Unfortunately, the banking industry is the only sub-sector where the share price has never traded at its fair value.
The reason is largely due to the exaggerated cost of running the business. The CEOs are overpaid and bloated with cash — essentially living with a financial 'pot belly'

Foreign AffairsIsrael Eliminates Top Iranian Intelligence Officials Just Days After They Replac by Mankind2024(op): 6:04pm On Mar 14
Fox news

Israel eliminates top Iranian intelligence officials just days after they replaced their slain boss.
Israel’s military announced Saturday that it killed two intelligence officials who “were close to the leadership of the Iranian terrorist regime,” just days after they were appointed to replace their slain boss.

The Israeli Defense Forces said on Friday, “the Israeli Air Force, acting on precise IDF intelligence, carried out a targeted strike in Tehran and eliminated Abdollah Jalali-Nasab and Amir Shariat, senior officials in the Intelligence Directorate of the ‘Khatam al-Anbiya' Emergency Command, which is directly subordinate to the leader of the Iranian terror regime.”

“Following the elimination of the head of the Intelligence Directorate, Saleh Asadi, during the opening blow of Operation Roaring Lion, Jalali and Shariat were appointed to replace them," the IDF said, describing the operation that began on Feb. 28.

"The two senior intelligence commanders were key figures in the Iranian intelligence community. In addition, both were close to the leadership of the Iranian terrorist regime,” according to the IDF.

“The intelligence branch of the ‘Khatam al-Anbiya' Emergency Command is responsible for analyzing intelligence. The intelligence is presented to senior officials in Iran’s security system during frequent situational assessments, on the basis of which the war against the State of Israel is conducted,” it added.

PoliticsNo More Waiting For Peter Obi Or Any Saviour – The Real Truth About Nigeria's F by Mankind2024(op): 6:40am On Mar 14
No More Waiting for Peter Obi or Any Saviour – The Real Truth About Nigeria's Future Starts TODAY.
Let us face one fundamental truth: no one from outside will come to build the Nigeria we dream of.
For far too long, we have waited, waiting for government, for leaders, for institutions—to fix problems that belong to every single one of us.
A nation rises to greatness only when its people take ownership.
Every society that has achieved enduring progress did so because ordinary citizens believed the future rested in their hands, Not in Peter Obi's.
If we truly want change, we must build it ourselves
That demands discipline.
It demands relentless hard work.
And above all, it demands unity.
We cannot advance while pointing fingers at one another or waiting for miracles that never arrive.
The hard reality is this: Nigeria's tomorrow will be shaped by the choices we make today.
Choose responsibility, choose cooperation, choose a shared vision and progress will follow.
But choose division, choose complacency, choose the kind of cynicism and distraction promoted by figures like Gringory Peter, and our future will slip away.
Let us therefore commit ourselves, here and now, to building the nation we deserve.
Support the incumbent government of PBAT as it delivers the visible transformations already underway.
Stand with those who are working to move Nigeria forward.
Not tomorrow.
Not someday.
Today.
The time for excuses is over.
The time for action is now.

The Village People Effect in the NGX
This occurs when a “monkey hunter” deploys all his firepower to accumulate a stock with weak or questionable fundamentals. After building his position, he launches an aggressive campaign on investment forums, trying to convince inexperienced members to buy the stock.
The strategy is simple: create hype, attract the newbies, and use their buying pressure as an exit opportunity to dump his shares.
However, the Village People Effect sets in weeks or months later. The same stock that was pumped and dumped suddenly begins to appreciate organically due to improving sentiment or fundamentals.
Ironically, the monkey hunter who engineered the early hype is now left watching from the sidelines — regretting that he exited far too early.

I have another insurance stock name withhold which momentum has been confirmed waiting for breakout.

Which one is village people guys.
I blame myself sharing my index summary with Nincompoops instead of quietly picking and selling stocks for short term gains till recapitalization processes kicks off.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mankind2024:
I advised Loco back in 2025, but he ignored it. Now the desperation to bail out is becoming obvious for everyone to see. Many members have already noticed both the panic and his remarkable talent for “monkey hunting.”
The more he floods the forum with ChatGPT-generated opinions and analysis about the insurance sub-sector, the deeper those stocks seem to sink into the red. At this point, the best thing Loco can do is step back, restrategize, and start focusing on fundamentally sound companies. Then let Mr. Time do the heavy lifting if he truly wants to build wealth and maybe one day qualify for the N1B-gang portfolio.
Jokes aside, Loco should be embarrassed. Going from being a trader to turning into a full-time stock promoter is not a good look at all. His story is beginning to resemble Cathie Wood of ARK Invest — a classic case of how conviction can slowly turn into self-inflicted wealth destruction.
Hopefully he can stop spamming this forum with hourly promotions of insurance stocks.
The real irony of the market is this: the exact day Loco finally dumps his insurance portfolio will probably be the same day the entire sector turns green. This is called "The village people effect" in NGX.

