following his defeat at the party’s presidential primaries.

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State on Wednesday apologised to a former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, saying he regretted working for the re-election of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State in September 2020.
Wike tendered the apology to Oshiomhole at the inauguration of the Rumuepirikom Flyover in the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the state which Oshiomhole commissioned.

“We are now friends, let bygones be bygones,” Wike told a smiling Oshiomhole.

Oshiomhole, who was Edo governor between 2008 and 2016, handed over to Obaseki who was then a member of the APC.

The two men, however, fell apart due to intra-party squabbles and Obaseki couldn’t secure APC ticket to return to office in 2020 gotten by Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
Obaseki moved to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and consulted with Wike as seen by his many visits to the Rivers governor’s residence.

He subsequently got the PDP governorship ticket and defeated Ize-Iyamu who was backed by Oshiomhole and other APC stalwarts including former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu and President Muhammadu Buhari.

Of late, Obaseki and Wike have been at loggerheads amid a crisis rocking the PDP as the former backed PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar whilst Wike continued to demand the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu as a precondition to support Atiku’s presidential ambition for 2023.

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has reacted to the recent attack against him by the incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo.
PREMIUM NEWS recalls that Soludo had on Monday, tackled Obi who happens to be his predecessor, saying he lacks the capacity to win the February presidential poll.

The development had generated backlash from supporters of the LP candidate who believe Soludo’s outburst was unnecessary.

Reacting, Obi, who spoke on Tuesday at the 2022 Lagos Business School (LBS) Alumni Conference in Lagos, said Soludo remains his brother.

According to Obi, “Soludo remains my brother, we are very close. I remain prayerful for him. For other things which I didn’t succeed, God has given him opportunity to do it and succeed.

“So, if there is anything pending, governance doesn’t finish, people are still in government in America, so you stop where you will stop, other people will continue from there.

“He is the governor of the state; he is my senior brother, he is even more intelligent than me because he is a professor, I am a trader, so he knows more and will be able to do things better than I am doing it.

“I have done my little own as a trader, now the professor is there he will do his own as a professor, the schools I didn’t roof he will roof them, that’s how government goes.”

Reacting to Soludo’s earlier comment that Obi’s investment on the state was next to nothing, the Labour Party candidate said, there are still proofs of his investment while serving as the state governor.

Making clarifications on the investment, Obi said, “The one they said is worthless, we invested 3.5 billion naira in International Breweries. That facility is there employing directly and indirectly over 10,000 Anambarians. The shares was at a time being sold at N50, today the shares is about N5 or so.

“When you spread your investment some will go up some will come down but overall the company is still there, the company is still doing well, it is still part of the global chain and everything. I needed to explain it not because I am defending comments by my brother.”

It is striking that three sisters who are pilots, and took after their dad in that regard, are billed to participate in the 2022 Lagos Women Run on November 12.

This year, the 10 km road race “will be going on a loop starting from TBS, towards Awolowo Road, Falomo Bridge through Olusola down and finishing at Onikan,” according to Tayo Popoola, the coordinator of the event. “We are expecting about 25,000 runners in the categories of the elites and the fun runners,’’ she said.

The event, which has a one-million-naira prize money for the winner, transcends sports. The organisers say it provides a platform for the advancement of women in society, and describe it as one of its kind among global races. Support from the Lagos State government underlines the significance of the race.

The participation of the Makinde pilot sisters, Mopelola, Oluwaseun and Oluwafunmilayo, is good for the women’s cause. As female pilots, they will be helping to send a strong message to encourage women, and especially girls, who continue to face challenges related to negative gender stereotypes in a male-dominated environment.

”As much as I want people to learn from me, that’s me pouring out. I also want to learn from others… I am looking forward to meeting other women in other sectors to also learn from them,” Oluwafunmilayo Makinde-Marcus, a corporate pilot, said. Other women whose careers can inspire womenfolk are expected to enrich the event. Perhaps the beauty of this unique road race is its power to empower females by inspiring them to soar above gender-based limitations created by the male-controlled society.

