YOU PRAY TO RECEIVE IT INTO MANIFESTATION IN YOUR LIFE OR YOU PRAY TO STOP IT FROM MANIFESTING IN YOUR LIFE "WHATEVER you permit on earth is permitted in Heaven and WHATEVER YOU FORBID ON EARTH IS FORBIDDEN IN HEAVEN" {Mtt.18:18}
In the case of getting married to her fiancee she should ask the HOLY SPIRIT through prayers to give her clearer confirmation, if it is from GOD "This is the Lord’s sign to you that the Lord will do what he has promised: I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.’” So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had gone down" {Isaiah 38:7-8}
If a dream is from GOD, He always gives you a SIGN to convince your human doubts that HE will bring to manifestation the message He gave you in the Dream.
"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a SIGN: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" {Isaiah 7:14}
Any dream that gets you confusing ask GOD for A SIGN, HE WILL GIVE YOU ONE BECAUSE HE KEEPS HIS WORD AND COVENANT FOREVER (Ps.105:

in the case of having sexual intercourse with her fiancee, she should examine herself in TRUTH about her intentions and desires to have sex with him BY ALL MEANS or as A TOP PRIORITY DESIRE IN HER MIND then she should pray against such IMMORALITY which might RUIN her happiness and LEAVE AN UNFORGETTABLE BITTER EXPERIENCE IN HER LIFE. It might also be a message from GOD that she should avoid occasions {meeting at lonely places}, dressing or attitudes that might AROUSE such IMMORAL SIN from taking place in her life.

TITHES IN THE LIGHT OF GOD’S CONCERN FOR THE POOR

I call on all priests & ministers of the Gospel to rethink the meaning of our life and vocation as priests/ ministers. Each person should ask himself why he chose to become a priest or a Gospel minister. What does God expect of me as a priest? The priest is alter Christus, another Christ. What this means is that people who encounter me should be able to see the touching presence of Christ in and through me. They should be able to feel Chist’s love and compassion, his care and concern. My words should reveal and reflect Christ’s message of hope and salvation. During our retreat, I told the retreatants the story of a young priest (and this is a true story) who, intending to bamboozle his audience with high sounding theological terms, kept repeating to them “As a priest, I am altar Christi.” And I said to him what do you mean by that? He replied, you know nah, it means another Christ. I corrected him. He intended to say “alter Christus”. But I added, how I wish you meant the one you said, “altar Christi” because that is also a grammatically possible expression in Latin, and it means “altar of Christ”. You see being a priest involves sacrifice. The priest should be ready to become the altar upon which the sacrifice of the Christian community will be offered. He should be ready to bear the sacrifice upon himself.
But what we find is a situation where the priest/pastor thinks he is there to enjoy life. The priest/minister of the Word craves a life of affluence and excessive wealth.
The minister/priest should take a look at the inaugural message of Christ in Luke 4,16-30 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me. He has sent me to bring good news to the poor. ..” The priest who models himself after Christ cannot but take seriously this mission to the poor. But what we find in the Church today is an overall exploitation of the poor masses. Some parish priest/pastors cannot begin and end a Sunday mass/without calling for two or more extra collections outside the regular offertory. This is highly unacceptable. I call this “exploitation of the people’s faith and devotion.” Presently Nigeria is going through one of the worst economic downturn in its history. Life is at its ebb. Families can’t afford their food daily. Yet they somehow manage to give some to the Church and the priest. We should all be grateful for this. But the greedy priest is not satisfied with this. He must, like Oliver Twist, ask for more, and more and more, until the pockets are drained. That is exploitation. The priest should take cognisance of the real life situations of his flock. Part of our duty as priests in these hard times is to help our people to navigate through the difficulties that face them, and we cannot do this if we exploit them financially.