PoliticsRe: We Are Ready To Support Nigeria In Fight Against Terrorism - Iran by Mankind2024: 5:24pm On Mar 08
Wrong information.
Hamas is a Sunni sect Islamist. It emerged as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood (a Sunni movement founded in Egypt) in 1987 during the First Intifada. Its ideology, charter, and religious practices align with Sunni Islam.

Topman7:
MR MAN, KNOW THIS AND HAVE PEACE:

If you want to end terrorism in Nigeria today, there's no better foreign country than IRAN to do it.

IRAN is Shia Islam, and supports Hamas and Hezbollah, which are militant groups set up to resist Israeli occupation and aggression in the middle east.

IRAN has ZERO to do with Sunni Islam terrorist groups like ISIS, Al Qaeda, and Boko Haram.

IRAN hates these groups and recognises them as groups formed by US/Saudi/Qatar/Bahrain and other Sunni Islam gulf countries.

The job of those groups is to create mayhem in resource-rich countries, for the west to invade them as "saviours", or destabilise them for easier exploitation etc.

So LEARN TO DISTINGUISH these groups and agendas, instead of just "Iran = Terrorists".

Joke of the century: The global sponsor of terrorism is proposing to fight terrorism in a country of particular concern. The breeder of Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis—his country was responsible for exporting terrorism to Australia and New Zealand.

PoliticsRe: VIDEO: The 5 Shocking Stages Of Islamization, Nigeria On Course by Mankind2024: 3:05pm On Mar 08
Dr. Peter Hammond's book Slavery, Terrorism and Islam.
Infiltration / Introduction (Under ~2-3% Muslim population)
Muslims arrive as a small, peaceful minority (immigrants, refugees, etc.). They are seen as non-threatening and focus on integration, building communities, and basic religious rights (mosques, halal food).
Consolidation / Proselytizing (Around 2-5%)
Recruitment increases, especially among minorities, disaffected groups, prisoners, or gangs. Demands grow for accommodations like halal options in schools/prisons and recognition of Muslim holidays.
Influence / Agitation for Privileges (Around 5-10%)
Muslims exert disproportionate influence relative to numbers. Push for halal food in public institutions, prayer breaks, Sharia-compliant banking, and exemptions from certain laws. No-go zones or self-segregation may begin in concentrated areas.
Lawlessness / Conflict (Around 10-20%+)
Increased tensions, protests over perceived offenses (e.g., cartoons, policies), demands for Sharia courts in personal matters, riots, or sporadic violence. Non-Muslims face pressure in Muslim-majority areas.
Dominance / Total Control (Higher percentages leading to majority or full control)
Full implementation of Sharia law, persecution of non-Muslims (or non-conforming Muslims), jizya-like taxes in extreme cases, ethnic cleansing, or theocracy. The society becomes overwhelmingly Islamic, with non-Muslims marginalized or driven out.
Examples often cited in these narratives for "successful" progression to high levels (near or full Islamisation, with Sharia as dominant law) include countries that are now overwhelmingly Muslim and apply Sharia to varying degrees.
Two commonly referenced examples:
Pakistan — Created in 1947 as a homeland for Muslims in South Asia, it has a ~97% Muslim population. It officially became an Islamic Republic, with Sharia influencing law (e.g., blasphemy laws, hudud ordinances in the 1980s under Zia-ul-Haq). Islam plays a central role in constitution and governance.
Iran — Following the 1979 Islamic Revolution, it transformed from a secular monarchy into an Islamic Republic with ~98% Muslim population (mostly Shia). Sharia is the basis of the legal system, enforced by religious authorities, with strict rules on dress, morality, punishments, etc.
Other countries frequently mentioned in similar lists include Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan (under Taliban), or historical cases like Egypt (now ~90% Muslim after centuries of gradual shift post-7th-century conquest).
Again, these processes are debated; many attribute such changes to historical conquests, colonialism, nationalism, or revolutions rather than a modern "stages" plan.

Despite repeated successions in leadership, Israel seems to excel at the precise elimination of successors.
The republic would surely plead for peace.

GeneralDae:
“ Khamenei is dead. Good.

But I have family in Iran. My dad is there right now. And I'm not celebrating yet. Here's why.

Iran built the most layered contingency plan on Earth for this exact moment. Four levels of succession for every key position. Pre-authorized military strikes. Regional commanders who don't need orders from Tehran to act.

As you read this, there is already a new Supreme Leader. We just don't know who.

This isn't Maduro. The government didn't get overthrown. The system absorbed the hit. That's what it was designed to do.

Every credible intel assessment says the same thing: a post-Khamenei Iran is more likely to get harder, not softer. More IRGC. More dangerous. Potentially worse for the Iranian people than Khamenei himself.

Don't breathe yet. There's a long way to go.“