Female pilots are still rare, especially in Africa. In 2021, only six percent of pilots globally were women, according to the Ninety Nines International Organisation of Women Pilots, the oldest group of women pilots with about 6,000 members from 44 countries worldwide.

This shows why the pilot sisters are special. Oluwafunmilayo, in particular, is different. She is a fixed-wing pilot. Her father and two sisters are helicopter pilots. She is the youngest of her parents’ seven children who are all females.

“I would run out of the house when I heard the sound of a plane… it was so beautiful to behold,” she said in an interview. That’s how the dream started, “to be a pilot of planes specifically.” Her biggest inspiration was her mother who “encouraged me not to give up on my dream despite the odds.”

After earning a first degree in Computer Science at Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, she had a stint in the Fin Tech/ Technology sector before deciding on a career switch. She was relatively comfortable, she said, and many people who knew her were surprised, partly because she chose to move to the aviation sector. ”But a dream is a dream, and passion is passion,” she stressed. She went to flying school, and became a pilot.

Factors that contributed to her success include parental support, education, passion, determination, courage, and self-belief. This may well be true of her two sisters who are also pilots. Their stories are inspirational, and teach positive lessons.

The importance of education in the mix needs to be emphasised. On the International Day of the Girl Child on October 11, the United Nations notably observed that “Girls around the world continue to face unprecedented challenges to their education.” The situation is grave in Nigeria, which is said to account for more than one in five out-of-school children anywhere in the world.

The international body advocates engagement with government officials, policymakers and stakeholders ”to make more targeted investments that tackle inequalities experienced by girls.” It also calls for engagement with “key female influencers across industries to be the face of change we want girls to see as possible.”

The three pilot sisters can be seen as positive role models. It is commendable that they are playing a noteworthy role in advancing the women’s cause in Nigeria.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, on Friday defended his government’s decision not to approve the use of the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium for a Labour party rally in the state.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the Governor said the notice for approval arrived too late.

Mr Obaseki said the government received notice 24 hours to the event.

“The tracks for that stadium are still under warranty,” he said. “The pitch has to be maintained in a certain mould. So it’s not just another facility you can use without preparing.”

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Obaseki’s party, had used the stadium for a rally on October 22.

He said the PDP met the conditions for using the stadium.

“And the only reason why we allowed the PDP rally was because it was also used as an opportunity to commission that facility. Otherwise most other rallies are held in other large grounds around the city.”

Mr Obaseki said he was disappointed with the Labour party.

“I thought they were more serious,” he said.

‘We are on ground’
Many believe the government’s decision to refuse the stadium’s use for the Labour party was due to Mr Obaseki’s fear of Peter Obi’s rising political profile.

Mr Obi is the presidential candidate of the Labour party in the 2023 elections.

Mr Obaseki dismissed such an idea on Friday.

“They can show us virtually but not on the ground,” he laughed.

“We are on ground. We’ll see. It’s February 23rd.”

Huge turnout
Meanwhile, a large number of people showed up on Friday as Obi visited Edo state.

Mr Obi, who had been in Abia State on Thursday, said he was grateful for the reception.

“What an awesome and OBIdient crowd in Benin,” he said in a tweet. “I am deeply humbled by Edo people’s show of love and support.”

In Benin-City, Mr Obi visited the Oba of Benin.

Marvel Hazel: From Novice to FECAMDS(Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students) PRESIDENT(An interesting read)





You know how people say "I had a dream of becoming something, I worked for it and it came through'. I wish that was my story. I never actually dreamt of becoming FECAMDS president or holding any serious position. I had interest in the political affairs of medical associations, but I never really imagined becoming a serious player.

I just felt it wasn't for me. My parents stressed the importance of maintaining a low profile and doing your thing. I thought telling them I wanted to run for presidency wouldn't sit well with them.

Now let me tell you guys a story about my rise to becoming a bona fide FECAMDSITE and eventually leading the great association.

I didn't really know much about FECAMDS when I was in basic, rather I wasn't active until late 300 level. Dr Cynthia, a former president came to me personally, wooing me to attend a prayer summit hosted in Campus. Looking for ways to avoid attending, I told her I did not have money to pay for the programme. To my greatest surprise, she immediately opted to pay half of the fees. Omo, I knew immediately that this was 'God' calling me to join the FECAMDS family actively.