Let me give you another example of how we are exploiting the people. Recently the idea of tithes and tithing has crept into the Catholic Church in Igboland. Clearly this is one of those influences we are picking up from Pentecostalism. However, is it justitifiable biblically and otherwise? My answer is a categorical NO. In the Old Testament texts which speak about tithes, the whole idea was that of a redistribution of wealth, in order to make sure that the people who don’t have would get something from those who have more. It was not something principally to be offered to priests or those who served at the altar. If you take Deut 14:22-29 for instance, this point becomes clear. I call on everyone, both priests and lay faithful to go and read this passage very well. The idea here is that there was an annual occasion for tithing, in which each family was to take one tenth (i.e. the tithe) of their year’s produce to the temple, and there in the temple the family itself (not the priests) will together eat what they have brought. In their feasting however, they are enjoined not to forget the Levites, “because they have no property or inheritance”. They should also remember to share some of it with “the resident foreigner, the orphan and the widow.” So tithing as the book of Deuteronomy makes clear is an occasion for feasting, in which a part of it is shared with the poor, namely the Levites, the resident foreigners, the widows and orphans.
One may argue that the priests are the Levites of our time. That may be correct, but in this passage what entitles the Levites to a share in the tithe is not his serving the Lord, but the fact of his possessing no property. The priests of today (or in the Protestant and Pentecostal churches, the pastor, minister, evangelist) all have possessions: cars, landed property, fat bank accounts, etc. They no longer belong to the poor who were meant to eat the tithes with the people. The primary concern in the Deuteronomic law on tithes is that the people, by means of a communion meal before the Lord, involving one tenth of their produce, should recognise God as the one who gave the land and its increase, and that they should share it with those who do not have.
When we come to the famous passage in Malachi 3, God laments that the people rob him by not bringing in their tithes. This passage in Malachi can only be interpreted in reference to the bringing in of tithes means in Deuteronomy. That is to say, God laments that people were not bringing their tithes to the temple to eat as the Law requires, but were eating them them at home. And by doing so, the poor people including the Levites, the widows and orphans, could not get their own share. God’s concern for the poor is offended.
Now leaving the Bible aside, let’s talk of morality and justice. What moral justification can a priest/pastor who owns a car, sometimes the latest model in town, has millions in his bank account, owns buildings all over, lives in Parish house that is paid for and catered for by the parishioners, whose feeding and overhead expenses are taken care of by others. What moral justification can such a person ever have to demand that a poor parishioner, whose earning is so meagre, should give him 10% of it, under false pretence that you are the modern day Levite. There is a huge difference. The difference is that the modern day priest/pastor is, to say the least, well-to-do while the ancient Levite was destitute. When the priest or minister or pastor under the pretext of being a Levite, demands tithes from his congregation, that would amount to exploitation and forming part of the oppressive machinery. Only a warped sense of rightness, fuelled by egoism, will allow that.
So my advice to fellow priests/pastors/ministers of the Word is that we should keep the seeking of self interest and financial gains by the side and focus on service to the people.
On a further note, discipline and self control are very important in our lives as priests/pastors.

BALANCED CRITICS OF THE ABOVE WRITE-UP:

Though this article sounds attractive, some of it’s underlining judgements and explanations are problematic, if not faulty. First of all, the explanation for alter-Christus given applies not only to the priests but to every baptized Christian. He has not really told us what distinguishes the priests from other Christians as the tradition of the Church applies the term to priests.
Secondly, his judgments are founded on assumption of poor faithful versus rich priests. He lacks any consideration of rich faithful versus poor priests. I think he needs to know that many priests are poor, though some are rich. He needs to know many priests supply financial aid to their parishes or schools, etc by begging for aid from outside their territory. He should know many of the faithful are rich. So the polarity of poor masses versus rich priests is a rash judgement.

