Hope we are all fine, on behalf of cappo rubyzz. Just thought to check on us all by updating our list and also beg MIA mamas and the peeping mamas to respond and update us.
It shall all end in praise for us in Jesus name.

Peeping mum responding. We are all good,just waiting to offload. This is one journey I can't wait to end. No honeymoon period at all... Still suffering morning sickness, sleeplessness, lack of appetite, no cravings, change of skin tone, fear of the unknown etc. Ha! This baby has done me strong thing. I am still on my pre-pregnancy weight - 68kg.
In all, I still thank God for bringing us this far. I just hope the hyperactivity LO is displaying already in the oven is not an indicator of more stories to tell when she finally pops out. And yes, it is a girl. Update sex abeg.

Frequent urine and turning around when sleeping are sure bankers, no escaping that

My dear, I can't really say if mango don show. I ve not gone to the market since the Xmas shopping,but I saw some mangoes being sold even back then. Though it was the yellow/red variety which I don't eat, I calculated that mangoes should be fully in the market by now.

Make we start our countdown to mango massacre...

21wks and counting. Sex still unknown cuz hubby wants to be with me when we see LO( Oga doesn't know he is wasting my time). We ve set a date in Feb to meet our LO formally.

I didn't vomit for the first time yesterday(someborri shout hallelujah). I just hope it stays that way cuz I am eager to begin the mango season. Mango must not pass me by at all. The new issue is backache and insomnia,which explains why I am typing beside a snoring hubby at 3:00 am.

Maybe I should disturb this man,after all we are in this together. How can he be sleeping peacefully and I can't ?

Who else feels this dull ache below the bump,especially after urinating? Or am I alone on this?

Story time.


So, I want to share with y'all something that happened to me yesterday. Just thinking about it still gives me goosebumps of what might have been. Indeed God is good.

On Sunday evening,hubby took down the curtains in a fit of sudden energy ( to me,he was only showing himself cuz he is as lazy as f.uck ). He washed them and put them out to dry. Due to the harmattan, all, save one, was dry within three hours. Both of us were too lazy to go out that night to go bring in the last curtain,which was even strange to me cuz I never leave my stuff outside overnight,no matter what. Na so we leave am for line. I don already plan say I go blackmail am to help me bring it in right before he leaves for work.

Fast forward to yesterday's morning, I made his breakfast and felt the urgent urge to go and get the curtain. While he was still getting dressed, I walked outside. As I got closer to the cloth line, I heard a sound coming from hubby's car. I moved closer and traced the sound to his tire. Air was leaking out of his tire. I took what I came out for and went back inside. I alerted him on what I saw and he rushed out to check. When he came back,he told me someone had deliberately punctured his air valve to let out the air. He even saw the cover of the tube right beside the tire. I immediately went cold all over. My husband is someone that doesn't even check his car condition before jumping in to go to work. He just opens his car, starts it and fiam! He moves. He would have unsuspectingly entered his car, driven on his usual speed of 120km/h on the highway and had a serious accident. God forbid!

The scary thing is that the villain who did this timed it so well. It happened just before I came out,which is the usual time my hubby actually leaves for work. But yesterday, I started my wahala and delayed him.

My reason for sharing this, is that most times we assume our enemies are our family members,relatives or even colleagues at work. If something had happened to hubby,I would have been cursing my village people. But I had no idea someone who lives right in my compound means me and my family harm,to the extent of trying to kill my hubby physically.

Mamas, this is our most vulnerable time. That time when we go through the valley of the shadow of death to bring into this world a new life. Don't take anyone for granted. This is the time to go on your knees and pray hard cuz that smiling face who always ask of your welfare and baby's might just be wishing you harm. We should be alert physically and spiritually. The heart of man is desperately wicked. Up till now, I don't even have a suspect in mind.
Note that all this happened before 6:30am.

Curvilicious i remembered vividly the day u mentioned ur dream in TTC thread how u were told u would have a son and his name will be John. The name got stuck on u and it came to pass, indeed our God is great. Congrats sis, so very happy for u.

Safe delivery to all remaining mamas and I pray for our TTC mums that God will answer their prayers.

Still vomiting,though less than before. My belle don big, and gosh! It feels so tight. As for kicks, I am not sure about that one. I don't know if what I feel is bowel movements or baby movements . 20w1d and counting. This journey must end in praise.

@all i just got another container of folic acid and B co. 100pieces each which will last another 3Months. That is the only drug i plan taking till delivery i hope that is ok? and also, pls how safe is drinking cold and ice water in pregnancy cos that is the only water my body accepts for now cant even try sipping warm water cos it irritates me. People that see me drinking the chilled water always preach to me that it is not good for my condition please how true is it?

Our Nigerian people have misgivings about chilled water being taken during pregnancy. As early as 6weeks, I couldn't swallow warm and tepid water. Ice cold water was my only salvation. Omo,I had to turn to google to help my case. I discovered that cold water is a no biggie in foreign climes. In fact, women in labour are given ice chips to suck on right there in the delivery room. Since then,I no send anybody. I chew and suck on my ice cubes. I even discovered that drinking water in a gulp makes my nausea worse but sucking on large numbers of cubes serves the same purpose of getting water into my system but at a slower and easier rate.

Anyway,to each his own. I cannot come and kill myself for oversabi aprokos.

