thanks for the reply I used enough icing sugar infact my fondant icing is very thick and I haven't used glycerin since I started icing don't just know what's going wrong

avoid vegetable shortening and add cmc

first you'll need a kitchen scale.for creamed sponge cake
8"by 2"pan:-) 250g flour,250g margarine,150g sugar,5 eggs,1&1/2 tsp baking powder,1/2 tsp flavour(1/4 tsp cinnamon,nutmeg,preservatives)
With this recipe you should be able to manipulate for bigger size

not having sugar in cake, is like cooking soip wighout salt. and since ur sugar is so low, u won't get a creamy mmix....at least make it half kilo.,then a pinch of salt to step it down. then increase your egg to 16 or 20 ....this will add moisture to your cake to reduce the crumbs.... ensure the heat is ok and please cream very wel. one rule of thumb for a well creamed sugar -marg mixture is to dip ur hand in water and then in d mixture. if it comes out clean then you are good, othetwise continue creaming.

Don't forget there are diff types and varieties of cakes, so Crumby Cake is not bad afterall...lllooolll

@OP,Enugu is really a nice place to be,but what I don't understand is why most of them dislike Hausa,I'm currently based here(Yoruba muslim,using hijab),the moment you are sighted with hijab,you are tagged onye Hausa and would fine means of castigating you.besides that they are lovely people,my love for them made me name my daughter Chioma,so they call me mama Chioma