The prayer summit was a huge success, exposing me to students from other schools(Delsu, Uniben, etc).

I met the multi talented 'Fada Kay' for the first time in that programme and he truly inspired me.

A movie I watched in that event also helped me in making the decision to become fully active in FECAMDS. 'God friended me' is the name of the movie and y'all should check it out.

I became active in FECAMDS after the prayer summit and getting to clinicals, I wanted to be the next mission secretary. On the election day, a friend of mine who wanted to nominate me for the post of mission secretary got a call and left the auditorium(Omo, that kind thing). Last last, I didn't get mission secretary.

Taking a bold step, I asked the 'ELECOM' if I could nominate myself for a post. They granted permission and I nominated myself for Presidency(mad rai?).

Tbvh, I didn't even know the role of Presidency in FECAMDS at that time. All I knew was that I wanted to dedicate myself to God and serve FECAMDS to the best of my ability.

I got elected as president of FECAMDS. Yes, just like that.

Initially, I doubted my ability to do the work. Plenty plenty people told me I will end up killing the association. I prayed like mad for divine direction. I asked God to lead using me and my excos.

James 1:5 says "If any of lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him. This is exactly what I did.

So, quick advice, If you are clueless or confused about anything, just ask God for wisdom. He will direct you.

Also, the best way to know what's ahead is to ask those who have been there. I always asked the past presidents for advice and met with my Mentor and Alumni Dr Obasuyi, anytime I was in a difficult situation. God bless them.

Dr. Emmanuel(one time president of Fecamds) called me after the election and asked what I wanted to do for the Family. Trying to impress him, I said plenty things. He just told me "Make sure you increase the activeness of members". This shaped my whole tenure. Every project embarked on was aimed at increasing the activeness of members and bringing in new members.

Let me hype my administration small and list out some of our achievements;

1- We launched a website dedicated to FECAMDS (www.Fecamds-aau.com.ng)Students can get easy access to medical books, journals, materials, and other information about FECAMDS. Check it out today.

2- We started a magazine "The horizon". Dr. Cynthia is actually the vision bearer of this project. I'm happy we brought it to life during my tenure.

'The horizon' is an informative, educative and entertaining magazine that features interviews with top personalities, articles, riddles and jokes, etc. You can check it out here(www.Fecamds-aau.com.ng).

3- Following the vision statement of FECAMDS(prayer, mission and academics), Dr. Joachim(mission secretary) and Sis. Josephine during our administration organised mandatory 'prayer and fasting' at least once a month. We also organised village outreaches, Orphanage Outreach, hospital visits, secondary schools visits and others.

The academic secretary, Bro Great organized tutorials, mentorship programs and quizzes in the various classes. Airtime was awarded to winners. We held academic seminars and picnics which over 100 persons attended.

Mock exams were organised for classes preparing for exams. Scripts were marked, recorded and shared. Materials were also photocopied and distributed to FECAMDSITES in some classes for free.

4- We didn't allow the covid-19 pandemic prevent us from from doing God's work and wooing more people to join the family.

We created group chats for classes in basic and conducted quizzes regularly in order to encourage them to read harder. Gifts in cash and kind were also awarded.

5- We bought gifts for comrades who got married, sent Airtime to FECAMDSITES celebrating their birthdays and contributed a little token to our members who lost their loved ones(may their souls rest in peace)- Amen.

6- We organized 'graphics design' classes for FECAMDSITES who were interested in learning online skills. We did this to empower FECAMDSITES and give them a fresh source of income.

7- We organised zoom meetings with alumni in diaspora in an attempt to sharpen our mind on life after school especially those who wants to japa.

8- We were extremely transparent with our spending, accounting for every penny. God bless the financial secretary, Sis. Joan.

We did all these and more in an attempt to make the association very attractive to new members and we can see the result today. We raised an army in basic and my classmates became very active. Turning up for me.

It won't be fair taking all the glory. Sincerely, I was blessed with the best set of Excos. They sacrificed their time, energy and even money.

