The Edo State Commissioner for Investment and Public
Private Partnership, Mr. Dennis Idahosa, on Friday defected
to the Peoples Democratic Party.
It would be recalled that Idahosa was sworn in as
commissioner on September 23, 2014, shortly before
Governor Adams Oshiomhole presented the 2015 budget.
It was learnt that he defected to the PDP alongside some
leaders of the All Progressive Congress in Ovia South West
local government area.

due to incessant comments by Governor Oshiomhole, which
he said were insulting to President Goodluck Jonathan.
He also pledged to support the re-election of Jonathan, in

“The reason I am joining PDP is that I don’t agree with the
way Oshiomhole abuses our elders and President Jonathan.
“As a youth, I stand to support President Jonathan for the
presidency,” he said.
Also speaking, Orbih argued that more serving
commissioners in the APC-led administration had
expressed willingness to join the opposition party.
