ikorodureporta:That is why the housing construction industry especially property developers need to adopt the use of Drones for surveying their proposed property. The data quality is much better and it will not only provide survey data, it will also provide 3D data that can be used for land clearing, cut and fill and design of the estates. I hope someone here understands this solution i'm proffering. Hit me up if you need more info. |
Ayhomes:How do you advertise land and properties for sale without any maps to show location of the property? The ability to locate your properties on a map will help people abroad make better decisions on whether to buy or not. |
Pls ask him to choose Geography. Geography has more applications, while URP is limited to planning. With Geography, he can go into Cartography, GIS, Information Technology, Hydrology, Geo informatics and many other fields. Work prospects are also quite better for Geography majors, if you specialize. You can work in Oil and Gas, Surveying, Engineering/Planning, Data collection and development. You can also work in the IT field. I am talking from experience because i have applied myself in these areas with a B.SC in Geography and a masters in GIS. |
I don't ever comment on NL but this guy's question has just really pushed me to my limit. I don't think you know anything about Nigeria because if you do, you don't need anyone's advice on why you should relocate to Nigeria. I am also in the US and believe me if you have something tangible you are doing here you can easily translate that to anything in Nigeria, if you think well. I just concluded that you ain't doing much here in the states, and pls stop wasting other people's time with such questions. It isn't fair and isn't a good use of thread space. How did this topic even make frontpage! |
http://gis.lagosstate.gov.ng/LAGIS/WebPages/Map/MapViewer.aspx Has anyone seen this? I think its's pretty impressive, if you know how to navigate the map viewer. however, I have a question. Does anyone know this data can be accessed digitally from the state? Please, I need only serious answers, !!!! Thanks. |