Thirdly, He needs to observe there are varied conceptions of tithe practices in the Bible. Maybe there was various acceptable tradition of it. In Gen 14: 18ff Abraham gave his tithe to a Priest and this is referred to in the New Testament in Heb 7:2. Some other different tradition can also be seen in Num 18:21 and Lev 27:30-33. Reducing all to Deut 14:22-29 is being too simplistic. I would rather accept that there are different traditional practices for tithes in the Bible.
Fourthly, bringing good news to the poor does not mean explicitly or implicitly exoneration of the poor from making an offering to the Lord. Remember Jesus never prevented but even praised and so encouraged the poor widow for giving all she has. So, in no condition should we suggest that because of economic difficulty offering should be downplayed on. As long as one lives, one should make offering. It is a spiritual exercise. Even in the Old Testament, there were several offerings demanded, not only tithes.
Fifthly, We should rather fight the ABUSE of tithes and not its PRACTICE. For me, anyone who freely chose to practice it should go on. I know God will be blessing him/her for that. I do tell people that it must not even be ALL THE 10%. In the light of the New Testament, if you decide to even give God more that 10%, what is the problem with that?
Sixthly, it is the ABUSES that should be attacked, the OVER-EMPHASIS and MONTHLY COMPULSION placed on it and the MISUSE of it. What is wrong with a priest taking the tithe and using it for the Church, the poor and even for himself if need be? We must also understand that a priest has no inheritance and depend on the Church for his faring.
Finally, no matter how anyone think tithes should be done away with, it may not be possible as long as people have access to HOLY Bible, because it is clearly biblical. We should not simply attribute it to Pentecostalism. Even if Pentecostals emphasizes it, the fact that a good number of Catholics are practicing it is a sign that we ought to do more JUSTICE to its CLARIFICATION than doing away with it. We need to fight only the ABUSE. Again, as long as there is HOLY Bible and the faithful read it, the case of tithes remains.

COMMITTING SIN AFTER ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD:
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who COMMITS sin is a SLAVE to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to the household forever. So if the SON sets you FREE, you will be FREE INDEED. {John 8:34-36}
For THOSE who tell you that ONCE you believe in Jesus Christ, all the SINS you commit later have no ETERNAL {HEAVEN & HELL-FIRE} consequences.
That teaching is ERROR
After you believe in JESUS CHRIST and you go back to committing sin,
you automatically make yourself A SLAVE TO SIN and YOUR PLACE IN THE FAMILY OF GOD is NO LONGER PERMANENT hence you need to acknowledge your SINS before GOD YOUR FATHER IMMEDIATELY in your HEART in any geographical location and PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST UPON YOUR LIFE TO RESTORE YOU BACK TO YOUR POSITION AS CO-HEIR WITH CHRIST IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD, YOU NEED TO BELIEVE GOD HAS FORGIVEN YOU in that place, make-up your mind and do away with any person, being, business, jobs, objects that will lead you back to such sins and its slavery.
YOU also implore the HOLY SPIRIT to help you attend Sacramental Confession for COMPLETE FORGIVENESS, RESTORATION AND COUNSELLING as JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF gave to us through HIS MINISTERIAL PRIESTS as HIS FIRST GIFT AFTER RESURRECTION {"And with that HE BREATHED on THEM and said, “RECEIVE the HOLY SPIRIT. If you forgive ANYONE'S sins, their SINS are FORGIVEN; if you DO NOT FORGIVE them, they are NOT FORGIVEN.”John 20:22-23}
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is AS IMPORTANT AS JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND MASTER KEPT IT, IN AS MUCH AS I do not condemn anybody for not being born a Practicing Catholic or sustaining THE SAME FAITH in the case of Marriage, the TRUTH ABOUT SACRAMENTAL CONFESSION, ITS IMPORTANCE AND AUTHENTICITY in the LIFE of every CHRISTIAN cannot be SWEPT UNDER CARPET in order to appear LIKABLE/ACCEPTABLE by those who are not PRACTICING CATHOLICS.