You should have started using folic acid by now. Doctors and sabi mamas say it is important for the formation of the baby,especially at the early stage. You know,to prevent birth defects and ish.

Bitter leaf juice stimulates the uterus anything that stimulates the uterus is not advisable in early pregnancy. Chew the biscuit bones instead and please don't drink the salt and maggi.

Pls bitter leaf is a no no during pregnancy unless to aid labour which at full term,you can Google it cos that's what I saw there.
Calcium is needed and its better you chew the bone but I don't know if it's helps with MS.
MS is part of the package though other mamas will chook mouth but mine wasn't severe,so I endured it. Feeling better in second trimester now.

Good evening, Mamas in the house. I trust you all had a splendid weekend. Please I have some questions and I need a general opinion on them.

My hubby complained to his mum about my severe MS and she gave me some pointers on how to minimize it. She said I should wash bitterleaf and drink the water morning,afternoon and night, or chew the washed leaves as an alternative. Also,she said I should get biscuit bones,boil with salt and maggi, and drink the stock to give me the needed calcium nutrient.

Abeg,do I go along with this advice? Are there harmful effects especially the bitterleaf part? I am 12 weeks+

DH and kid bro were just in the next room and they could hear everything. Mumsy stayed by my head side, even though her doctor colleague kept asking her to leave. She just wouldn't buldge. All was set and someone was asked to pray. Meanwhile, I had requested for the type where I could watch things happen, but the doctor said no way! I was too curious and wouldn't let him work freely. Remember that we had some sought of relationship and I was really worried if he would be able to deliver.

So they started praying, and that was the last thing I remembered. Then I began to have all kinds of dreams that I couldn't explain. Then I would come back to the subconscious and hear myself groaning. I could hear mumsy by my head side holding my head and consoling me. Then I would zoom off to my inexplicable dreamland. Mum said that I would start groaning when the anesthesia began to wear off, and then some more would be given.

My baby was brought out and guess what? Her cord was tied into a tight nut. This was where she got her food from, and was breathing through, so how come it was tightly nutted and she was still alive?
The surgeon said in all his years of practice, he had never seen a baby survive with a nutted cord.

Secondly, her amniotic fluid was totally exhausted, yet my overcomer baby was still alive and kicking.

Then, even though she was positioned head down, she was going to come out with her face. Like, her face was supposed to face the anus, but it was facing the veejay. Natural labour would have been really stressful, and considering the nutted cord and finished amniotic fluid, who knows how long more she would have survived the stress?

Forthly, fibroids were brought out of me. As in NINE FIBRIODS! Two mighty ones and seven smaller ones. I was initially scared and suggested that they shouldn't touch the fibroids that were seen in scan cos of loss of blood like I read on this thread. Remember that my PCV was already low. Imagine more loss of blood...

My dh was called in to see the fibroids while doctor was still working, and the guy almost fainted. He had to be taken out immediately. Doc then asked mum to call dad since hubby no get liver.
Dad came in, saw all the fibroids and walked out without saying a word.
Guyman had stepped into the next room and was weeping! Like real tears.
Mumsy followed him out since he didn't say a word only to meet my old man in tears. He was like, so all those things were in my daughter and she was still able to conceive? And the baby survived all the toxic environment and still came out 3.8? That he was shedding tears of joy.

Mum came back to me in the theatre and they finished up. I was shuffling between the subconscious world and the unconscious. I knew when I was being lifted back to my room. Gradually I came through. When I could talk, I simply asked dh, boy or girl? He said girl and I immediately slept back. They brought her picture to me and all I could see were pink lips.
She came out so hairy that anyone who saw her was just ogling. One said that was the reason for my consistent heartburn.
I could see dh all over her, from her skin colour to her hair and even facial features.
It really did end in praise, and my testimonies are unquantifiable.

The only thing now is, since yesterday, I'm not being allowed to even taste water till I fart. Me that was Queen of Farts in my pregnancy is using torchlight to find it now.
Baby farted one big one and I asked her to dash me.
You people should help me beg God to dash me fart so I can at least take water and feed my girl. I don't even need food, just fart...

It was purely the wonders of God as fluid was completely dried.
Mummy and baby alive and well, Daddy over the moon with ecstasy, grandparents rejoicing over the new title

To the mama dat complained about palpitation,ur doctor tried by telling u about ECG but he should av at least checked ur BP,Pulse rate and do a chest examination.
Also,asked ur if it’s accompanied by other symptoms like(tiredness,sweating,breathlessness,chestpain and also ask if u av any underlying medical condition.
U need to observe the palpitation to know if it comes at rest or during activities.

However,aving palpitation in pregnancy could b as a result of increased blood volume(there’s increase in the blood volume to hlp the baby develop n grow so the Heart pumps faster to move the extra blood through the body)and dis usually occur towards 2nd n 3rd trimester,stress,panic attack or hypertension or any other cardiological related illness,hypoglycaemia,low PCV can cause it.

About ECG,it’s not a biggie,it’s not a scan but rather an electrical process of monitoring the electrical activities of the Heart by making use of electrodes(wire).the electrodes are connected to some specific part of the chest,wrist and ankle and within 5-10 u r done.
Ur doctor Wil interpret the result of the ECG if dere’s any issues.
