How did the North betray MKO ?

The masses voted for him enmasse in the presidential election and he won most of the Northern states.

Those that annulled the election are the military boys just as they planned a coup against Balewa/Azikiwe in 1966, Shagari in 1984.

Would we now say the North betrayed Shagari or what?

I was referring to the northern elites... What IBB and Abacha did to MKO is worse than betrayal.... weather they were military men or not doesn't change the fact that as northerners they betrayed MKO.... Especially IBB, if you know you know.....the story even goes beyond the annulment of the 1993 june12 election...

As regards tinubu, I feel he will be betrayed by the north, just like Awolowo and MKO

As the 2023 general election is fast approaching, I have been trying to do my permutations as to who will be the next president of Nigeria.
Though I'm not a political analyst, I have over the years develop great interest on the affairs of this country especially on the political scene.
Since political parties are yet to conduct their primaries, asking this question now will not narrow our thoughts to the candidate of any major party.
My contenders
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, Yemi Osibanjo, Aminu Tambawal...
Analysis
As an individual who is not under any political party, I have come to see these aspirants are the major contenders to take over the affairs of this country, in all honesty, I don't fancy any of them, yeah Osibanjo and Aminu Tambawal maybe easy to market because of their track records compared to Tinubu and Atiku, but I really doubt either of them will be able to win their party primaries (my opinion)
Now, if we are to be sincere to ourselves the ruling party and the main opposition are the only two political parties with a solid structure across the 36 state of the country.
For the reason alone, I feel either the APC or the PDP will produce the next president of Nigeria even though they present a thief or a drug baron as their candidate (I'm not been sentimental)
I'm not ruling the fact that between now and the general election next year, alot of twist and fate could happen ( which I really hope for) but as of today I don't see any candidate outside the ruling party and its main opposition becoming president.
My verdict
Since our elections are characterized always with massive rigging and vote buying, meaning the highest bidder or the man with the cash and influence stands a major chance of winning, also not ruling out religious and ethnic bias in the line of voting among Nigerians, I've come with the conclusion that whichever party fields a northern candidate will emerge victorious in the general elections ( I hope I'm wrong lol).... But not withstanding, I am predicting Yemi Osibanjo to be the next president of Nigeria......if I was to give a second guess it's going to be ..... hmmm... Atiku (northern factor)......

Whoever killed Funso Williams, wanted to prevent his candidacy in the PDP primaries, so that his own primary victory will be assured.

Note also that Williams' wife ran in his place and still won the primaries, but the PDP in typical abracadabra quickly cancelled the primary election and scheduled another one, just to ensure that the candidate of the Obasanjo government (Abuja candidate) won the gubernatorial primary.

That Abuja candidate is Musiliu Obanikoro, who was a PDP Senator.

He benefitted from Funso Williams assassination, who was set to win the PDP primary like he did in 2003. Remember that despite Williams death, his wife who had just relocated to Nigeria from abroad after his murder, was able to win the original primary. So it is evident Funso was an obstacle that had to be eliminated in typical PDP fashion of intraparty assassinations.

The police investigation was focused on 2 primary suspects.

1. Seye Ogunlewe
2. Musiliu Obanikoro

Seye Ogunlewe was badly hit by the suspect status the police accorded him, and lost the political goodwill he had, such that by the time of the primary, he had become a political leper.

Obanikoro (Kosi koro ko sibo), would eventually lose to AC candidate Babatunde Fashola.

This is what the media sold out to the public, but we definitely know there's more to this....


Buhari wasn't stup*d when he said if he mentions his preferred candidate, he(the candidate) will be assassinated......

Let's see how things unfold before the 2023 elections.... some aspiring presidential candidate ambition will be cut off when they open their dirty old files.....

Whoever killed Funsho Williams wanted to have Lagos State in his pocket......

Too bad Lagos is in the pocket of one man now.....

That ultimatum lapsed on the 6th of December, and you really think these lecturers wouldn't have gone on strike since then if any of their demands hadn't been met