As long as you acknowledge your SINS before God, plead the Blood of Jesus Christ for restoration and cleansing, attend the Sacramental Confessions with SINCERITY, take the counselling of the Confessor Priests seriously under Submission to the HOLY SPIRIT Influence, you will also need REGULAR HOLY BIBLE STUDIES with a group and on your own personal time-table if possible daily studies in order to make a SHIFT from SIN-CONSCIOUS LIFESTYLE where you focus more on your ability to commit sin and make-up seeming excuses for them to a HOLY SPIRIT CONSCIOUS LIFESTYLE where you will now focus more on the ABILITIES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (the written Word of God in the Holy Bible, Gospel songs, Gospel audios/videos appearing and re-surfacing in your MIND NOW more regularly than any other thoughts) who lives inside you now and always to be involved in holy thoughts, desires, decisions, songs, ideas, business, relationships, activities e.t.c as THE SUPERIOR BEING IN YOUR LIFE NOW.
THE HABIT OF COMMITTING SIN REGULARLY LEAVES YOUR LIFE AS YOU GROW IN HOLINESS TO THE LEVEL OF OVERCOMING OMISSIONS ON CHARITY TOWARDS SELF AND YOUR NEIGHBOR.

What Was Timothy Charged to Do?

2 Timothy 4:1-5



"I charge thee..," introduces the text of 2 Tim. 4:1-5 and lays the ground work for our question: "What was Timothy charged to do?" The word "charge" means : "to conjure or appeal to by something sacred." (M.R. Vincent). The charge was made "before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ".

To understand the charge, we must first return to the third chapter and notice the statement of verses 16-17. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.". Six important things are seen in this writing:

scripture is inspired of God
profitable for teaching (doctrine)
profitable for reproof
profitable for correction
profitable for instruction in righteousness
makes the man of God (teacher) complete as he faces the task ahead.

When we understand the importance of the inspired record to the lives of men and women, we can then understand the importance of the charge given to Timothy.

But what was Timothy charged to do? Hear the charge as recorded in 2 Tim. 4:5 "...Do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry." The work of an evangelist is clearly set forth in verses 2-5:

The work of an evangelist is to "preach the word". The fads, fashions, popular opinions and philosophies of the day were to be discarded and nothing but the pure unadulterated word of God was to be heralded by the servant of the Master. When one reads Rom. 1:16-17, the reason becomes obvious. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; tothe Jew first, and also to the Greek."

The work of the evangelist is to be "instant in season, out of season." The preacher must be eager and "ready" to impart the wonderful message at all times. What an extraordinary lesson we learn about the work of an evangelist from Rom. 1:14-16: Vs. 14, "I am debtor..." Vs. 15 "...I am ready..." Vs. 16 "...I am not ashamed... ." As the text reminds us, there will be times when the message will not be well received. There are times when the messenger of God will have to stand alone. There are times when his heart will ache when he sees truth rejected for the fables of men, but he must be "instant in season, out of season".

The work of an evangelist is to "reprove". This means to bring the fault home to the offender. Hendriksen rightly states, "Sin must be brought home to the sinner's consciousness in order that he may repent." One can easily see that this is a responsibility that many times would not be well received by the offender. It also reminds us that the evangelist cannot possess the spirit of timidity and be pleasing to the God of heaven.

The work of an evangelist is to "rebuke". This means to help one to understand the penalty of rejection. The student of scripture can understand the importance of this responsibility when he or she reads: "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power." (2 Thes. 1:8-9) The message must be personal. It must be clear because the consequences of rejection are severe. The soul of the hearer is at stake. The work of an evangelist is to "exhort". This is a call to action in one's life. It is not enough to simply know the truth, one must make application of the principles to his or her life in order to please the Master. The evangelist is to serve as a source of encouragement in letting the sinner know that he can truly change and will be accepted by the Master when he does.

The evangelist must be "longsuffering". "The idea is slowness to wrath, gentle patience with people who have erred." (Hendriksen) The teacher must allow time for the message to be understood, digested, and acted upon. The evangelist understands that his message will be ineffective if his own attitude is not correct.