Great(academic secretary) never collected a dime for t-fare from FECAMDS for his numerous visits to basic. God bless you bro.

Ella(welfare secretary) would refund every penny remaining after any event and sometimes sacrifice her own money. God bless you sis.

Sis. Alice would leave everything she is doing and come to clinics for outreach, there was a time only me and she went for one outreach, it was impromptu and we needed to meet up with the national's deadline.

Dr. Cy(Ex-officio) designed the first FECAMDS AAU magazine for free. Her advice and unparalleled support kept me in the right track. She also made her jottings available to us for photocopying during exams which I did and distributed it to FECAMDSITES for free. God bless you Chief.

There was this bond FECAMDS had with CMDA during my tenure and it was as a result of my relationship with Bro. Daniel Asogun(CMDA president during my tenure). He acted as my elder brother and supported me in every way. He went as far as attending our programmes. God bless you bro.

The general secretary(Bro Sammy) added his money to FECAMDS donations anytime we donated in church. Thank you and God bless you sir.

The financial secretary(Joan) who always quizzed me anytime I needed to withdraw money. She made sure every dime was accounted for and well spent. Thank you sis.

The P.R.O (Bro Francis (current President)) is actually a selfless individual and a God bless to FECAMDS, he made sure information got to every crannies, he created an Instagram page for that and also made sure all important materials we needed to pass exams got to every member of our class. God bless you bro

My Chaplain, classmates, senior colleagues, Patrons and Alumni who believed in me, advised me, supported me financially and prayed for me throughout my tenure, I am truly grateful.

My beautiful Scientist Celebobo. You may be with the Lord but you are forever in our hearts. Your dedication to FECAMDS and support for me kept me going. May your soul rest in perfect peace Chief. Maybe one day, Mother Nigeria will stop eating her children.

Looking back, I wouldn't have dreamt of achieving all these things the day I got elected without the support of every FECAMDSITES. You all made it possible for this *NOVICE* to have a smooth and successful tenure.

The people who thought I would kill FECAMDS came back to apologise and commended my administration( The best feeling).

Being President of FECAMDS impacted my life positively in every aspect; making me more responsible and mature. I pledge to remain loyal to FECAMDS family and keep serving her in every possible way.

You know how people say "I had a dream of becoming something, I worked for it and it came through'. I wish that was my story. I never actually dreamt of becoming FECAMDS president or holding any serious position. I had interest in the political affairs of medical associations, but I never really imagined becoming a serious player.

I just felt it wasn't for me. My parents stressed the importance of maintaining a low profile and doing your thing. I thought telling them I wanted to run for presidency wouldn't sit well with them.

Now let me tell you guys a story about my rise to becoming a bona fide FECAMDSITE and eventually leading the great association.

I didn't really know much about FECAMDS when I was in basic, rather I wasn't active until late 300 level. Dr Cynthia, a former president came to me personally, wooing me to attend a prayer summit hosted in Campus. Looking for ways to avoid attending, I told her I did not have money to pay for the programme. To my greatest surprise, she immediately opted to pay half of the fees. Omo, I knew immediately that this was 'God' calling me to join the FECAMDS family actively.

The prayer summit was a huge success, exposing me to students from other schools(Delsu, Uniben, etc).

I met the multi talented 'Fada Kay' for the first time in that programme and he truly inspired me.

A movie I watched in that event also helped me in making the decision to become fully active in FECAMDS. 'God friended me' is the name of the movie and y'all should check it out.

I became active in FECAMDS after the prayer summit and getting to clinicals, I wanted to be the next mission secretary. On the election day, a friend of mine who wanted to nominate me for the post of mission secretary got a call and left the auditorium(Omo, that kind thing). Last last, I didn't get mission secretary.

Taking a bold step, I asked the 'ELECOM' if I could nominate myself for a post. They granted permission and I nominated myself for Presidency(mad rai?).

Tbvh, I didn't even know the role of Presidency in FECAMDS at that time. All I knew was that I wanted to dedicate myself to God and serve FECAMDS to the best of my ability.

I got elected as president of FECAMDS. Yes, just like that.

Initially, I doubted my ability to do the work. Plenty plenty people told me I will end up killing the association. I prayed like mad for divine direction. I asked God to lead using me and my excos.

