What you suggested doesn't align with my thought in anyway, I just expected him to stay away from political issues and just be neutral.

PoliticsRe: Joe Igbokwe: "10 Reasons I Insist Some Nigerian Youths Are Lazy" by Man2utd(m): 11:02am On Apr 21, 2018
Even the bible said if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do, the problem didn't just start today, its been there for a long time and was created by those before us, the challenge right now is to chart a new course and move beyond blame game. If you think government is the problem, then get into government and provide the solution. What we need right now are game changers. Lagos and Abuja are among the poorest cities to live in according to a report I saw yesterday and this is where majority of the money generated in the country goes to. This shows you there is a problem somewhere.

The trillion dollar question. Nigeria is currently GIGO with few exceptions which are a minute number compared to the docile majority.
So you see the whole issue is complicated.. But am sure there are people who can make a difference...
PoliticsRe: Are Nigerian Youths Actually Lazy? by Man2utd(m): 4:24pm On Apr 19, 2018

whatever the governments both past and present have done were allowed by the youth who form the major parts of the population. the youth should take responsibility and take back the country by carefully [b]selecting those with track records among them to lead. i am not talking bout noise makers, i am talking about those who started things on their own with no corrupt background and see if this country won't move forward.
Nice point, but do we have youths that can fill this positions?
PoliticsRe: Are Nigerian Youths Actually Lazy? by Man2utd(m): 1:36pm On Apr 19, 2018
rusher14:
Some of us know you simply choose to be mischievious.

Did he say ALL youth of Nigeria are lazy?

Besides semantics, I put it to you, the Nigerian youth do not display enough creativity.

How much research, patents, world class artistic work would you find in our institutions?
Let me guess..that's government's fault.

Ok let's go to the number of our young people who have access to the internet. How many are involved in programming, animation, international research syndicates?

Let me guess...that's the government's fault.

Here on Nairaland, start a topic with a misleading headline and wait to find how many would spot the disconnect between the headline and the body of the message.

Let me guess... it's the government's fault.

The youth of Nigeria are lacking in creativity and please don't give me Nollywood and Afro music. It can take only a few entrants.

We need people who want to create and constantly think of solutions.

We need people who channel their energy positively and not in cult activities, Yahoo or drug use.

Talking about drugs, this poor nation is experiencing a new wave of drug abuse...tramadol, codeine, skunk etc.
That's what the nation is about.

Many Nigerians are of the misconception that the country is rich but the reality is that we aren't.

Yes we have the potential to be wealthy, but we are a poor nation in every way, shape or form.

It is your choice to accept the criticism.

You can go renegade and discount it.
It is your life, your future. Play it as you wish.
As much as I want to agree with you on the points stated above, the government also has a major role to play, I have always stated this point and I will state it once again, how many of our roads and bridges are constructed by Nigerians, and we graduate thousands of civil engineers every year. Buhari himself was sick and went to seek for medical help abroad, that's because he doesn't trust the Nigerian doctors. The issue of research, a sensible government will give research grant, to encourage people to engage in research or how do you expect a hungry person to think.

Four years is enough to lay the foundation, 8 years wouldn't be enough for a man who doesn't know where his going.

Yes we can. But he should come forward and present himself and tell us all we need to know, Sowore is doing his own part as well.

But let me tell you this. What I expect most from sowore is to gather people like him in every senatorial districts in Nigeria and contest for the post of Senator. If we don't change those idiots in the NASS where 60% are former governor, we are heading no where in this country
But one thing I know is that he is ready to engage the populace unlike those that shy away from debates.
Basically we even need him to provide the cabinet members before the election.

adem30:
You also have a point, but my question to you is, Who should we Vote for? Yes, Buhari is old but who shall you present

Give us a better candidate to change our mind. We have been hearing Buhari should not contest, Don't vote for Buhari..... But yet to see that candidate to vote for apart from Buhari.
Can't we have someone like Fela Durotoye, who has been the only candidate that has shown interest, who seems like an outsider to government.
PoliticsRe: All Said, Why Should I Vote Out Buhari? by Man2utd(m): 11:10am On Apr 17, 2018
Campaigning on a higher ground... although he made some valid points, and Buhari has contributed his quota, but we need to move beyond him and even beyond PDP.

I pity the government.
Their military strength has been depleted.

Imagine how much they will pay out as compensation to the families of the victims.
Such a waste of good money.
This your school of thought is not fit this age.
