I have witness a situation where an Igbo guy who has been cohabiting with an Igbo lady for almost 10 years without any bride price and they had 3 children. when de lady fell I'll and died, all de children where taken from de man because de children belong to de gal and her family. In order to claim de children, de man had to marry de lady's corpse b4 she was buried.
My dear op, I think b4 u complain, u shld try to find out de ways and culture of de Igbo pple. if u like have 20 children with an Igbo gal without paying her bride price, just bear in mind dat in de eyes of de Igbo man, those children are not urs.
It has absolutely ntng to do with de fact dat Ur uncle is not an Igbo man cos trust me even if Ur uncle is an Igbo man, same will be done to him. #saynototribalism#

whether we admit it or not, family is important when getting married. She shld try as much as possible for her parents to accept de man she wants to marry and give them their blessings. I knw it will be hard or almost impossible, am an Igbo gal and I understand dis OSU ish. That thing can mess up Ur life and hurt Ur own children but at least with de blessings of her family, it will be easier