The evangelist must be willing to "endure afflictions" (kjv) "endure hardship" (nasv). One hears the echoes of Acts 5:41, "And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name", also the language of Phil. 1:29: "For unto you it is given in behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for his sake." The man who approaches the work of an evangelist feeling that he will walk through fields of ease, is a man who does not know his bible. Difficulty is not always facing the evangelist, but when it does, he must be willing to endure it.

Timothy accepted this charge and serves as an example to each of us who desires to "do the work of an evangelist". May God help us with the task.

MASTURBATION

I get lots of questions on masturbation most especially from ladies -yes, ladies masturbate a lot, especially virgins. Guys also masturbate. There is no debate on that. I'm not here to argue about who masturbates most, I need to deal with a serious issue.

Sexual urge for virgins is strong. What makes it stronger is the novelty, newness, the mystery and the hear-says about sex.

Masturbation is handling/rubbing/squeezing your genitals consistently to achieve orgasm. Ladies may stroke their female-core while guys rub, massage or caress their sexual-organ. I decided to give explicit explanation because some ask me what masturbation is. Some ladies especially non-virgins use candles, banana, small bottles, sticks, dildos or whatever represents a male sexual organ and do solo sex (having sex by yourself).

From teenage upward, you will have a strong desire for sex. It's a sure sign you are normal and capable of having and enjoying sex in marriage. In your 20s it will be stronger and intense! You may wake up feeling sexually aroused and your sexual organ will stand erect for some minutes for no single reason in the world or you become sexually aroused on seeing a curvy lady! You may start noticing shapes and curves and you have to shake your head several times to keep the image off. You may get sexually aroused on watching a romantic movie and discharge something. You check up and discover you are wet. All these are normal, you haven't committed any sin.

So what then do you do when you get hot and Hot? Have sex? I know you know my answer and some singles will never be caught dead sleeping around, so what do they do? They masturbate! They give themselves release and personal pleasure through solo sex while claiming 'virginity' at the same time. Masturbation is completely wrong and not the way out. Let me explain:

1. Masturbation is not done in isolation. It is done with the IMAGE of SOMEONE in mind. It can be a lover, an EX, a celebrity, a married person, a crush, someone you like but incapable of having. You imagine having sex with them while masturbating. That is MENTAL FORNICATION

2. For ladies, while inserting all manner of objects, you may mistakenly deflower yourself and also introduce infection into your genitals and womb. It will be very difficult to convince your future partner that you never had sex with man except objects during your solo sex.

3. You kill your ability to enjoy sex in future. Millions of women don't enjoy sex in marriage which leads to sexual frustration, adultery, lesbianism and feminism. If you are used to getting orgasm by yourself, you won't be able to get it from your husband. If you are used to objects in your private part, you won't have feelings for your husband's sexual-organ. You will always think of something harder, bigger, longer, larger and completely unrealistic! Women who complain their husbands' sexual organ is too small didn't marry as virgins. They must have been promiscuous as singles by masturbation or having several sexual partners.

4. You will not have a good sex life as a man. You will experience pre-mature ejaculation and your wife won't enjoy you leading to acute sexual frustration in marriage. You need self-control to fully enjoy sex and give your wife maximum sexual pleasure. A woman enjoys sex when the man can go on for at least 7 minutes before ejaculating. Because you are used to instant release from masturbation, you may not be able to go more than a minute before exploding leaving your wife completely unsatisfied and frustrated. She may close up, become frigid and stop having sex altogether which may lead to you having an affair, she having an affair or both of you having an affair. Self-control before marriage helps you enjoy sex to the maximum after wedlock. You are able to delay ejaculation, go on for a long time and have excellent orgasm while giving your wife pleasure too. That is why total virginity pays!

