All of this is noise, needless noise. Only you can truly deactivate your account by never coming here again.

You already have the out you want as you are not forced to be here.

You can quit the platform, you just don't want to or have self control to do so, in that case it is solely on you to fix yourself, nothing to do with Nairaland
Sir,.my problem is not login in or out.
It is that i want to deactivate my account.

It is my right to do so, and anybody who thinks otherwise should explain to me why.

Let you go with your profile, take your profile with you to where exactly.

Your profile consists of 1's and 0's, even if they say they are removing it, it is still there. All they will do is flag is as unused or deactivated. It will never be deleted on their system. Any one with access to their database can simply clear the flag.

In fact, they could have a flag saying AppearDeactivated and just set it to true so you think you have deactivated. There is no such thing as erasing your online footprint, none.

If you are really done with Nairaland instead of all this attention seeking stunt, don't ever come here again. Like I said, it's easy to have self control, that's what you need to work on, not some Nairaland profiles appearing deactivated.

What you are asking for is akin to not going to a bar anymore and saying they should refund all the money you have ever spent there.

Good luck with your cause sha.
I never said I want them to erase my data.
Anyhow it is done it not my business.

I just.dont.my profile active on Nairaland anymore.

Your example of bar does not.hold.
A bar is a market place where buying and selling takes place.

A social media is an association like a political party.

If I resign from a politcal party, my name.is remove as one of their members.

Nzogbu people want to do eBiafra.

Just know that such threads pop up whenever they are getting it hot here or when their propaganda is being debunked and dismissed .

Foolish idiots have been told severally that kedu app - the first unapologetic tribal forum was created in anticipation of their exodus but the app only has a miserable 70k downloads and near zero traffic.

This is how they are going to treat their Biafra dot nation . They think that once we grant them Biafra they can go and cone as they please and turn their Biafra into a criminal sanctuary to flee to after commiting crime in Nigeria. Or they think they will still be allowed to enjoy the benefits of being Nigerian while a seperate country. They are in for a shock.
I always to deactivate my account and Nairaland has denied me the right to Freedom of Association.

I am done with Nairaland, leaving my profile still makes a member of the forum.

This is what this thread is a about.
Stay focused please.

From every indication , you are not serious to leave here just as none of you are serious about your dot Biafra .

If you want to leave NL, then simply log out and never come back.

The site will still face the consequences if you all just stopped coming here as the metrics used in guaging the popularity of a website is its daily unique visitors and not registered users.

You can fck off and that will be enough to get this site to feel your absence.

As per data privacy ,NL is a publisher as you as a user here has no way of deleting a post or thread you created and so can not be held responsible for whatever you post here. Forget Seun's disclaimer. Twitter will ask you to delete a post that they feel goes against their ToS. This is because they want to remain as a platform and not a publisher .

In terms of personal data privacy , are you foolish to have used your main email to create an account here ?
I am serious about leaving. I want to be gone and gone for good. I don't want to leave my profile behind.

I don't care about Nairaland traffic.
I don't want to be a member of Nairaland anymore.

Anyone saying I cannot deactivate my account is violating my right of Freedom of Association.

Now, none of your points explained why my right to Freedom of Association has been withdrawn.

I don't just want to log out.
I want my profile deactivated.

Denying me that is tampering with my Freedom of Association.

Else, you can tell me why my right is denied me.

You guys like hugging attention like an electrocuted thief hugs transformer.

Just like those perennially complaining about how dirty and smelly lagos is , yet are trying to smuggle bills on d floor of nass on how to become indigines of the same lagos.

Why not just LEAVE?!
It's not as if your Nairaland account will be used to withdraw money from bank once you disappear nau.
cool
Please educate me on why Nairaland should tamper with rights of Freedom of Association?

It's attention seeking.

No one cares that they want to leave, they want to be begged to stay sef.
Hahahaha.
This is iconic comic relief of the whole bunch.
Beg me to stay for what purpose?

Sir, for a fee or even for salary, I don't.emw.to stay.

I am done with Nairaland and I want to go with my profile.

Simple and short.

Let Nairaland allow me to leave.
It is not too much to ask.

Nairaland is violating peoples right and I believe that Seun Osewa knows it.
If he knows people cannot deactivate their profiles, then he must make sure it is stated clearly on the sign on page.

Even people who seel cigar warns of the consequences in their packs.

Thanks for you input
