Hi bro. I have the Mandela Rhodes Scholarship interview next month and I will be glad if you could help with tips to ace it.

Thanks

There's no tips actually. Just be your self, speak your truth and enjoy the process. JUDY, Ernst and Gigi are awesome individuals.
Hopefully in some couple of weeks, I will welcome you to the MRF family.

Cheers bro and Best of God

Politics / Re: Nigeria To Float Development Bank – Buhari by Marcus992000(m): 9:52am On Oct 15, 2016
Hmmm....atimes, I wonder how we reason atimes. We allow how reasoning be maneuvered by hate and dislike. Whatever is said, we complain. If the government does anything, we complain, faulting the policy behind it. At the same time if nothing. Is done, we complain that the government is ineffectuve and just dull.

This is a welcome development, alot of people will get employment, skilled labour, unskilled labour across the various branches that would be sited. President travelling to developed countries, attending various programs to attract enough FDI. Question be told, If you were a foreign body, would you invest in an ustable Boko Haram stricken Nigeria as at 2014-15? I know there is alot of things wrong with this government , but lets applaud it too when it does something right. Atimes, the best way to correct a child that keeps doing alot of things wrong is to appreciate the little he does right and motivate him to do more of such, celebrating his success while constructively critizing him for his wrongs.

Peace out

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Should I Take This $1200 Job Offer Or Not? by Marcus992000(m): 4:31pm On Oct 03, 2016
So many thing are amiss here.....the value of $1 isnt d same thing in US and Canada 4 instance, so also dat same dollar wont fetch you same thing it will fetch you in Dubai as well as in Nigeria. Consider this, there was a time $1 was equal to like #320 in black market but then d normal exchsnge rate recognized by int'l market was #199. So bro, your $1200 isn't really what your Nigerian exchange rate is telling you, rather its what ur Dubai exchange rate is telling you.

Let me site a pratical example. I left engineering to work in professional service. My offer letter says my cost of employment is about #3.6mil per annum. Me was very happy, after doing the maths, naïve me tot i would b paid over #270k monthly....only to realise after a month dat my take home isnt even upto #200k...u see, so many things came in, pensions, insurance bla bla bla....and this is Nigeria where tax is still abit lenient ....I can easily save half of my pay monthly and still live like a big boy....in Dubai, I doubt if $1.2k will do dat same magic.

I gave up a scholarship abroad to stay and do my job here....I was like u too, seeking advice from anyone that cares to listen, but in d end, we know what we gonna do! Its just best you do what we feel its best for you, not what others think is.....reason is, its your life, and u get to live with d consequences of ur actions.

Pray the Holy spirit teach and guide ur confused heart.

Cheers

Kudos to her,Nigeria's brightest hope of winning a medal, apart from the dream team

guy u r very funny, comparing our athletes to Chinese kids. Okay, seems u don't listen to news nor live in Nigeria. most of dese athletes ve no motivation whatsoever, many unpaid allowances, even d Dream team are threatening to boycott the 1/8 final match against due to d same palava.
Now to ur Blessing, 11.16 is a very good for semi's. what top athletes do is conserve energy for the final. Burning your energy for qualification, then what will u use for d final...

beats my imagination how some of us criticise in constructively. for d records, I even think d lady sponsors herself.
No one has a right to demand anything from our athletes......to whom much is given much should b expected ...hence to whom nothing is given, then nothing should b expected.

For those of us complaining, hope u know there is no power (NEPA light) in our areas, lol, truth be told, there won't be power if the destruction by these "naughty and misguided" political thugs called militants or avengers keep bombing pipelines and other important asset. Our crude oil production has drited from over 2million per day to around 1.4million per day. Now see, who is undoing themselves? Its easy to shift blames and rant, but bro and sis, it ain't gonna solve nada if we don't come together to condemn this act of terrorism. Change actually begins with you and I.....but if you want to continue seating in front of your system at your AC fitted office and using your company's data to type whatever criticism comes to your mind, then be my guest.

KissCODE:
This money is always being giving to chibok girls‘ parents is for what?
Paying them to keep pretending their children are missing?
Or will the money take the place of there missing children.
What would be paramount to any parent is to see his or child back not money.
Chibok girls‘ issue is the highest level of LIES & DECIET. This government will always pay so that these fake parents dont expose them.

My take is this, money wasn't given to just Chibok girl's parent but also to the families of the dead school boys. In my opinion, I don't see this as a form of "publicity stunt" as many of us have tagged it. Rather I see it as a form of good will and identifying with the bereaved. Imagine you go pay them a visit empty handed, na we go still complain say se na only greeting dem go chop ni.
From what I see, anything done by this administration is often being castigated against. I belong to the school of thought that believes we disagree to agree. But when the disagreement is born out of bitterness and hatred then there is really no meaningful contribution such people can make rather than just "rant".

Abeg no quote me o, I no like politics palava, just airing my opinion.

I advice that you visit your dentist ASAP. I understand u took the said drugs due to the pain and you seeking for possible succor, but the truth be said, all the road side "chemist" shops cant be trusted. I had Bell's Palsy recently and I knew what I passed through.

Sorry bro, and try be better on time. Moreover, for the meantime do away with bony meat, take fish and eggs instead.....the pain will be more than the gain on the long run.

Be Safe bro
