PoliticsRe: Problems In Abeokuta North And My 10 Policy Solutions - Ogunfeyitimi Tope Joshua by ManspaceBarber(m): 4:57am On Mar 15
Start with what you've done. Show results to constitutents.

My brother, to be realistic, most of the voters in Abk North won't be found on nairaland.

Show workings. Go to the streets and places. Take this election as a test and familiarization exercise.

Unfortunately, your party isn't really popular in Ogun State, at least in Abeokuta that I know. The good part os that if you position well, you can achieve the uncommon.

Akeem Odejimi (Ologbowon) was the only PDP councillor during Baba Osoba's administration as AD governor.

This should tell you something.

All the best, brotherman.

BusinessRe: My Unfortunate Experience With Geegpay Africa by ManspaceBarber(m): 1:58pm On Oct 21, 2025
Rumplesteelskin:
I made this post to inform anyone that may be interested in opening an account with Geegpay and to see if there are others like me willing to share their stories. It might just be 1 out of 10 kinds of cases, but the choice is yours at the end of the day.

I have been working remotely for about six years now, and I have used a different kind of payment channel. I have used TransferWise, Payoneer, and bank wire and decided to try out Geegpay because of the flexibility, and here is my story.

My Geegpay account with a virtual USD setup, which had a balance of $52, became inaccessible to me. It was as if I never had an account there, and their support hasn't helped tell me what happened to my account or how to get my money back.

I opened an account with GeegPay around August 2022, and got successfully verified around November 2022. Since then, I have been using the account to receive my biweekly payment from my employer. This account began receiving payments on November 23, 2022 and continued until January 6, 2023.

Before the last credit transaction, I kept a balance of $152.98 in the virtual dollar account for the first time and withdrew the big sum, Thank goodness I did. I usually don't keep anything at all because of stories like this, but I had to because of some Aliexpress purchase I wanted to make and, I had hoped to use their virtual card, which also didn't work, even before my account disappeared.

I changed $50 twice and withdrew the Naira equivalent. On the second withdrawal, I noticed the money was getting reversed to the Geegpay naira account until I tried with another local bank account of mine, First Bank, and it was successful. Now, I am left with $52.98 as a balance. I reached out to their support to inform them of the reversal issue before I tried the First Bank alternative, and as usual, they were not helpful.

The baffling part is that I reached out to their support for help with the reversal issue on January 12, 2023, which they weren't helpful with, and I advised the CS rep, Adepeju, to stop using canned messages and try to be more helpful to customers by improving his product knowledge, and my account became inaccessible to my knowledge on January 17. Perhaps the unsolicited advice wasn't received well, Naim the guy gba mi ni disable... Lol. It will be unfortunate, though, if that's the case with a company like Geegpay.

My login details stopped working without making any changes to them. I also couldn't reset the password because it said "Resource with given detail not found," which means the user doesn't exist. After contacting support and trying to help, I was told the issue had been escalated and that I will get a response within 1 - 2 business days. That time has passed with no response. In fact, the ticket was closed with no solution to my account being inaccessible or having access to my funds. I just received a survey prompt to rate their service... Lol

I wrote to their support again and copied (CC) CBN, EFCC, and ICPC and it is 12 days today as of the time of writing this, and no response from the above. I'm not sure if this is not fraudulent enough to get a response or if I'm missing something.

I've decided to keep this here for anyone who is interested in the Geegpay service and would be wise to do their homework before depositing their salary or payment into an account that can disappear at any time without notice or explanation.

I'm thankful I didn't keep more than that. It would have been really painful. Knowing how Nigeria works, the money is gone.

May Nigeria not happen to us! Amen!
I saw this late.

I could have saved myself some stress dealing with geegpay.

E be like dem don corner my small change too. tongue

Number 7, 8 and 9 has been growing exponentially in the past 10 years. If only we (stakeholders, investors and government) could focus more on MSMEs, support and encourage players in this sectors to do more, the level of economic growth the nation would record will be surprising.

CareerProfitable Businesses Requiring ₦0 Capital To Start by ManspaceBarber(op): 1:11pm On Jun 10, 2025
You might have been told this before while you never believed it, I will tell you again, you can start a profitable business in Nigeria with little or no capital by leveraging your smartphone, social media and free online tools.

There are lucrative ideas that require little or even zero capital to start. Basically requiring some skills, courage and a level of commitment to start.

In this context, I recommend you focus on low-cost ideas like sports jersey retail, foodstuff packaging, skincare or haircare reselling.

Be smart, minimize expenses by working from home, using free marketing and reinvesting profits. Control your costs even as you grow.

I started my sports jersey business with zero funds, marketing skills and an old mobile phone.

I posted sports and fashion contents in online communities, wore football kits customized in my name to viewing centres, collected payments upfront and built a community around the business.

Today, I own a supply chain and train people to start the business, so we can serve more sport fans together.

From experience, you do not need all resources fixed and available for you to start.

You only need the basics to get started, generate revenue and build a system to help you control running expenses, so you can be profitable.

Start now. I am on this journey with you.
You'll succeed.

Manspace

CareerWhile You Await The Funds That May Never Come. by ManspaceBarber(op): 12:03pm On Mar 20, 2025
Instead of waiting for the funds that may never come for you to launch your business idea

Leverage any relevant skill you possess to start something meaningful.

This is the advice I gave some SME owners and young aspiring entrepreneurs last week.

I was at the western district of Ogun State, for an entrepreneurship training gig.

I delivered a training on agribusiness, with focus on agricultural value chain and agritech.

It was an easy task for me as always, because I shared knowledge from real-life experiences.

A part of earnings from my early days of public speaking went into build Manspace.

I've had a product and built client base before the TEF grant opportunity comes.

I realize that the universe has a way of favouring those who show up against all odds.

Start anyhow, start small while you develop a mentality of growing big.

I'm on this journey with you.

Yours manly,
Manspace

BusinessAdvice To Aspiring Entrepreneurs In Nigeria by ManspaceBarber(op): 12:30pm On Mar 17, 2025
Dear aspiring entrepreneur,

if you can’t raise all the required capital to launch your idea, I recommend you start with a lucrative business that requires little or no capital first.

This would help you raise some funds, gather experience and momentum.

You'd also be able to impress any investor about what you are doing to raise fund.

Showing you are passionately bootstrapping while you seek external funding.

Later, you can pivot, launching your main idea or expand the business to become mainstay.

Samsung started by exporting noodles and dry fish from South Korea to China and Japan.

Anyway, here are some lucrative businesses you can start with little to zero capital:

Print-on-Demand:
Sell custom T-shirts, mugs and phone cases without inventory.

Digital Marketing Services:
Offer social media management, content writing or SEO

Sports Jersey Dropshipping:
Sell football jerseys online without stocking goods.

Haircare Product Sales:
Resell trending hair products or create your own brand.

Tips to Start:
- Identify a profitable niche.
I highly recommend the sports jersey business (dropshipping)
- Leverage free marketing tools (WhatsApp, Instagram etc).
- Start small and reinvest profits.
- Focus on great customer service.

I'm on this journey with you.

If you need help in starting a sports jersey business with zero capital, get in touch with me.

Yours manly,
Manspace