James 1:5 says "If any of lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him. This is exactly what I did.

So, quick advice, If you are clueless or confused about anything, just ask God for wisdom. He will direct you.

Also, the best way to know what's ahead is to ask those who have been there. I always asked the past presidents for advice and met with my Mentor and Alumni Dr Obasuyi, anytime I was in a difficult situation. God bless them.

Dr. Emmanuel(one time president of Fecamds) called me after the election and asked what I wanted to do for the Family. Trying to impress him, I said plenty things. He just told me "Make sure you increase the activeness of members". This shaped my whole tenure. Every project embarked on was aimed at increasing the activeness of members and bringing in new members.

Let me hype my administration small and list out some of our achievements;

1- We launched a website dedicated to FECAMDS (www.Fecamds-aau.com.ng)Students can get easy access to medical books, journals, materials, and other information about FECAMDS. Check it out today.

2- We started a magazine "The horizon". Dr. Cynthia is actually the vision bearer of this project. I'm happy we brought it to life during my tenure.

'The horizon' is an informative, educative and entertaining magazine that features interviews with top personalities, articles, riddles and jokes, etc. You can check it out here(www.Fecamds-aau.com.ng).

3- Following the vision statement of FECAMDS(prayer, mission and academics), Dr. Joachim(mission secretary) and Sis. Josephine during our administration organised mandatory 'prayer and fasting' at least once a month. We also organised village outreaches, Orphanage Outreach, hospital visits, secondary schools visits and others.

The academic secretary, Bro Great organized tutorials, mentorship programs and quizzes in the various classes. Airtime was awarded to winners. We held academic seminars and picnics which over 100 persons attended.

Mock exams were organised for classes preparing for exams. Scripts were marked, recorded and shared. Materials were also photocopied and distributed to FECAMDSITES in some classes for free.

4- We didn't allow the covid-19 pandemic prevent us from from doing God's work and wooing more people to join the family.

We created group chats for classes in basic and conducted quizzes regularly in order to encourage them to read harder. Gifts in cash and kind were also awarded.

5- We bought gifts for comrades who got married, sent Airtime to FECAMDSITES celebrating their birthdays and contributed a little token to our members who lost their loved ones(may their souls rest in peace)- Amen.

6- We organized 'graphics design' classes for FECAMDSITES who were interested in learning online skills. We did this to empower FECAMDSITES and give them a fresh source of income.

7- We organised zoom meetings with alumni in diaspora in an attempt to sharpen our mind on life after school especially those who wants to japa.

8- We were extremely transparent with our spending, accounting for every penny. God bless the financial secretary, Sis. Joan.

We did all these and more in an attempt to make the association very attractive to new members and we can see the result today. We raised an army in basic and my classmates became very active. Turning up for me.

It won't be fair taking all the glory. Sincerely, I was blessed with the best set of Excos. They sacrificed their time, energy and even money.

Great(academic secretary) never collected a dime for t-fare from FECAMDS for his numerous visits to basic. God bless you bro.

Ella(welfare secretary) would refund every penny remaining after any event and sometimes sacrifice her own money. God bless you sis.

Sis. Alice would leave everything she is doing and come to clinics for outreach, there was a time only me and she went for one outreach, it was impromptu and we needed to meet up with the national's deadline.

Dr. Cy(Ex-officio) designed the first FECAMDS AAU magazine for free. Her advice and unparalleled support kept me in the right track. She also made her jottings available to us for photocopying during exams which I did and distributed it to FECAMDSITES for free. God bless you Chief.

There was this bond FECAMDS had with CMDA during my tenure and it was as a result of my relationship with Bro. Daniel Asogun(CMDA president during my tenure). He acted as my elder brother and supported me in every way. He went as far as attending our programmes. God bless you bro.

The general secretary(Bro Sammy) added his money to FECAMDS donations anytime we donated in church. Thank you and God bless you sir.

The financial secretary(Joan) who always quizzed me anytime I needed to withdraw money. She made sure every dime was accounted for and well spent. Thank you sis.

