Oshey9999: @Martswoll We seem to have similar profile having studied in Europe and purposely came back to apply in Naija. We both applied for our trv a day or two apart. My CIC profile is currently under eligibility review and background check is in progress as well exactly just like yours. However, mine is a little bit different in that I got a medical request last Wednesday. That was my first update after over 2 months that I submitted my application and it came with medical request. I
understand how the waiting could be frustrating and if you don't mind we can connect offline.
Regards, A decision will be made soon, brace yourself and trust in God. |

sogima: Okay. I have good travel history and my application is still pending.. it is almost 8 weeks I applied March 9 Seems like having a travel history is a double edged sword. CIC is just so unpredictable, I applied 28th February , no medical request till now , just eligibility and background checks still under review and processing till now . My only trust is in God. |

anthney87: please a very simple answer is needed.
can I use my NECO result to apply for admission in Canada? Depends on the school, some ask for WAEC or NECO for west African applicants. Check the school website well for their admission requirements, or better still give them a call or email for best information. |

Prudento: This Canada sef, they're doing shagara as if some of their provinces are not actually looking for people to come and stay. I swear Bro , for real, they have many unpopulated provinces, one of the reasons I chose kamloops BC. But you can’t blame them, if things are as good as it should be here . I wouldn’t be bothering. |

rolorolo: Hello @Martswoll. Just to clarify. Do you have travel history? In my own case, I have been in Canada before for Vacation and my status is still saying that background checks are being conducted. Yeah bro 4 years in Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, 3 days visit visa turkey, 10 days tourist to the Republic of Georgia. My status just started showing “we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements “. However background check is still under processing still even before eligibility updates . Waiting medicals too |

jnyuwa02: This isn’t EXpress Entry! Ip1 and Ip2 are algorithms associated with the process in Express Entry skilled work PR application. This is student visa application. You are not close to medical call. Your security check has not cleared. They are checking your eligibility already before security clears, this is weird and did not follow the usual trend. But that is CIC for you. Cause for concern? Because the eligibility review just started like on 21st after 7 weeks of seeing only Background check in progress. My acceptance letter says school starts May 7th , though I’ve deferred could it be a factor to the unusual trend too? |

So guys my status just had an update saying
“ we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements “
According to my image is this ip1 or ip2 and how close is medical call from now?
P.s : Been showing “ we are processing background check “ even before this recent update

sogima: I am having similar issue, I applied since March 9th. With good travel history, I am yet to get a response from Embassy. I think people with travel history , goes through a lot of scrutiny during processing. I applied for TRU kamloops BC , which school did you apply? |

Travel history 4 years bachelors program in Cyprus finished and came back last year October. 10 days tourist visa to The Republic of Georgia, 3 days transit visa turkey , entered the country.
Please guys is having a travel history a good thing or does it equally delay your application cos of background checks, cos I’ve seen people with no travel history get medical call or TRV faster between this March and April , I did Mum Biometrics on 1st March btw
Image shows my current state. Have deferred my May admission to September however.

jnyuwa02: I sincerely look forward to seeing the beautiful country Canada and becoming one of the international students of the esteemed Thompson Rivers University and being on the International students that will pioneer Nigeria-Canada business and Technology relationship and advancement in the future, because for a better future we toil today to achieve.
Please kindly remove this SOP immediately. It can lead to plagiarism of your work. Bad agents frequent this site and can lift your entire work and pass it with the application of one of their clients. Then a VO after you submit your application and reading your work, will think you plagiarized soneone’s Work because he/she had read the work somewhere before your application. Approach someone privately to help you. From the little I have perused, this essay needs a lot of work.
Stay away from calling Canada beautiful in your SOP. It reeks of desperation and a VO might easily use that against you. Stay neutral, avoid emotions and convey facts only in your SOP. Straight to the point, concise and short! Thanks brother, removed, new to this site , don’t know how things work here. Now I know |

jnyuwa02: Once you have been travelling to countries, there is more to be done on your case in checking in with those countries to see your immigration history. So don’t compare first time travaleller’s timeline with yours. To do so is like comparing apples and oranges. Yours might take longer. That said, looking at your profile, no decision on your case is anywhere near to be rendered soon. Looks like everything is still processing. Possibly they are running security checks on you with those countries that is why it is taking a little bit more time for the background check to finish. Once background check finishes and you pass, the next step is eligibility review. In that step, a calculus of whether you will come back to Nigeria, whether you have the financial worthiness to pay your expenses and other important analysis happens. All are to determine if you meet the requirements of the law for admissibility into Canada. If you do, they will call you in for medicals. Sometimes to they will even call you for medicals even when eligibility review is happening, waiting for further high class background checks if applicable. No all cases are the same or follow the same timeline. It’s good that you have deferred your resumption because CIC is not so easily predicatable. I have been waiting for mine too since September last year and have not died. Far from it. There is another guy called Abiodunne who waited one year and he didn’t die too and now in Canada. The Canada visa process is not for the faint in heart. It’s an exercise in patience, sheer will power, grace under pressure and favor from on high. Good luck!! Thanks brother your reply has given me so much relief , I pray you get your TRV soon too . God bless you |

Twallace: You did biometrics on April 1st? Practically CIC won't touch your file until they get your biometrics. Without it, it is impossible to process your app.
So your application period start counting the day you did your biometrics which is in this case April 1.
Pray and keep hope alive. Your TRV is on the way Thankd Brother , I made a mistake 1st of March it was |