5. If you do not suffer premature ejaculation, you may have serious problem with delayed/ slow ejaculation. A situation where you get erection for several hours without ejaculation or orgasm. What is the benefit of sex without orgasm? Rough masturbation with your hands kills your ability to feel/enjoy sex with your wife. It is hell for a woman to be under a man who thrusts in for hours unable to ejaculate. How will the woman get pregnant? 3. Get busy with your life, education and career, there is more to life than sex.

4. Transmute your sexual energy: Channel your sexual energy into something great. I had a strong sex drive in the institution. I simply channeled them into my education making me the best student in my department from the second year. I was very excited and energetic. I BURNT the ENERGY on my STUDIES. I also started my ministry and was very committed as my fellowship BIBLE STUDY CO-ORDINATOR. If you don't BURN that ENERGY, YOU will COMMIT FORNICATION/ADULTERY/LESBIANISM/HOMOSEXUALITY/INCEST/BESTIALITY.

5. Study THE WORD A LOT especially PSALM 119. When you are FILLED with THE WORD, you have NO SPACE for the devil and his demons in YOUR heart.

6. Pray and speak in TONGUES ALWAYS. THE HOLY SPIRIT SANCTIFIES YOUR WHOLE BEING {SPIRIT, SOUL & BODY} CONSISTENTLY THROUGH HIS LANGUAGE FLOWING FROM INSIDE YOU TO YOUR OUTSIDE

7. Make friends with GODLY people.

8. DELETE pornography and romantic movies.

9. Get busy in THE SERVICE OF JESUS CHRIST KINGDOM.

Let me attempt to explain why the name of the Bridegroom may be associated with oil. Scripture uses many names for him, but all of them convey the idea of either love or majesty. "Two things have I heard: that you, O God are strong and that you O Lord are loving" (Psalm 62:11). The only explanation for the worldwide growth of faith is the light created by the preaching of JESUS NAME. "For once you were in darkness, but now you are light in the LORD. LIVE as CHILDREN OF LIGHT" (Eph.5:. THE NAME OF JESUS is the name that Paul carried like a dazzling torch on his travels.

THE SOCIETY AND SEXUAL SIN{CONFESSION}:
As someone who used to watch it everyday, to now watch it maybe 2-3 times a month(still trying to quit it altogether, not addicted anymore though), it is addictive pleasure and gives you a big high.
A high that keeps you coming back for more.
But each high is a new low, so the video you thought was sexual last time, won't be enough to have the same good feelings this time, so you seek for more extreme videos.
Eventually, you end up on videos where poor women get spit on, abused, raped, etc. and find its the only way to satisfy you.
Now here's the kicker...
If you get a porn addict to masturbate without porn, they CAN'T. They will sit there and literally try, but nothing will happen.
all the sexual voices are gone, the sexual video is gone, these also fueled there fantasies further, so their pleasures are dependent on this.

Take that away and they can't masturbate at all. They're addicted to porn and have gotten so far into it that they need it to get erect, and to hold an erection.
The sad thing for me was that when I stopped that crap, I WOKE UP to how sexual our society is.
I watch commercials and there is many times always a sexy woman bending over for a split second, or her butt shaking in the background subliminally or right in your face, or she's in a sexy yoga pose trying to seduce you to by their product. This is very common and I see it on tv all the time.

After, I go outside and see women wearing slutty clothing with bras trying to make their breasts basically fall out.

After, I go outside and see women wearing tight/fitted clothes {trousers, mini-skirts, bump-shotz, transparent gowns/skirts} with their body curves inviting you to lust yet they have husbands/brothers/friends/relations even clergies that see them on these dressing and keep quiet while some of them encourage them by way of compliment.

Now imagine seeing this every single day.
People are in hypnotic sexual trance states which take advantage of their hormones, and use their "urges" to justify watching porn to relieve themselves.

Its sad. Many people are subliminally brainwashed through society to be so sexual Pervert.
