Yes. She said they can't make funding decisions right now due to the pandemic. Most GAs in the department worl majorly in the labs. Since they are considering taking classes online, there won't be lab classes

I have done all that. I have even mailed the GC. Ms chemistry

Funding depends on your department. The GC in my department said they don’t give funding to entering students. But someone else got GA from her department. So you should contact the GC in yours. I’ve been admitted for Fall too.