The P.R.O (Bro Francis (current President)) is actually a selfless individual and a God bless to FECAMDS, he made sure information got to every crannies, he created an Instagram page for that and also made sure all important materials we needed to pass exams got to every member of our class. God bless you bro

My Chaplain, classmates, senior colleagues, Patrons and Alumni who believed in me, advised me, supported me financially and prayed for me throughout my tenure, I am truly grateful.

My beautiful Scientist Celebobo. You may be with the Lord but you are forever in our hearts. Your dedication to FECAMDS and support for me kept me going. May your soul rest in perfect peace Chief. Maybe one day, Mother Nigeria will stop eating her children.

Looking back, I wouldn't have dreamt of achieving all these things the day I got elected without the support of every FECAMDSITES. You all made it possible for this *NOVICE* to have a smooth and successful tenure.

The people who thought I would kill FECAMDS came back to apologise and commended my administration( The best feeling).

Being President of FECAMDS impacted my life positively in every aspect; making me more responsible and mature. I pledge to remain loyal to FECAMDS family and keep serving her in every possible way.

A man has confessed to setting his step children ablaze.

According to TheNation, Mr. Joseph Ojo, the man who set his five step-children ablaze said that he carried out the action because the children joined their mother to beat him.

Ojo said he has been married to four women and had 10 children.

He spoke when he was paraded at the police headquarters in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Ojo, who denied strangulating his first wife, said he was starved of food even though he provided money.

According to him:-

“I am 64 years old. I have married four wives. I did not strangulate my first wife. I have 10 children from different women. The one I married last, if I give her money and she buys food, she does not give me food. She does not wash my clothes. She always fights me. We have been together for two years. She and her children used to fight and beat me. They are always fighting. She does not fetch water for me. She fights the whole street. She always fight me alongside her children. They always beat me.

“We fought the day I set the children ablaze. We do not use to quarrel over sex. Everybody in the street knows the children used to beat me. We fought the night I set them ablaze.”

Police said Ojo kept his twins in another room before carrying out the act.

Ondo Police spokesman, SP Fumilayo Odunlami, said Ojo told police interrogators that he gave his wife N600 but he was not given any food the night he carried out the act.

Odunlami said three of the children have died.

She said the suspect would soon be charged in court.

Man arrests girlfriend for aborting their unborn child’s pregnancy without his consent.

A Nigerian man recently had his girlfriend arrested for performing an abortion without his permission.

Ossai Ovie, a Facebook user who shared the story, said the man has been quiet since his arrest, despite the girl’s family’s plea for her release.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has said he won’t be forced to attend national debates.

This comes after the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi among other parties faulted his absence at the Ariste TV town hall meeting in Abuja.

Tinubu said Atiku’s camp could not force him to appear or send representatives to national debates.

He berated Atiku’s camp for following his absence at national debates.

Recall that a spokesman of the Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign team said Tinubu was afraid of being exposed; hence his refusal to attend national debates.

However, the APC presidential candidate said he would not be “railroaded” into appearing for media debates.

Tinubu disclosed this through his Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga.

“The more absurd of the two positions was the one canvassed by the spokesperson of Atiku/Okowa campaign. The PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar didn’t also attend Arise News Town Hall Meeting.

An American mental health counsellor, Dr. Jeffrey Guterman, has described the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, as a “zombie”.

The World’s richest man and Twitter boss, Elon Musk has stated that users engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying it as a parody account will be permanently suspended.

According to Musk, Twitter previously issued a warning before suspending accounts, but henceforth there would now be no warning.

An airplane belonging to Tanzania's Precision Air crashed into Lake Victoria on Sunday, November 6, 2022.


According to Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC), the plane was about to land at Bukoba Airport in Northwestern Tanzania but due to the poor weather conditions, it crash-landed into the lake.


The passenger plane had departed Dar es Salaam to Bukoba, a two-hour flight according to Precision Air social media handles.
TBC said 15 people had been rescued so far from the Precision Air jet but it was unknown how many passengers were on board or whether there were any fatalities.



The news reports show photos of the plane mostly submerged in the lake and say rescue operation is underway.
Bukoba Airport is on the shores of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake.
